A story about coming together by being apart, about memory and meaning, and about when to shut up.

Hi! Thank you for start reading this, please take it easy on me. English is not my first language and this is my very first fanfic. I'm open to suggestions in order to improve my storytelling. I do try to be very centered on the main story just adding one or more tweaks of mine in the middle. This is my Tabris playthrough in DAO, which I consider my canon one.

AU DAI. It is 9:37, and the Circles have voted for independence. Anders has struck the first blow in Kirkwall and is now commanding the mages at Andoral's Reach. Knight Commander Rylock fights to defend the Circle of Haven, including her mage parents and mage daughter, from Red Templars. Rillian Tabris and Alistair seek to cure taint, and Lambert Hawke and Fenris fight Venatori.

Inana Lavellan can't see most things - not in the waking world, anyway. The Fade is another matter, shining like a beacon just beyond the Veil. Imagine her surprise when a "spirit" she has known in the Fade since childhood appears in the waking world as a man calling himself Solas.

Mina Hawke's arrival in Kirkwall brought Varric all the excitement and fame and fortune he was looking for ... and a few things he hadn't expected. The other story Varric could never tell.

His ill-advised action will hurt both men, perhaps irreparably.

He once came charging to her rescue, like a gallant knight, saving her from certain death. And now, after all the heartaches and lies, she prays he can save her again. Just a bit of dribbling, angst-filled sappiness that's been rattling around in my brainpan since playing DA: Inquisition. Feeling the need to write a Cullen-knight-in-shining-armor fic. Some smut later on.

I am adopting this story and continuing where my brother left off when he died of covid last year. Please forgive any lack in quality, this is my first attempt at writing. Reviews are appreciated, I want to know what everytone think and what I could stand to improve on.
