Chapter 4
While Osana was trying to recover from the previous fight she had against Raibaru, she begins to explain everything to Hanako about her fight against Raibaru and Taro's whereabouts.
Hanako
"So, this girl named Ayano took my brother away!? Then that means my brother was really kidnapped!"
Osana
"Yeah, the only way we can get Taro back is for me to win this upcoming fighting tournament."
Hanako
"Well, when does the tournament start?"
Osana
"Well, according to the text message I got from Ayano, the tournament begins next week."
Hanako
"I see. And the reason you were fighting Raibaru?"
Osana sighs and begins to explain.
Osana
"She was testing me to see if I am able to defeat Ayano."
Hanako
"But Raibaru beat you. Wait, even if you lost to Raibaru, you could still defeat Ayano and save my brother right?"
Osana looks down and begins to softly cry a bit.
Osana
"I don't know, Hanako. I really don't know."
Hanako
"Wait, what do you mean you don't know!?"
Raibaru
"Sorry to interrupt, Hanako. But, do you mind if I speak with Osana for a bit?
Hanako
"Oh, ok."
Raibaru sits next to Osana and begins to talk to her.
Raibaru
"Now do you finally understand, Osana? Without knowing how to parry, this is as far as you can go."
Osana
"I guess you're right. Seems like I'll never be able to save Taro from Ayano."
Osana softly cries again. But Raibaru suddenly stands up and begins to explain something to Osana.
Raibaru
"Actually, there's still hope."
Osana
"What do you mean, Raibaru?"
Raibaru
"What I mean is that there's still a possible chance for you to win this tournament."
Osana
"But, how!?"
Raibaru
"I can try to teach you everything about the art of parrying. Once you master your parrying skills, then you might have a chance to win this fighting tournament and save your friend."
Raibaru then bow to Osana begging her.
Raibaru
"Please, Osana! Let me teach you everything about parrying!"
After deciding for several seconds, Osana accepts the request.
Osana
"Alright, I'll do it."
Raibaru
"Thank you so much, Osana."
Osana and Raibaru then exchanged phone numbers in order to get in contact regarding the training.
Raibaru
"Since you're currently exhausted from the fight we had earlier, we'll begin our parrying training at my house starting tomorrow morning. I'll also send you my address once I get back home."
Osana
"Alright. Thanks, Raibaru."
Raibaru
"No problem. See you tomorrow morning, Osana."
Raibaru waved goodbye to Osana and walked away. After that, Osana went back to see Hanako who was sitting on the bench waiting.
Hanako
"So, what did Raibaru say?"
Osana
"She said she'll be teaching me how to parry starting tomorrow morning at her place."
Hanako
"I see. So what are you going to do now?"
Osana
"I'm going to go home and rest for now since I'm currently exhausted from the fight today."
As Osana tries to walk back home, she fell down due to her injures from the fight against Raibaru.
Hanako
"Osana! Are you ok!?"
Osana
"I'm fine. I'm just a bit exhausted from the fight."
Hanako
"Here, let me help."
Hanako then used the human crutch method to help Osana get home.
Osana
"Thanks, Hanako. I owe you one."
Hanako
"Your welcome. Once I get you home, be sure to get some good rest."
Osana
"I know, Hanako! You don't have to tell me that!"
Hanako
"Okay jeez, calm down would you!?"
After Hanako dropped Osana back to her home, Osana immediately went to her room to get some rest. The next morning, Osana wakes up from her nap and checks her phone for Raibaru's message.
Osana
"Oh, this must be Raibaru's address."
Osana put Raibaru's address into her GPS app to see how far it is from her home. To her surprise, it's only a few minute walk from her home.
Osana
"Huh, it's only a few minute walk. I didn't know she lives close to me."
After that, Osana looks at her clock. The clock currently reads 9:00 am.
Osana
"(It's currently nine in the morning. I should probably head to her house right now. But first, I need a good breakfast!)"
After making and finishing her breakfast, Osana left her house and begin to walk to Raibaru's house. While on her way to Raibaru's house, she saw Hanako running towards her.
Hanako
"Good morning, Osana!"
Osana
"Morning, Hanako. How are you feeling?"
Hanako
"I'm feeling alright. Say, are you currently on your way to Raibaru's house?"
Osana
"Yeah. My parrying training is about to start soon. So, I'm going to her house right now."
Hanako
"Can I come?"
Osana
"Um, let me ask Raibaru."
Osana texted Raibaru to ask if Hanako could come. A few seconds later, Raibaru replied saying that Hanako could come.
Osana
"She said yes."
Hanako
"Yay! Let's go then!"
A few minutes later, the two finally arrived at Raibaru's house. They were also shocked to see how big Raibaru's house was.
Hanako
"This is her house!? It's way bigger than ours!"
Osana
"It's not only big! It's also very traditional looking!"
Osana
"(Gosh, now I feel a bit jealous.)"
Osana rings the doorbell. Seconds later, the two heard Raibaru's voice from the door speaker.
Raibaru
"Who is it?"
Osana
"It's me, Osana! I'm here for the training! And I also brought Hanako along with me!"
Raibaru
"Ok, I'll be right back. I'm going to check the camera really quick to make sure it's really you two."
Raibaru went to check the cameras really quick while Osana and Hanako wait at the front entrance for a bit.
Hanako
"Wow, she's very cautious!"
Osana
"You don't say!"
A few seconds later, Raibaru returns.
Raibaru
"Oh my gosh, it is you two! I'll open the entrance gate right away!"
The entrance gate opens and Raibaru comes out to greet the two with a smile on her face.
Raibaru
"Welcome to my house, you two! Please, come on in."
As Osana and Hanako followed Raibaru to her house, the two noticed how big and beautiful her front yard was.
Osana
"(Wow, her front yard is beautiful and gigantic. It's like a Zen garden in here.)"
Hanako
"Look, Osana! She got a giant pond full of Koi fishes!"
Osana
"Oh my god, you right! There's so many of them!"
Raibaru
"Sorry to bother, Osana, but we need to go to my dojo right now so you can begin your parrying training."
Osana
"Alright. So, where's your dojo then?"
Raibaru
"It's in my backyard."
Hanako
"You have a dojo?"
Raibaru
"Yep. You do realize that I have been practicing martial arts since I was little. Plus, I was also once the president of the martial arts club at Akademi. That's the reason why my family owns a dojo."
Hanako
"Wow, I didn't know that!"
Raibaru
"Anyways, let's quickly head to my dojo."
Raibaru guides Osana and Hanako to her dojo. As they enter the dojo, the two were again shocked to see how big and fancy Raibaru's dojo was.
Hanako
"Even her family's dojo is bigger than our house!"
Osana
"Ugh, stop saying that, Hanako! Now, you're making me feel more jealous!"
Raibaru
"Hehe, you two are so funny! Ok, let's be serious right now!"
Raibaru then point at Osana with a serious and confident expression.
Raibaru
"Osana! Are you ready to learn how to parry!?"
Osana took a deep breath and nodded.
Osana
"Yes, Raibaru!"
Raibaru
"Then let's do this!"
