As the group works to form alliances with all the guilds in the realms, they returned to the Ancient Museum to observe a gate they couldn't go through before. After defeating the beast inside, they were able to destroy the Ether Gear, leading to the Great Barrier weakening and the rain finally stopping. However, this trip also revealed a startling fact. A Beastfolk named Ezmerelda killed Azura's mother. This left Esmeralda quite sickened. They also did the same thing in the Burning Realm, and after gaining the support of all the Guilds, assembled them at the Brionac.
"Alright, Barbarosa. Everyone is here." Glacius said.
"Well, we have come a long way to establish an Alliance of this scale." Barbarosa said. "To make the best use of our power, communication between guild members is critical. Thus, I wished to suggest a means of communication at the basis of sharing information."
"He has a point. Unless you have our comms, communicating from long-distances is going to be difficult." Zamazenta said. "That is… Unless you are a Psychic, Ghost or Bug type, or a Legendary Pokemon, in which you have other ways."
"Yes, while it may be an alliance, each faction in it would still need to work individually." Jade said. "Speaking from experience of being in Spirit Force, of course."
"Thus, why we need means of communication. Like a telegraph, for example." Barbarosa said.
"Would there be enough towers to talk to everyone, though?" Belladonna asked.
"If there aren't, we'll just have to make more." Kayra said.
"Making towers across all the realms is gonna be quite a task, I would say." Cheetah said.
"All of this was Wyatt's idea." Barbarosa said. "He even had plans to mass produce the towers."
"Wait, Wyatt really did? That's the first anyone here has heard about it." Rayleigh said.
"Wyatt believed that there are people on the other side of the Dark Current. That's why he planned all of this." Barbarosa said.
"Don't we need blueprints for the towers, though? Their construction seems quite complicated." Bassam said.
"Do not worry. I am familiar with the tower's design. That is how I managed to build the Recon Guild tower, after all." Barbarosa said.
"Of course, a good foundation is key. They can't be made anywhere we want." Kareem said.
"After that, we will have to enlist people into those towers to make them operational." Glacius said.
"We can try asking around in the towns. I'm sure there are some people that will be willing to enlist." Luke said.
"In that case, why don't we use the Brionac as the headquarters and central point of contact?" Glacius asked.
"That is a great idea!" Aoesia said. "With this, we'll be able to dispatch from each guild here."
Everyone seems to be in agreement with the idea, and they got into rigorous work over the next several days. All five pillars were established to represent the different guilds allying together.
"Wow, Barbarosa. I had no idea you were into construction." Esmeralda said.
"It helps that Beastfolk are usually much more physically inclined than humans." Barbarosa said. "I hope that encounter earlier didn't get to you too much."
Esmeralda just laughs it off. "Who, me? Don't worry about me. Having someone of the same name kill Azura's mother is quite a shock, yes. But I have no need to worry about that."
"Heh. You really are a strong one, you know that? It's quite an admirable quality." Barbarosa said.
"Oh trust me, someone we are well acquainted with has that very same idea." Esmeralda said.
"Oh, so this friend of yours likes strong women?" Barbarosa asked.
"I guess you can say that." Esmeralda said, laughing a bit. "He's actually quite energetic. I think you will grow to like him."
"I surely hope so." Barbarosa said. "Maybe we will see him again once our battle against the Daemons is over."
"Yes… I'm sure we will." Esmeralda said with a smile. "(Ishihara… You better not die until then, got it?)"
