Cheetah's Narration: A thousand years ago, the Daemons invaded the earth with the Great Barrier. They split the world into realms, and created laws to keep each realm under control. Since that day, the world has not seen a blue sky. But today, in the midst of the turmoil, a band of fighters form a resistance movement that will slowly but surely take their world back. And with the help of some unexpected allies.

In the midst of a city in the rain, a young girl was running to the square as if looking for something or someone. After asking for directions, she finally found her target.

"Galil! There you are." the girl said upon reaching the top of the hill. "I've been looking for you, you know!"

"Oh, it's just you, Azura." the boy named Galil said.

"Don't 'it's just you' me! What are you up to?" the girl named Azura asked.

"Oh, well…" Galil said, looking to the sky. "I was thinking what it would be like if you were right."

"Right about what?" Azura asked.

"Azura, weren't you wondering how pretty the sky would be if it was blue?" Galil asked.

"No, not IF it's blue." Azura said as she walked towards him. "It really is blue!"

Galil laughed a bit at her statement. "I don't know about that… I can't even imagine a blue sky, and when I try, it kind of creeps me out."

"Oh, now you're just making fun of me!" Azura said.

"No, I'm not." Galil said, shaking his head. "Anyway, you wanted to see me for something?"

"Oh, right. Dad was asking for you." Azura said.

"Your old man…? For what?" Galil asked.

Azura led Galil over to the pub in town, where they soon meet a man behind the counter.

"I got him, Dad." Azura said.

"Got a new job for us?" Galil asked.

"Yes. Let's talk about it downstairs. Wouldn't want the customers to hear." the old man said as the two followed him to the basement.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to come here?" Rayleigh asked through his disguise.

"We don't have the luxury of choice. For all we know, Dark Garden's branches could titter-totter either way with no way of knowing if they'd be allies or not. Do you have a better idea?" Jessica asked.

"I know, but… An underground resistance movement? Is that really the best we could do?" Rayleigh asked.

"We're running out of options. Not a lot of high-end organizations out there trust us." Cheetah said, disguised as well. "Besides, there are beastfolk among them as well. We'd blend right in."

"Oooh, so that was the angle, huh? You know, Cheetah. You're smarter than people give you credit for." Zenji said.

"I appreciate the compliment, Zenji. But that kind of rings a bit hollow." Cheetah said.

"Still reeling about that bit with the Otter, are you?" Nesma asked.

"For good reason. It was clearly not my finest moment." Cheetah said.

"But you managed to recover from that pretty quickly, all things considered." George said.

"Yeah, so come on. Don't make too big a deal out of this. You managed to win the KOF tournament, after all. That's got to be worth something." Matthew said.

"I suppose." Cheetah said as the group saw Galil and Azura go right past them and out the pub. "That's our cue. Let's go."

The group followed Galil and Azura outside of town, before they encountered monsters. It wasn't long before the group cut them down.

"What the…? Beastfolk?" Galil asked as he got defensive. "Don't come any closer!"

"Hey, hey, relax! There are humans here too!" Agito said.

"Hmm… You seem like a pretty odd group." Galil said. "What business do you have here?"

"Our business doesn't matter much at the moment. Only that we ask that we accompany you in your task." Esmeralda said.

"Galil, they seem really strong. They can definitely help us out." Azura said.

"Well, if you say so, Azura." Galil said. "Alright then, we'll let you come along with us."

"Thank you. We promise, you will not regret this." Tear said.

"We're heading for the Recon Tower just east of town. You can help us against the monsters, if you want." Azura said.

"Gladly." Cheetah said.

The group soon reached the recon tower, where they met a young man with brown hair.

"Well, look who it is. Fancy seeing you two here." the young man said. "Silver Rain has been begging for new intel." he said as he looked over the letter that Galil sent him. "Oh, my my my… It seems that a Daemon big shot is on his way here. Not to mention some ruins discovered in the southwest. They call it the Ancient Museum. It might be all very dangerous over there. Good thing you've got all these bodyguards with you."

"Thanks for the tip, Renzo. We'll be careful." Galil said.
