Preferring not to take the easy way out and pay Blue his fee, the group set out to search for the four items on his list in the Water Devil Dens instead.
"So, how will we know if we find a lair with one of Blue's items?" Aoesia asked.
"We would have to be able to sense very strong magical energy." Cheetah said.
"There are four of these, so I say let's start cracking some skulls." Rayleigh said.
The group set their sites on the first Water Devil Den they found, in which was a massive beast with a tiger's head upside down where its chin should be.
"Hmph… What are you punks doin' in my territory, huh?" the beast asked.
"We're looking for four treasures. Do you know about them?" Esmeralda asked.
"Know about them? I have one. The Lost Shield is what I've got." the beast said. "I'm a bit thirsty for energy though. Come on. Let me suck some energy out of you."
"Yeah… 'Fraid we're gonna have to pass on that offer." Matthew said.
"So be it. I, Tao Tie, was just starting to get hungry. Let's see how you all taste!" the beast roared.
Tao Tie didn't really get the chance, as while he was extremely powerful, he was not invincible. The group's combined might was more than enough to quell this foe. As he was soon laying dead and the group claimed the Lost Shield.
"Whew… That was pretty brutal." Glacius said.
"The fact that we were able to defeat it proves our strength." Esmeralda said. "Those Beast Pirates will think twice about underestimating us by the time we are done here."
"Well, said. Now, let us find the other items." Cheetah said.
The group navigated to another Water Devil Den, where waiting at the end was a large creature with big fangs and spikes coming out of its body.
"Visitors. I am Tao Wu, keeper of this paradise. What business do you have here?" the creature introduced itself.
"We're looking for a treasure that could get us to Daemonia." Rayleigh said.
"Ah, so it is Revolution 7 that you seek?" Tao Wu asked. "I could simply hand it over, if you decide to become my minions."
"Hard pass, buddy." Rayleigh said. "We'll just claw our way to it, if you don't mind."
"Whoa, just take it easy now. I have done nothing to merit this assault!" Tao Wu said. "I built this Paradise! You dare attempt to take it without the Council's decree?"
"Whoa, whoa. Hold on, that's not what we are after at all. We just want Revolution 7." Agursu said.
"How many more like me have you slain?" Tao Wu asked.
"Just Tao Tie, but he attacked us first." Esmeralda said.
"Very well, I see your game. Face me and prove your might!" Tao Wu said.
Just like with Tao Tie, the group fought their hardest and managed to defeat Tao Wu.
"Hmm… Your might have been proven. I can see why Tao Tie had trouble with you. Very well. Take Revlution 7 and go." Tao Wu said.
"You sure seem pretty adamant about guarding this place. If you thought we were bad, then you are going to be in for a rude awakening when the Beast Pirates come knocking." Captain Cold said.
"He is right. Once they reach this world, no seas are safe." Vivian said.
"Very well. I will consider your offer." Tao Wu said. "You may find Hun Dun and Qiong Ji more reasonable to deal with, but they are still very powerful. Watch your words with them."
"Understood." Esmeralda said.
Hitting Water Devil Den number 3, they soon come across a large humanoid figure.
"Whoa… And I thought I was packed with muscles, but… This guy beats even me." Rayleigh said.
"Hmm… Ah. Humanoids. It is rare to see them wander in here." the beast spoke. "I am Qiong Ji. I have spent my days here, regaining my strength."
"Do you have one of those treasures that can get us to Daemonia?" Zamazenta asked.
"Yes. I have the Zhushui Charm." Qiong Ji said. "However, this artifact is very precious to me. I can lend it to you if you swear you return it once you are finished."
"Actually, there is something else we want to ask of you. You are aware of the situation in Wano, yes?" Cheetah asked.
"Indeed. The one known as Kaido is soon to make his move. And his forces grow very restless. The time for the inevitable day of reckoning is nigh." Qiong Ji said. "A shame you have already slain Tao Tie. I doubt you would've ensured his cooperation."
"If you are to join us in our campaign, will that suffice for us to take the Zhushui Charm?" Glacius asked.
"Before I can make that decision, I wish to ascertain whether you can be relied on. Draw your weapons." Qiong Ji said.
"Weapons? Are we gonna have to fight?" Zenji asked.
"Let it begin!" Qiong Ji said. "I shall judge your worth."
The group has engaged in battle with the hulking muscle, eventually being victorious over him.
"I am…impressed." Qiong Ji said. "Very well… I shall lend you the Zhushui Charm and my power. May you make good use of both in your service."
"That means there is only one left. That Hun Dun guy." Captain Cold said.
"He may be one of us, but he is very impressionable. I am certain you will barely have any trouble getting him to your side." Qiong Ji said.
"Thank you. We'll see you around, then." Luke said.
The group made their way to the final Water Devil Den, where they soon see a three-legged creature with a blue-ish body.
"Are you…Hun Dun?" Glacius asked.
"That's right! Although, you've already met the other three Chaos Lords, so by process of elimination, you had to know it's me." Hun Dun said.
"He sounds so…cheerful. Almost like Ishihara, in a way." Cheetah said. "I kind of envy this feeling. Anyway, there is something we want from you."
"The…Qikong Rosary, right? Sure, you can have it!" Hun Dun said.
"Well, that was easier than we expected." Nesma said. "Maybe we should leave this one alone."
"Hold up, hold up, hold up!" Hun Dun said. "You are going to fight against Kaido soon, right?"
"Uh… Yeah, we are. Well, kind of." Glacius said.
"In that case, you should take me with you. I may not look it, but I'm a tough nut to crack." Hun Dun said. "I can demonstrate it to you, if you want."
"Perhaps this could work after all. Very well, show us your strength." Cheetah said.
"Yippee! Come on, let's fight! Hope you're ready!" Hun Dun said.
The group fought against the cheerful and energetic Hun Dun, soon claiming victory over the Chaos Lord.
"Wow! You guys are really strong!" Hun Dun said. "Okie-dokie! You can count on me to help you guys out when things get dicey over there! See you then!"
"That thing was way too energetic for my liking." Rayleigh said.
"Even moreso than Ishihara, but… It's still quite a sight to see." Cheetah said. "Now then, we have all four treasures. Let's bring them back to the merchant."
The group returns to the Burning Realm to present the items to Blue.
"Excellent. You have all done a fine job claiming these. I will prepare a route to Daemonia immediately. Please take this time to rest. I am sure you all would need it." Blue said.
"After all those fights we had… Yes, we definitely do." Esmeralda said.
