A/N: This was based of this post that I saw on TikTok and I can't find the original poster but this what it said: IMAGINE! Regulus pretends to have a crush on Remus to light a fire under his big brother's ass and force Sirius into acting on his own feelings for Remus. (Incidentally, it also lights a fire under James's ass and he and Regulus get together too. Just a fun little benefit). If you know the original poster then please let me know! Also the nickname Reynard is from 'The fate that ties us together by Stargirl29' It is a really good fic about wolfstar and jegulus getting together with some soulmate au sprinkled in there. I really recommend it.

"I have a crush on Remus," Sirius confesses to his little brother Regulus. They were having one of their late-night talks at the Potter's house. When Sirius ran away, he brought Regulus with him, it has been 2 years since then. Now Sirius was in 7th year and Regulus in 6th year.

"Tell me something I don't know Sirius," Regulus says. "Are you planning on telling him and that is why you are now telling me this?"

"No."

"No?"

"Never ever. I don't want to ruin our friendship. He probably doesn't even like me like that. I mean why would he ever like me like that anyway?" Sirius rambles off while Regulus is questioning life. 'How fucking dense is this man that he doesn't see the way these idiots look at each other. You would have thought they have been married for decades. Well, it is clear as day that he won't do anything so it is no use trying. It would be a waste of energy. Maybe try Remus? No, that is too awkward. Wait. I got it. What if I pretend to have a crush on Remus and then it would light a fire under his ass?'

"Okay. Guess that means I can make a move on Remus then."

"Excuse me?"

"I have had a crush on Remus for a couple months now. Do you think you could ask to see if he might like me? You know, ask who he likes."

"I- what?"

"Oh, do you not want me to talk to you about it? I thought it was fine now that I know you don't want to make a move. I can not talk to you about it if you want."

"NO! No, dearest brother. Tell me more." Sirius practically shouts. 'Good, I got him hooked. This might work better than I thought.' Regulus thinks to himself.

'I just want to know because he is one of my best friends. Maybe I could sabotage him. But it is my brother. But it will hurt so much. But I want them to be happy. But I want to be happy. Maybe I could make a move first? But the friendship could be ruined. And what about Regulus? UGH! What do I do?' Sirius was sparling.

"Well, I am planning on just giving him hints, maybe? What do you think?" Regulus replies.

"That sounds great. I am going to bed. I am exhausted. Night Regulus."

"Night Sirius," Regulus says. 'Oh yeah, this is working.'

In The Morning

Remus was coming over in about an hour. Peter couldn't make it sadly though because he was visiting a cousin in America. Regulus and Sirius were both dreading it. Sirius because he would have to watch Regulus flirt, or attempt whatever the fuck he had planned. Regulus because he has to pretend to fancy Remus. He had never seen Remus in that light and in fact he has fancied James for now. This was going to be hard.

"Remus! It's so great to see you, my dear! How are you? Your sister? Mother? Father?" Euphemia says after she opened the door. 'Here we go. You can do this Regulus. You just got to be a little more friendly.' Regulus tells himself in his head.

"I am doing good and so is my family. They are going to my sister's friend's house." Remus replies, letting Euphemia kiss his cheeks and hug him like a son.

"Let me know if you need anything. I am going to be working in the garden outside. You boys do nothing dumb." Euphemia says walking to the backyard and Remus walks into the living where everyone is. 'Here goes nothing. Merlin, please kill me.' Regulus thinks to himself. "Hey Remus, what have you been reading lately?" Regulus asks, trying to be as friendly as possible. 'FUCK ME!' Regulus thinks to himself right after he says it.

"Oh, hey Regulus. I have been reading the Picture of Dorian Gray. It is fantastic." Remus replies clearly, ready to talk about all he knows about the story.

"That is cool! Is it a muggle book?"

"Yes, it is! It is about. . ." And Remus rambles about the book. Regulus actually being very invested in it started talking about it just passionately too. Sirius and James look on with jealousy. James has caught feelings for Regulus, when it started he couldn't tell it just kinda happened one day. Except unlike Sirius, James was going to do something about it. Maybe. . .eventually. . .Okay so James has been trying to do something all summer, and it is August now. And this was just salt in the wound.

