Just to warn you, there is trigger warning here.
Mitsuki wiped the sweat off her forehead as she finished setting her computer up. She took out the small orb from her pocket and placed it in the small indentation. "Armillary Spheres sure are convenient." she mused.
Her computer whirred to life. She typed in her log-in details and began fixing the settings of her computer. Her computer was specially made. The R&D Department of the Blacklight Organization was filled with geniuses with centuries of experience in magic and decades of experience in modern technology. Her computer was the perfect mix of magic and technology. She opened a program and began typing until a feed popped up on her screen.
"You've finally called," Taki said. He was drinking a bottle of sake in his office.
Mitsuki shook her head in exasperation. Her grandfather was always drinking something. She didn't remember a time when he didn't drink and despite that, the alcohol didn't even phase him or his internal organs.
"Yeah, I had to explain everything on that paper. I had to unpack. I had to move in. I talked to Issei… You know, typical things you do when you move to a new town or even move back," Mitsuki said, waving her hand around.
"Thanks for buying back our old house by the way. Being neighbors with Aniki again is
"So you had a pretty busy day huh? I had a busy day trying to explain to your parents why you weren't home. I told them I sent you to Kuoh and you can imagine how your Mom reacted," Taki said.
"I'm sure Mom kicked your ass through your office," she replied.
"So, anything to report?" he said.
"Right, so let's begin this report. I arrived here at around 1200 and made contact at around 1245. The people I made contact with were the Sitri Heiress, Sona Sitri, and her Queen, Tsubaki Shinra. After meeting with the Sitri Peerage, I was transferred into the target's class. The target… The target's in bad shape. It seems that absorbing the Dividing Gear is taking a toll on his body. But… there's something off," Mitsuki said.
"Something off?" Taki raised an eyebrow at her last statement.
"It's a gem from the Divine Dividing but… his entire body is saturated in twisted Holy Power," she said.
Issei wished Rias didn't modify his house. He was fine with the two story modest home he had lived in before. Living in such a massive space was tiring. Memorizing where all the rooms were was a hassle and going from the first to sixth floors was a chore. And he didn't even want to fathom how long it would take to clean such a place. It was too blue blooded for a commoner like him.
"So Mii-chan is a Devil, huh? I guess I could sense something off about her," Issei said. "But I was too busy reuniting with her to even notice. Do you think Asia and Xenovia noticed? Is that why they tried to pull me away from her, Ddraig?"
[There are too many variables here that we don't know. For all we know, she could be someone from the Underworld that was sent to monitor your King and the other Devil Heiress. Or she could be a rogue Devil sent by Vali Lucifer or someone from Khaos Brigade that was sent to spy on us. Whatever she is, I'd be careful in trusting her.] Ddraig said.
"Don't trust her? Ddraig, she's my sister. Why wouldn't I trust her? Besides, isn't it good that she's a devil? That means we can hang out more," Issei said, brushing his concerns away.
Ddraig said nothing. He remained silent inside Issei's arm.
"I wonder what time dinner is. I'm getting really hungry-"
Issei felt a shooting pain in his skull. He fell to his knees, gripping the sides of his head.
[Partner! Partner! What's wrong?] Ddraig yelled.
Issei's vision began to swim. The room twisted and swirled like a whirlpool. He felt the symptoms of vertigo starting to set in. He felt nauseous and felt the need to vomit profusely on the floor. In his pain-induced haze, Issei began to see something in his room. Or what was his room. Wherever he was, whatever horrifying encounter he was about to experience, Issei knew he was no longer in his room.
His ceiling was fragmented and the skies were a pitch black infinite abyss. Massive shards of glass of unknown origin floated in the skies, showing twisted reflections of what Issei assumed were either dreams or memories. He could faintly hear Ddraig's voice calling out to him somewhere in the distance but wherever he was, Issei could neither feel or see him.
"Ddraig?" Issei called out, wishing for Ddraig to come to him from wherever he was. "Ddraig! I don't like this!"
