welcome to the list of the characters in my newest 'Fruits Basket' fanfiction with a storyline slightly similar to that of the 'Cinderella' story. I know that you might argue that 'Cinderella-ish' or 'Sorta Cinderella' or whatever that stupidly miscast trainwreck of a play production from the actual 'Fruits Basket' series was supposed to be called, but I personally think that this fanfiction will do a much better job at in keeping with the true plotline of the real story and still respect the cast's personalities. anyway, this list of the fanfiction's characters is one-thousand-one-hundred-eighty-eight words worth of pure storyline, and no, that doesn't include this headnote by yours truly, right here, or the mandatory disclaimer that makes up the following paragraph. yes, I know I said that disclaimers are mandatory, and you know something else? I believe myself when I call them mandatory. personally, I type up the disclaimers just to avoid copyright claim and infringement. OK, enough ranting about it. on with my disclaimer...

disclamation: I do not own the series of 'Fruits Basket' in any way, shape, or form... other than owning copies of the manga series and its sequel, 'Fruits Basket Another' and the 2019 anime series of 'Fruits Basket' on Bluray and DVD. the first two seasons of that series, that is. in terms of owning the production of the 'Fruits Basket' series, however, I'm afraid that those ownership rights are reserved solely for Natsuki Takaya-san and the folks of TV Tokyo in Japan. meanwhile in the US of A, the folks of the FUNimation Anime Company are the ones for whom the ownership rights to the English version of both animes are reserved.

Tohru Honda as the story's 'Cinderella' character and the heroine of this 'Cinderella' story

Kyo Sohma as the Prince's royally rebellious cousin, who secretly and endlessly, yet non-admittingly pines for his best friend, Tohru Honda, who is the 'Cinderella' character in this story of 'Cinderella'

Saki Hanajima as the Fairy Godsister, who gives the 'Cinderella' character of this fairy tale parody of a fanfiction her ballgown and glass slippers to meet the prince

Motoko Minagawa as the leading Evil Foster Sister's character, who oppresses the poor 'Cinderella' character into a life of servitude by having tricked her parents into taking her and her equally awful friends in when they were alive

Rika Aida, Minami Kinoshita, Mai Iwata, Mio Yamagishi and Chie Gotou as the Evil Foster Sisters, who live to make the 'Cinderella' character's life in her own house a miserable one upon tricking Tohru's poor, unsuspecting parents into adopting them all lead by Motoko Minagawa

Arisa Uotani as the Kindly Sorceress, who watches over, guards and protects all of the fairytales' happy endings, but is taking a much-needed vacation during this story

Hiroshi Kibayoshi and Yusuke Fukushima, The Kindly Sorceress's two screw-ups of assistants, who she probably should never have hired in the first place while she is on her well-deserved and much-needed vacation

Yuki Sohma as the Surprisingly All-Take-and-No-Give, Too-Cool-to-Hang-Out-with-His-Own-Cousin Prince of the kingdom in which Tohru and her foster family live who actually holds too much emotional baggage of his own to really qualify as a true prince

Momiji Sohma as a relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is pretty innocent and child-like for his own age, even by his looks alone, but is still far too forward with the girls

Kagura Sohma as a female relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who stalks Kyo Sohma like a peel on a fruit

Hatsuharu 'Haru' Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is one of the only familial friends the most important prince of the Sohmas has

Isuzu 'Rin' Sohma as another female relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who only visits and acknowledges the prince because she's Hatsuharu's girlfriend among their joint family

Hatori Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who acts as his own family's personal doctor but struggles quite a bit with the pain of a broken heart, he is also perhaps (one of) Kyo's only familial friends within the palace

Shigure Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is a novelist but does not act mature enough to be an actual member of society and never seems to learn his lesson about obviously needing to take his work life more seriously and always seems to make the same mistakes over and over and over again just for the fun of it

Ayame Sohma as Prince Yuki Sohma's elder brother who had once snuffed out his pleas for help from their abusive mother but now regrets being his mother's accomplice simply through in-action alone and wishes that he had done more to help the young Yuki Sohma along the way sooner than he has at the time

Ritsu Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is rather panicky yet looks up to the self-confidence of Yuki's elder brother, Ayame, not realizing that his dreams of becoming just like the pure white-haired man are so far out of this man's reach though not through any fault of Ritsu's

Hiro Sohma as a relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is direct cousins with the prince's orange-haired relative, Kyo, and even acts just like his direct cousin, Kyo's, mini-me since he is almost as temperamental as the orange-haired one in question but still has a softer side which the little boy only expresses towards who is perhaps the only member of his extended family who he truly likes, a little girl by the name of Kisa

Kisa Sohma as another female relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who starts out slightly on the shy side but had recently come out of her shell with a little support from Tohru Honda, the girl that her rebellious orange-haired male relative, Kyo Sohma, loves more than he could have ever loved any other girl on the face of the Earth which Kisa sees about Kyo very clearly and is the perhaps the only female relative of both the rebellious orange-haired one and the silver-haired shadow of a princely image who is a true friend to Kyo Sohma

Kureno Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who is also direct cousins with his orange-haired relative, Kyo, and young Hiro, along with being perhaps one of the only relatives amongst the Sohma Family who is surprisingly supportive of Kyo's own pursuit after the heart of the girl of his dreams through the story's heroine, Tohru, and is one of the orange-haired Sohma boy's only true familial friends, along with Hatori and Kisa Sohma

Kazuma Sohma as another relative of Prince Yuki Sohma who had raised Kyo, himself, after the poor kid's mother had died from an oncoming train when her own son was four or five and the boy's father had up and disowned his only son, Kazuma also serves as the family's martial arts instructor and taught many of his child relatives the fighting style, including Kagura, Hatsuharu, Prince Yuki, himself, and even his own foster son, Kyo, and is also incredibly supportive of Kyo liking the girl known to their family as Tohru Honda the way he does

Kunimitsu Tomoda as Kazuma Sohma's most devoted student, next to Kyo Sohma, himself, and his personal assistant who is a lot like an older brother-figure to the orange-haired young man in question and even shares things about the guy with Tohru Honda that in retrospect are a little embarrassing and he probably should not even say, since it could most likely do so much as to the ruin any one of Kyo Sohma's chances at true love with the girl of his dreams but is still supportive of the way that he feels about Tohru Honda, nonetheless

Machi Kuragi as Prince Yuki Sohma's real true love, who comes into his life as a guardswoman for the royal treasury and even leads a similar familial life resembling that of the prince, himself, with an oppressive mother and an unloving father who had up and kicked her out of their house just because of extenuating circumstances and their own insane logic towards just what she was doing at the time

Kakeru Manabe as Prince Yuki Sohma's first real friend outside of his family who introduces the Prince to the royal treasury's guardswoman who becomes his real soul mate, as the Prince's first ever real friend is the elder half-brother of the royal treasury's guardswoman, Kakeru Manabe is their father's eldest but was only the son of their father's mistress/concubine while Machi Kuragi was the first-born child of their father's legal wife except was a year younger and a girl, the fighting of which between the two half-siblings' mothers finally ended when Machi's own mother bore a son and her parents basically turned their backs on poor Machi
