Chapter One: Missing People
"Of course the one time we get free pizza is when your mom is treating us." Benny says as Alexis is with him and Ethan at Ethan's house.
"At least we're getting pizza. Just relax." Alexis says.
"The guy still has two minutes and 49 seconds." Ethan says as he looks at the clock.
"Pfft! Zero chance in that rust bucket. Which reminds me limo or jet pack?" Benny asks.
"What?" Ethan asks.
"Our ride to the Fly Off to the Mann dance. You know my pick but do you think the chicks will dig a stretch?" Benny asks.
"What chicks? The only girls who ever talk to either of us is Sarah, Erica and Alexis." Benny asks.
"Jet pack it is." Benny says.
"I don't know. I think limo would be a more popular and traditional approach. But I'm down with anything." Alexis says as she smiles.
"You got a date yet?" Ethan asks.
"No but hoping someone will ask me though." Alexis says as she smiles at Benny.
"Well I think I'm out." Ethan says.
"What? We've gotta go. Party. Possible chicks. Jet packs." Benny says.
"I don't know. Ever since we dug up the Cubile Animus... and Sarah gut possessed and trashed the house... I've kind of felt like laying low." Ethan says.
You can lay low when you're dead. These are the best years of our lives." Benny says.
"Really?" Ethan asks.
"I really hope not." Benny says as Alexis shakes her head.
"Add another name to the Whitechapel's list of missing persons. Who is it? Stand by." The news person on the TV says as Alexis turns the TV on.
"That doesn't sound good." Alexis says.
"Missing persons? How about my missing pizza. I'm calling it in." Benny says as he takes out his phone.
"Is that pizza the only thing on your mind right now?" Alexis asks as she looks at Benny.
"Yeah. I'm starving." Benny says as Alexis sighs and looks away.
*Timeskip*
"So are you planning on going with anyone to the dance Alexis?" Erica asks as she is walking with Alexis and Sarah down the school hallway.
"Yeah but don't think I'm gonna be having a date though." Alexis says.
"What about that picture you showed us of that dress? Thought you'd wanna show it off to someone... or a particular geek anyway." Sarah says as Alexis looks at her.
"Trust me if I could I would but someone is being oblivious to hints." Alexis says with slight annoyance.
"Surprising considering he goes out of his way to flirt with girls." Erica says.
"Tell me about it. When he flirts with girls he is all over the place but when a girl is trying to get his attention apparently it goes through one ear and out the other. I swear boys are so oblivious sometimes." Alexis says.
"Ain't that the truth sister." Erica says.
"Anyway Erica I can't believe you have a date for the dance. I thought you were done with boys from our school." Sarah says.
"Who says he's from our school?" Erica asks.
"Why can't we just go out and do something fun? Like those girls." Sarah says as some girls walk by.
"They told me they were going to the beach... for some sun. That sound like fun to you?" Erica asks.
"Fine. Forget I mentioned it." Sarah says.
"Well hello Sarah. You ladies going to the dance tomorrow?" Benny asks.
"Not with you dorks. I'm off to the zoo. It's feeding time." Erica says as she walks off.
"Yeah. I'm out too. Got some things I wanna think about for now." Alexis says as she walks off.