Issei tried to walk but stumbled. Instead, he opted to crawl forward weakly. Each move he made only served to worsen the pain he was in. He winced and looked down at his hand. Palpable and observable black veins began to cross across his skin. The veins pulsed and the sensation of them thumping underneath his flesh made him want to vomit even more. The mere feeling made him sick to his very core.
"Guys? Where are you?" Issei called out deliriously.
"Ise…"
Issei's eyes widened at the sound of the voice. He slowly turned his head and saw a familiar person's skull mounted on a metal pike. He gasped and backpedaled into the wall as more and more voices called out for him.
Rias's head was mounted on a pike. Her eyes were sewn shut and blood trickled down her sewn eyes. Despite no longer having her larynx and pharynx completely intact, Rias still retained the ability to speak somehow. Her mouth moved over and over, trying to convey words in her sickeningly sweet and haunting voice.
Issei could do nothing but look in horror at the disgusting mutilated form of Rias.
"Ise, please. Save us. It hurts, Ise. It hurts!" she begged. Tears of blood flowed freely from her eyes at an even harder rate.
"Ise!"
"Issei-san!"
"Senpai!"
Issei looked up at the meathooks that were ominously hanging from the skies.
Asia was hung, arms and legs spread. Her clothes were torn, revealing multiple lacerations across what remained of her flesh. Her back was torn open, skin spread out like a pair of leathery wings. He could see her ribs jutting out from her back and hear her weak breaths as she struggled to take air into her severed lungs. And in some sick twisted manner, she was still alive, weakly begging him to help her.
Koneko was in a similarly horrid position. Her body was twisted in an almost impossible and inconceivable manner. The top half and bottom half of her bodies were facing in opposite directions, spine snapped in two. Her legs were spread wider than they were meant to be, thighs and knees making contact with her sides. Her arms were spread out and remained the only things to be relatively normal.
Akeno was crucified on a floating cross. Rusted thick nails were driven through her hands and feet. Her legs were broken with her tibia sticking out both her legs. Her ulna and radius stuck out of her forearms. Her abdomen had multiple cuts and was disemboweled. Her intestines spilled out and hung loosely, exposed to the elements. Small critters ranging from rats to centipedes crawled in and out of her open wounds and her orifices. She opened her mouth to beg for Issei's help when an oversized maggot slithered out of her mouth and wiggled its way into another wound.
"This isn't real! This isn't real! This isn't real!" Issei begged.
The girls kept calling out to him, asking him to save them. And soon, their warped cries morphed into demonic spouts of rage.
"You useless pawn! Do something!"
"I can't believe I trusted you, Ise-san!"
"Worthless piece of garbage!"
"You're so worthless, Ise-kun."
"Ahhhhhhh!" Issei screamed.
"But you can redeem yourself, Ise-kun~!" Rias said cheerfully.
"H- Huh?" Issei lifted his head and stared at Rias's skull. Her head was worse than it was before. One of her eyes had fallen out, still attached to the optical nerve. Her lower jaw had been torn off, leaving nothing but the top half. Yet her gagging noises became clear-cut speech.
"Take Ascalon and use it to join us. If you can't save us, at least keep us company," Rias cooed.
"W- What?" Issei stuttered.
"Use Ascalon and use it to join us. Please, you owe us this much, Ise-san," Asia pressed.
"Senpai has to join us. No one is waiting for you, Senpai. All you have is us," Koneko added.
"That's right, Ise-kun. Who's going to care about someone as useless as you? Raynare used you because you're so stupid. Asia died because you were incompetent and Rias lost because you were so weak. But at least, you have us. We care about you," Akeno said in a sweet manner.
"So Ise dear, please take Ascalon and use it to join us," Rias said.
Issei nodded mutely. His eyes were losing their light. His sanity had taken a beating and his will and pride had dwindled to nearly nothing. The pain and the haze, coupled with the whispers in his head, had finally claimed him and swallowed him in the darkness.
[Blade]
Ascalon manifested in Issei's hands. The moment he touched it, his hands sizzled and burned yet the burning did not faze him in the slightest.
[Partner! Partner, are you there?] Ddraig asked.
"I have join them…" Issei said mindlessly.