James nor Sirius could bring themselves to do anything that day. But they are going to do something about it! They were Gryffindors damn it!

6 Months Later

So, maybe they weren't as brave as they thought they were. It is now January, and they have done nothing. James was looking at the ceiling in the dorm room. Peter was also in the dorm room. Sirius and Remus were. . .somewhere. Then James did something he didn't expect. "Wormtail? How do you tell someone you like them?" James asks and then immediately regrets it. "Why are you asking me, James?" Peter asks, looking more confused than he does in charms.

"I just don't know what to do. There is this person I like but I don't know if they like me. And I get super nervous before I can tell them and I have tried to for like 6 months now. So I thought I might as well ask someone and you are here."

"Well, James, you gave me practically nothing to go on. Just tell them and hope for the best. If worse comes to worst just tell them it was a prank/joke. I did that once, and it actually worked. We are known for our pranks/jokes so it isn't impossible to jump to that."

"You know what Peter, that is a great idea! I don't know how I didn't think that myself. See you later, Peter." James gets up and runs out of the dorm room. When James closed the door Peter let out a sigh. He just bullshited his way through the conversation wanting to get back to his book on new wizarding chess strategies.

James found Regulus easily, he knew where he hid in the library. Regulus was of course there and he was doing arithmancy. 'Alright, James, you can do this. You are a Gryffindor and you can do this. Come on, just remember what Peter said. Everything will be fine.' James' heart was going faster than a seeker trying to catch up and get the golden snitch. "Hey, Regulus, what are you doing?" James asks and Regulus' head snaps and eyes with shock and then softens and he smiled. 'You fucking coward!' His brain tells him.

"Just some arithmancy work. What's up Prongs?" Regulus asks to take a break and stretch his hands from working on homework.

"Well, Reynard I have this monster of a charms essay to do that is due in like 3 days. So do you mind if I do it here?" 'COWARD!' James thinks to himself. Why can't he just say it?

"Sure," Regulus says and starts up on his work again. His gray and black eyes looked intently at his work. His black hair barely creasing his shoulders messier than normal, clearly, he was tugging his hair out of stress and confusion. His brow is slightly drawn together.

They worked in silence for 30 minutes until James finally got the guts to say it.

"Regulus."

"Hm?"

"I um I like you as in like I want to date you." James finally got out of his mouth. Regulus was shocked. "Please say something," James says, panicking.

"You like me?"

"Yes."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Regulus then threw himself onto James knocking them down. When they both fell on top of each other Regulus kissed him. He then pulled back.

"You do not know how long I have been wanting to hear that." And they were kicked out of the library. But it was fine. They were going to go to the astronomy tower, anyway.

With Sirius And Remus

Right at the end of classes, Remus drags Sirius off to an empty classroom. Sirius was looking at his friend with confusion. Why did he seem so upset with him?

"What the bloody hell is wrong with you? You have been so sour and upset for literal months. And I am sick of dealing with your stupid mood. So what is it?" Remus says pissed off. 'It is now or never.' Sirius thinks to himself.

"I like you. I want to go on a date with you." Sirius says in a panic-like state.

"I- what?"

"I like you Moony. I have been trying to ask you on a date." Sirius says, closing his eyes. He wasn't sure what Remus was going to do. And then he felt lips on his. Then he opens his eyes and Remus pulls away. "Yes, I would love to go on a date, Sirius. But why were you in such a mood then?"

"Well, I was jealous because Regulus said he had a crush on you and was going to try to flirt with you." Remus looked stunned at what Sirius said and then laughed.

"Why are you laughing?"

Remus started talking in between laughs. "He does not have a crush on me."

"Moony now is not the time to be self-deprecating.

"No, no, Padfoot. He likes James. Think about how he looks at him. He probably did it to make you finally confess to having this happen." It was now Sirius' turn to be stunned.

"Y-your right! OH MERLIN JAMES LIKE REGULUS! THEY LIKE EACH OTHER BUT DON'T LIKE WE WERE! WE MUST HELP THEM! WAIT! BUT THEN JAMES WOULD DATE MY LITTLE REGULUS! Never mind, we will do nothing." Remus just shook his head at Sirius' antics.

Let's just say Sirius almost died when they came back to the dorm to see James snuck Regulus into the dorms and they were cuddling.
