Stefan couldn't even look at Elena. Every time he saw her eyes, he saw her biting people and feeding on their blood. Elena may not have chosen her blood source, but she was still one of them.

Damon on the other hand found Elena quite pleasant to be around. He was less likely to groan whenever she entered the Salvatore Boarding House late at night. Although, he found it quite frustrating when she refused to stop feeding because someone was close to discovering her.

"Elena, I think it's best if you just stay with us. It's safer for you and for everyone. Until you're under control, we can just...dine here." Damon suggested, Elena rolling her eyes.

"Fine. But I choose what we feed on." She smiled.

"I'm happy to catch a live animal, as long as I don't have to drain it." Damon asked.

"Deal." Elena smiled as Stefan walked into the room.

"Morning." Stefan said as he sat down. Only one curtain was open, as Elena was not yet able to walk around during the day.

"How are you doing, Elena?" Stefan asked. He was sitting close to Elena, but he was still not comfortable being any closer, even if he was still her boyfriend.

"I'm feeling better after my first feed. Damon has been teaching me a lot. I may have seen you guys feed a lot, but I'm still getting used to it." Elena smiled as Stefan looked at her.

"Good. I'm glad you're feeling better." Stefan said, his tone not changing. He had made his feelings known, and as much as Elena was hurt by Stefan's distance, she understood and didn't press him further on the subject.

"Ignore your...dick of a boyfriend. Come with me and I can teach you some more about feeding." Damon held out his hand, Elena taking it.

Leading her to the study, he left her there for a few minutes, going back to Stefan.

"Cut the crap, Stefan. She's a vampire now, big deal. The more we teach her early on, the less people find out and the better she will be at hiding it." Damon hissed as his brother, who looked up at him. Standing up, Stefan angrily pushed Damon out of his way.

"You've got one small issue with your plan, brother. The sun. It'll kill her." Stefan objected.

"No. You're wrong. You see, the rings we wear, they have 2 duplicates that serve the same purpose. When we give one of the rings to Elena, after she's gotten used to her new future, we can teach her about it and that way she can go back to normal...or as normal as she can be when she's undead." Damon explained to Stefan, who seemed to be at a loss for words.

"I can't believe you're really supporting this." Stefan scoffed.

"Well someone has to. I mean, one brother, the man who is supposed to be her boyfriend by loving and supporting her, is acting like a dick about her new future. Whereas the other brother, is supporting her and making sure that she doesn't mess up or get us caught. One of us is supporting her future and the other is against it. Can you guess who's who?" Damon got in Stefan's face.

"That's what I thought." Damon backed off, going back to Elena so he could help her.

"Damon." Stefan stopped his older brother.

"What do you want now? I have a student to teach." Damon groaned.

"Thank you. For helping her." For the first time all day, Stefan smiled at his brother.

"That's what brothers are for." Damon smirked before walking off.

Walking back into the study, Damon watched as Elena sat on his father's chair, her journal in hand as she wrote.

"You still writing in that thing?" Damon laughed.

"How else am I supposed to stay sane now that I'm a vampire? God knows you and Stefan definitely make me feel insane and mad." Elena laughed as she finished writing before closing her journal.

"Let's get you onto learning some useful tips. This book will help with your knowlege. You already know some of it, but not most things." Damon smiled at Elena as he placed a big book down in front of her, opening it up to the first page.
