I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

A/N: I thought that it would be pretty neat, plus since we don't really know how long that Arlo and Spot was with the Tyrannosaur family. And I really want to do it.

Another day had come and gone for a small group of dinosaurs and a cave boy as they were still leading the herd of Longhorns through the country side. While they had stopped the herd just a few yards from a rocky overhang, Arlo the green Apatosaurus, Spot the cave boy sat with Butch, Ramsey and Nash, three reddish brown Tyrannosaurs under the overhang. A fire sat in between the five as they took the time to relax. Arlo looked to the patriarch of the Tyrannosaur family and asked, "So, how much further do you think we have to go?"

"It might not be too much further now." Butch guessed. The elder Tyrannosaur wanted to be reassuring for the young Apatosaur. Butch then suggested, "Maybe another day of travel and we might be able to see a sign of your home."

"Maybe." Arlo shrugged, wanting to stay hopeful, but was finding it a little hard. Nash looked to his father and suggested, "Maybe we should pass the time with a story, Pa."

"That might be a good idea, boy." Butch nodded to his son in agreement. Ramsey the asked, "Think you could tell us that one legend you know about?"

"Oh, that one." Butch instantly knew what she was talking about. Arlo was now curious himself and asked, "What's the legend, Butch?"

"Well now, it's a story that goes back a good long while ago." Butch scratched his chin, trying to remember how the legend goes. Then he said, "The legend speaks of a Dino that was a fearsome warrior king.

"And the tale I'm about to tell is one filled with horrors and dangers…" Butch said when he glanced over to the setting sun.

(Cue Legend of the Scorpion King track)

A much younger sun flashed over an older dinosaur kingdom. Even though the sun was shining down on the ancient world, it would be a dark day as a great battle was about to commence. A large lush valley was surrounded by a large desert. Dinosaurs of different kinds were gathering before the opening of the valley. They were preparing their natural defenses of claws, teeth, horns and tails. They were defending the valley from an invading army of dinosaurs that were a few yards from them. The invading dinosaurs stomped or scratched their feet against the ground while screeching, bellowing or roaring.

Butch: It began thousands of years ago, when dinosaurs of all kinds were just startin' to get along. A fierce Dino known as the Scorpion Dinosaur led a massive army on a campaign to conquer the world.

The Scorpion Dinosaur's army looked a whole lot meaner than the defending army. Painted in red all over their bodies were scorpions. They all stood in long lines as they waited to charge towards their enemies. The invading army of dinosaurs in the middle of the formation suddenly moved aside. A lone dinosaur warrior walked up to the head of the army with a growl. The dino in question was a pretty large T-rex. One his chest, sides and forehead, a red scorpion was painted. In the Tyrannosaurs mouth was a scorpion's stinger that jutted out from his lip. The Scorpion Dinosaur raised his head into the air and let loose a roar that was followed by the cries of his army.

The Scorpion Dinosaur looked over at the army of defending dinosaurs. His own army waited for his command and the Scorpion Dinosaur shouted, "Haku Mashente!"

Another round of roars, bellows and screeches followed after. With another roar, the Scorpion Dinosaur rushed forward with his comrades behind him. The defending dinosaur armies gave their own war cries before rushing forward as well. They all shouted as the two armies drew ever closer and closer to each other. It wasn't much longer when the two armies came together in an epic clash.

Bodies smashed together, teeth and claws tore through flesh as the battle commenced. A Triceratops impaled a Brachiosaur in the side with their long horns and the bigger dinosaur bellowed from the pain. A Velociraptor leapt into the air and tackled into a Parasaurolophus. The two became a tangled mess of scales as they tumbled along the ground. The Scorpion Dinosaur used his great head to bash into the skull of a Pteranodon before smacking another dinosaur with his tail. Another Tyrannosaur came running up to him with his jaws wide open, but the Scorpion Dinosaur was able to move out of the way before slamming his own jaws down on the enemy Tyrannosaur's neck. The enemy dinosaur went down with a roar of pain and was soon silenced when the Scorpion Dinosaur released him before slamming his foot on the downed dinosaur's head. The soldiers of both dinosaur armies continued to fight and slaughter each other as the battle continued to rage. The Scorpion Dinosaur crushed a couple of small dinosaurs under his foot before snatching up an herbivore with his jaws and bit down to end its life. The Scorpion Dinosaur turned around just as an Iguanodon came running up to him with a glare. The Tyrannosaur waited for just the right moment as he lowered his head and then flipped the herbivore through the air before knocking another dinosaur away. The Iguanodon grunted when his back hit the ground. But just as he was about to get back up, the Scorpion Dinosaur's jaws came down over his head before ripping it off. The herbivore's body went limp while the Tyrannosaur opened his jaws and let the bloody head fall to the ground. With a growl, the Scorpion Dinosaur turned and roared as he rushed to engage another dinosaur in combat.