[Oi, partner! What are you doing!?] Ddraig yelled in alarm, seeing that Issei had raised Ascalon to his throat.
Yuuto hated how big Issei's house had become. He had lived with Rias for years and he had gotten somewhat used to her lavish, extravagant lifestyle. However, she should never have had any say when it came to renovating Issei's house. Traversing the entirety of the complex was a hassle and everything had been rearranged.
He had a rough idea of where Issei's bedroom was and after failing a few times, he arrived at the right place. Issei's demonic energy emanated faintly from that room. As he moved to open the door to inform Issei that dinner was ready, Yuuto heard something that made his heart drop from his chest to his stomach.
[Blade]
[Oi! Partner, what are you doing!?] he heard Ddraig yell.
[Issei! Lower the blade! Don't do it!]
Yuuto couldn't take it anymore. He kicked the door open and his eyes widened in horror when he saw Issei about to stab Ascalon through his throat. He wasted no time and tackled Issei to the floor, wrestling with him and pinning his arms to the ground.
"Ise! Ise, snap out of it!" Yuuto yelled.
"C- Casanova?" Issei asked. "Yuuto! They're dead! Buchou! Akeno-senpai! Koneko-chan! Asia-chan! They're all dead! Can't you see it? They're asking me to join them! So let me go!" Issei yelled with an insane gleam in his eyes.
"D- Damnit! He's powering up! SOMEONE HELP! AKENO! ASIA!" Yuuto screamed, struggling to keep Issei pinned.
Akeno came running into the room to see Yuuto, pinning Issei's arms over his head. Issei was thrashing underneath the Knight, attempting to reach for Ascalon. Her hand flew to her mouth when she saw the pronounced black veins pulsating across Issei's body.
"Akeno! Knock him out! He just tried to stab himself with Ascalon!" Yuuto ordered.
"R- Right!" Akeno ran over and cast a sleeping spell on Issei. The magic circle shattered into dust and landed on Issei's face.
Issei's thrashing weakened and lessened until he fell limp underneath Yuuto.
The blonde boy sighed in relief and got off Issei, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
Akeno stood there, shellshocked at what just happened. She knelt next to Issei and took his head. She placed his head on her lap and stroked his hair softly. "Ise-kun, what's happening to you?"
"We… We need to tell Buchou," Yuuto said.
"We'll have to wait. Rias is in a meeting right now with Sona and Azazel. They can be there for hours!" Akeno said.
"Well, try to get in contact with her. We need to get Issei to the Underworld. Fast," Yuuto said.
Akeno nodded.
Mitsuki stopped outside of what appeared to be a pub. She looked down at the piece of paper in her hand and then at the sign. "A dive bar? Seriously?" she mused. Her eyes drifted over to the delinquents and punks that liked to frequent the place. She felt like she was looking at a scene straight out of a manhwa.
Mitsuki shrugged and opened the door, walking inside. Her eyes scanned the rowdy group of customers and patrons until she saw what she had come here for.
There were two people waiting for her. One was an older man with silver hair and hazel eyes that looked almost like a sulfuric yellow. He wore a black one-piece suit with no tie. He had scraggly hair and a long beard. He was sipping a bottle of beer and laughing hysterically.
The other man was a handsome man that looked to be in his early to late 20s with black hair that faded into blonde at the bangs. He had a small beard that was not as pronounced as the other man He wore a high-collared maroon long coat that parted at the chest. He wore grey slacks and brown shoes.
The one thing Mitsuki knew set these two apart from the others was the sheer power they possessed. She flipped her hood on and began walking over to them.
"Ohohoho! Our guest is here!"
"I can see that, Azazel," the silver-haired man said.
"Aw, don't be such a downer, Rizevim," Azazel said.
Rizevim smiled and motioned for another bottle of beer to be ordered.
Mitsuki sat down and eyed the two.
Of the two, Rizevim was the one who would give her the information she needed to perform her job. Rizevim Livan Lucifer was the son of Satan Lucifer and the grandson of Lucifer herself. He was one of the three Super Devils and the former Prince of the Underworld. The man before her was known to have played a few "pranks" as her grandfather recalled. Those pranks often resulted in some global event such as the Hindenberg or the Titanic. To call him evil would be wrong but to call him good would be wrong as well. The man just lived to troll others.
