The Great Plateau's weather was all so hot, but however, the wind's breeze was as calm, promising a cool breeze. Link was laying on the grass in the shade of the tree, blocking the sunlight as his muscles were relaxing and calm without any issues or pain and watching the skies. His head laid against his arms and hands, using them as a pillow. Princess Zelda sat beside him, tenderly touching one of the pink flowers, and smiling.
Link exhaled his breath, viewing this beautiful sunlight. Zelda turned to him in question. "Link? Are you alright?"
The hero turned his head to the princess, smiling. "Yeah, princess…" he responded, turning his head back at the blocked sunlight "just seeing how beautiful this day is out in the plateau."
"Yes…" Zelda agreed in a breath of a sigh, smiling "it quite is, indeed."
Link then sighed in a bored way, making his lover look at him, concerningly.
"Are you alright?" Zelda asked him.
"We should do something." Link suggested.
Zelda sighed tiredly, not knowing what her and her lover will do on this day. "Like what?" She questioned.
"I don't know…" Link replied "have a cookout, hunting for Silent Princess's to look at, play around,-"
"We are not children anymore." The princess sassingly denied.
"Oh, come on!" Link said, in a expression of complaint with a smile "We are not that immature, or we're not all childish to play around. They are many couples that can play around. And I thought we can play for a bit!"
"I told you!" Zelda said in refusal "We are not kids anymore! We are grown beings and are a bit old for playtimes!"
"Come on!" Link said, sitting up "It won't be that bad! Where's your sense of fun, huh?"
Zelda was going to say something, but stopped after she was asked if she had the sense of fun. Then, she put on an evil smirk, forming an idea.
"Uhh… Z-Zelda?" Link curiously asked after seeing the princess' face "Wha-?
"Sense of fun, huh?" The girl questioned him in an evil tone, making Link nervous and shaking.
"Y-Yeah?" The hero responded quiveringly.
"Oh really?" Zelda said smugly, scooting closer to her lover with a smirk. "You want fun? Oh, I'll give you fun."
"Wait, what?" Link asked her. But without response, Zelda began to tickle Link's upper ribcage, trying to make him laugh.
"Wait!" Link begged, trying not to laugh, but failed as he letted it all out "ZELDAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"
Zelda giggles hard as she continues to tickle Link, trying to show off her sense of fun.
"ZELDAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" The hero pleaded, but laughed so hard, he cried "STOP IIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!! I CAN'T BREATHEEEEEEEE!!!!! STOP IT PLEEEEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEEEEEEEASE!!!!"
Zelda finally stopped the fun, little torture she put on Link. The princess laughed, while Link calmed his laughter down and wiped his tears away from the giggle. He looked at her, panting as the princess turned to him, smiling.
"What was that for?" Link asked her.
"You said "Where's your sense of fun?" So I decided to show it off." Zelda replied smugly, and giggled.
Link started to smile and chuckled. "I gotta say, that sense of fun was kinda… well, fun!" He said.
The princess letted out a giggle. "I'm glad you think so, Link." She said.
Link chuckled, and the two began their playtime. They tickled each other, played tag, hide and seek, and having the time of their lives. It lasted for a few minutes or hours of their playtime out in the pains of the Great Plateau, despite the hot weather, but the wind was blowing calmly. (Though, Zelda's father wouldn't even mind having his daughter have a good time with her knight as he knew she was grown and fell in love with Link.)

Hours later until sunset, both Link and Zelda rested on the soft grass into the shade of the tree, both gazing at the beautiful, orange and pink skies of the ending of the day. Link had his left arm around Zelda, keeping her close and resting his hand on her head.
"Well, that was fun." Link said.
"Yeah…" Zelda breathed calmly "it was."
Link sighs and looks at the princess with the smile, seeing her face. The glow on her face from the sunlight is as beautiful as if she is an angel. They both looked each other into their eyes.
"Zelda?" Link began asking.
"Yes?" The princess responded.
Link sighed and whispered "You're beautiful…"
Zelda blushed at his words and looked away, embarrassed, and didn't respond.
"Zelda?" Link curiously questioned, wondering if his princess was upset or embarrassed.
"Oh, stop it Link!" Zelda requested in an embarrassing way.
Link smiled, and said "What? You're beautiful…"
"Ho, boy…" the princess sighed.
The knight chuckled. Zelda turned to him, smirking, then chuckled. Link groaned, scooting up against the tree to get more comfortable as he sat. The princess looked at him with a smile, scooting close to him. She wrapped her arms around Link and rested her face against his chest. Zelda sighs, thinking of what to say.
"Link?" She asked her lover "Do you think... Daruk, Mipha, Urbosa and Revali-?"
"I'm sure they are doing fine with everything having to do with the warriors after a long Calamity war." Link assured, and chuckled "They are just healing them and letting them rest. Your father and us are doing the same thing. Our warriors are well healed and rested, regaining their strengths. We can rest for our free time as regaining our strengths after the war."
Zelda looked up at him, raised a brow and smirked. "Rested? We were just playing outside earlier, using up our strengths." She said in a teasing way "You think we rested by playing around in the heat?"
"Hey!" Link said with a smug "We were laying in the grass before and afterwards! That would catch our strengths reeeeeal well!"
"Oh, Link…" The princess sighed out in irritation.
Link chuckled, which made Zelda chuckle as well. The two laughed, and shared a 10 second kiss. They withdrew the kiss, looking at each other into their eyes, smiling. Zelda placed her head back on Link's chest, smiling warmly.
"I love you, Link." She said softly "Just remember that."
Link chuckled, and answered "I love you, too, Zelda. And I always will, my princess."
Zelda sighs warmly with a smile, hugging Link close. She closed her eyes, getting close to him. Link chuckled and placed his hand on his princess's head, keeping her close to him. He plants a kiss on her head, and resting his head on hers. Zelda listened to her lover's calming breathing that is processing of putting her to sleep. She smiled, and drew close to him.
Link sighed, smiled and looked at the view of Hyrule Castle far from the plateau with Zelda by his side and feeling the breeze kick in softly and calmly, thinking about what fun they had. The wind breezed softly as the lovers rest for a bit before heading back home at the castle.

I have written this fanfic ever since playing Age of Calamity, which I have not beaten yet, and I restarted BOTW because I made no progress lol
I have been playing Cuphead a lot (Threatenin' Zeppelin was the level I'm trying to beat, which is giving me a hard time :p) Season 2 of the Cuphead Show will be exciting, and I'll be ready ;) there will be more Cuphead fanart :)
And what's funny? I never got to see the Zelda show in the 90's (or 80's I believe /) in real time (I only watched parts lol).