But it was all for naught as the Scorpion Dinosaur's army had been defeated and driven out. An injured Velociraptor fell to the ground dead as his king and comrades walked deep into the desert.

Butch: After a vicious campaign that lasted for seven long years, the Scorpion Dinosaur and his army were defeated and driven into the sacred desert of Ahm Shere.

The Scorpion Dinosaur and his prehistoric warriors walked deep into the desert as the sun bore harshly down on them as they continued. Some dinosaurs dragged their tails while others hung their heads in defeat. As they continued walking, the Scorpion Dinosaur looked up when he heard a scavenging Pteranodon screech. But with a grim frown he continued to march across the desert with the others.

Later on, the majority of the Scorpion Dinosaur's army had fallen dead due to the heat of the sun and the lack of food and water. A Brontosaurus fell dead against the sand and was soon followed by a Gallimimus as he dropped to the ground before rolling down a sand dune.

Butch: One by one, the dinosaurs slowly perished under the scorching sun… Until only the great Tyrannosaur warrior himself was left alive.

But the Scorpion Dinosaur was the only one left as he continued to walk through the large desrt, though he too was beginning to feel the fatigue. He started to stumble as he walked and his eyes were drooping from the exhaustion. After some time, the warrior dinosaur made it to the top of another sand dune, but he stopped when he was too exhausted to go on any further.

Butch: When he was all but dead, the Scorpion Dinosaur went and made a pact with the Dark God.

The exhausted Tyrannosaur looked up to the clear sky and prayed in an ancient language. It seemed like he was making a vow of sorts to a deity.

A pretty big black scorpion suddenly popped out from the sand and crawled towards the Scorpion Dinosaur. He looked down to the arachnid and took it as a sign that his pact with the Dark God was made. He gingerly lifted his foot towards it and became wary when the scorpion became defensive before stepping on it. The scorpion responded by stabbing into his foot with its stinger and the Tyrannosaur grunted in pain with each strike. The Scorpion Dinosaur lowered his head and bit its head off for sustenance and the scorpion squealed as its life ended.

Butch: The Dark God accepted the deal and spared the Scorpion Dinosaur's life.

Suddenly, blades of grass started to erupt from the sand and grew all around the Scorpion Dinosaur. The startled Tyrannosaur looked about as large ferns sprouted around him and more forms of greenery started to appear and spread out for miles. The Scorpion Dinosaur turned a full circle as he watched the greenery continue to grow from the sand. Only when he had turned a full circle is when all the plants stopped growing and the surrounding desert had become the Oasis of Ahm Shere. A grin formed on the Scorpion Dinosaur's face before he lifted his head and let out a triumphant roar.

The Scorpion Dinosaur then once again attacked the valley where his original army had failed. Only this time he was leading an army of demonic dinosaurs by his side. The dark warriors looked like they were just about every species of dinosaur you could imagine, only that they had crawled from the darkest parts of the world. They were able to breach the opening and poured into the valley as they attacked. They searched, attacked and killed the dinosaurs that they found. One demonic dinosaur slapped a Hadrosaur to the ground while it violently ripped off the head of another dinosaur. It stepped onto the headless corpse and looked down at it. Its lips peeled back and it let loose a powerful roar.

Butch: The Dark God went and gave the Scorpion Dinosaur command of his army. And like an evil flood they washed away all that lay before them.

Many of the demonic dinosaur warriors of the Dark God continued to pour into the city and continued the onslaught. Fires were started and blood from many animals stained the ground. Some of the demonic dinosaur warriors killed the dinosaurs of the valley on the spot, while others dragged others to a high point of the city and threw them over the edge. The falling dinosaurs screamed as they fell to their deaths. The warriors of the Dark God pushed down structures of all kinds as they continued to cause a great deal of destruction of and death.

Butch: When his task was done, the Dark God forced the Scorpion Dinosaur to serve him for all time.

From his spot, the Scorpion Dinosaur had a dark grin on his face as he looked about the destruction that his new army had caused. While he was looking in a certain direction, he didn't notice that a painting of the dark one's eyes started to glow orange before a blast of magic came from them.

The magic extended from the painting and it struck the Tyrannosaur from behind. The Scorpion Dinosaur grunted in pain as his soul was taken from him. Both his body and his soul screamed in pain as they were separated. His body continued to shake and the scorpion stinger in his mouth fell from its place. The stinger fell into the sand as the Scorpion Dinosaur's body fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Butch: His army went and returned to the sands from where they came.

The demonic dinosaur warriors continued to run through the streets before the disintegrated into black sand. One demonic dinosaur warrior gave one final roar before it turned to black dust and it fell to the ground.

Butch: Where they wait to be awakened once again.

Arlo and Spot were completely shocked by the story. Arlo then asked, "Is it true, Butch?"

"I can't say for certain, I only know of it as a legend." Butch shook his head. But unbeknownst to them, as he watched the fire, Nash's eyes briefly glowed orange. He shook his head to get himself back on track.
