Update
Hey all, Arc here. I know it's been a minute since I updated, and I want to properly explain myself to those who have been wondering where I was or why I stopped updating The Tri-Blade Alliance.
First things first, I fell out of love with Sword Art Online. It just stopped appealing to me after the Aincrad Arc, and though I had ideas of my own for the other arcs in the series, I just didn't feel the drive to put those words to paper like I did with the Aincrad Arc. I especially didn't like the scene with Asuna and Oberon in ALO (you know the one), and I felt that Kirito was becoming too broken to keep my interest. And don't even get me started on his harem-but-not-a-harem. I didn't find writing KiriSuna scenes to be fun anymore either.
Another thing is…I wasn't a good writing partner to Solar. At all. It's a bit too personal to get into, but to put it simply: I wasn't the best older brother when he was going through some shit. Thankfully we put it behind us, but thinking about how the shit he went through while we were writing the story made me not want to continue it out of guilt.
But my drive to become a writer never died, and I have wanted to rewrite The Tri-Blade Alliance for the longest time so that it can be less inspired and more original. And that's precisely what I'm starting. With Solar. As equals.
