Chapter One: Dates
"Some villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away. It predates the Golden Age and must be hundreds of years old. Although the venom in the fangs of the Fangpyre genetically mutate human cells into reptilian." Nya says as she takes the cover off a skeleton on the table as the group is gathered around.
"Nya and I learned there could be a way to stop the effects without having to create an antivenom." Alexis says.
"If one is able to wildly raise their heart rate hypothetically it could reverse the venom's effects." Nya says.
"Resulting in...diminished uh is someone wearing perfume?" Alexis asks as she sniffs the air before the boys laugh except for Jay.
"Ah looks like class is over. Time to start stomping some Serpentine before they find any Fangblades." Cole says.
"Sounds like a plan." Kai says.
"I'm excited to join." Zane says as he, Cole, Kai and Nya leave.
"I'm guessing you were the one wearing the perfume?" Alexis asks as she looks at Jay.
"Yeah. Sorry about that. The reason I was- you know- I went to Kai because- look. What I'm trying to say is-" Jay then gets cut off by Alexis.
"I know. Cruel joke on teammates. I get it. It's fine. I actually enjoy the smell but just tell Kai to be mindful of his sister's allergies." Alexis says.
"No, no, no, no. I was trying to impress you. Before Sensei left he said our heart was the key to unlocking our True Potential." Jay says.
"Impress me? But I'm so..." Alexis says.
"Amazing and beautiful." Jay says as Alexis blushes.
"Really?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Really. Look maybe if you'll let me I can take you to some big fancy restaurant. You don't have to if you don't want to..." Jay says nervously.
"You mean like a date?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Um yeah?" Jay asks.
"You'd really wanna go on a date with me?" Alexis asks in surprise.
"Of course." Jay says as he smiles.
"I'd love that. It sounds nice. I'll see you later tonight." Alexis says as she smiles at Jay before leaving.
*Timeskip*
"Alexis you look beautiful. Jay is gonna love your outfit." Nya says as she comes into Alexis's room in her samurai suit.
"Thanks Nya. So I'm guessing you haven't told them you're the samurai yet?" Alexis asks curiously.
"You mean much like how you're the white wolf who's been stopping crimes all over town like I have?" Nya asks.
"Fair point. Usual agreement?" Alexis asks.
"You keep my secret and I keep yours?" Nya asks as Alexis nods.
"Yep." Alexis says before she and Nya hear knocking at the door.
"Uh Alexis you there?" A voice asks revealing to be Jay as he tries to come in only for Alexis to shut the door.
"Don't come in! I'm getting ready." Alexis says as Nya quickly hides behind Alexis's bed.
"Well um- I just wanna talk to you about our date. You know I'm hearing really bad reviews for the restaurant and I just..." Jay says as alexis sees Nya pull up a map on her bracelet.
"What is it?" Alexis asks quietly as she looks at the map.
"Serpentine." Nya says quietly.
"Serpentine?" Alexis asks.
"They've been spotted at Mega Monster Amusement Park." Nya says quietly.
"You know I think we should cancel." Jay says as alexis opens the door while Nya continues to hide.
"You wanna cancel the date?" Alexis asks.
"No, no. I just wanted to know if you would rather go to the Mega Monster Amusement Park instead." Jay says.
"Sounds great. Um... but aren't you a little overdressed?" Alexis asks as she notices Jay's outfit.
"Well yeah. Of course I need to change." Jay says.
"No. It's okay. I think what you're wearing is fine. Why don't we get going?" Alexis asks nervously as she leaves with Jay.