"I'm guessing you're Rizevim?" Mitsuki asked.
"No, I'm Satan," he replied.
Azazel took a sip of his beer before placing it down. He saw the irritated look on the kid's face and stepped in. "Ey, Rizevim. I think she's here for the case," Azazel said.
"What? Oh, right. The case. Which case are you here for again?" Rizevim asked.
"E- Excuse me!?" Mitsuki was about to get up and slam her hands on the table when Rizevim burst out laughing.
"I'm just joking, Old Man. Jeez, calm down," Rizevim said. He held his hand out in the air and a folder filled with papers manifested in his hand. Rizevim put the folder down and slid it to Mitsuki.
Mitsuki took the folder and opened it. She began carefully inspecting the papers by skimming through them. "Are these accurate?" she asked.
"You're asking me of all people if these are accurate?" Rizevim asked.
"Just answer the question," Mitsuki said.
"I might as well give you a rundown since you seem to be too lazy to read a hundred-page document," he said, sighing.
"During the Three Factions Peace Summit, the terrorist organization known as Khaos Brigade infiltrated Kuoh and attacked it-"
"Everyone and their mother knows that. Tell me about Serpent's Seed," Mitsuki said.
"So you know about it?" Rizevim asked.
"Only a little bit. The first time I heard of it was when Grandpa decided to send me of all people here but that can't be helped. Dad and Mom are too busy to come here themselves and Aunt Sae is too busy working a case regarding a disappearance in Osaka. So, now, tell me. What is Serpent's Seed?" Mitsuki asked.
"I need to tell you about the background before I give you report. Just take a chill pill and let's do this one step at a time," Rizevim said, raising his hands. "So… as you and everyone else's mom knows, Khaos Brigade launched an attack on the Three Factions Summit resulting in the death of Katarea Leviathan at the hands of herself and the defection of Vali Lucifer to said terrorist organization. However, what you don't and the others realize was that there was a third party involved and that folder has proof of their involvement. Of course, this is completely covert. Only the Old Man here knows about this. Michael and Sirzechs have yet to find out about this… not that Sirzechs knows since he's so young but Michael would immediately hole up Heaven if he found out."
"That doesn't give me much to go on," she said.
"Look, kid. The rest is in that document right there including a list of members who might be involved here in the incidents that have happened in Kuoh Town," Rizevim said, summoning a cigarette.
"Events?" she asked.
"Yup. Every major event that happened in this town since before Kokabiel invaded. However, all of those events span the length of about a month or two," Rizevim answered.
"Like?" Mitsuki asked.
"The reincarnation and subsequent awakening of the Sekiryuutei," he replied.
"W- What? They were involved in that too?" she said.
"From what I was able to gather, yes," he said.
"Cost me a few people but I'm over it," Azazel added.
Mitsuki opened the folder.
Issei Hyoudou
Possible Person of Interest for Serpent's Seed
Reason: Unknown, possibly for his Longinus Gear
And beyond that were newspaper clippings of the weather and abnormal news reports regarding the surrounding areas.
"Cattle mutilations off of the old Kusakabe Farm. This year's harvest was ruined due to a rampant disease that targeted the tomatoes of Shiraori's Farmland? And… an unexpected thunderstorm during dry season," she muttered out loud.
"Those newspaper clippings ring any bells?" Rizevim asked.
"They do but… not they aren't significant. This town is a host to two devils and their peerages. Their presences could have been the reason behind these," Mitsuki said.
"She got you there, Rizevim," Azazel said.
"Yes, normally you would be right but… those are from this month alone. Ever since Rias and Sona started their tenure here in Kuoh, there have been no such anomalies. You have to remember that the old generation and the new generation have a completely different set of natural abilities," Rizevim said.
Mitsuki raised an eyebrow at Rizevim's half-baked theory but took it into consideration. "No epicenter?"
"Other than this town. No," he said.
"What about eyewitnesses-"
"You think there'd be witnesses? Kid, this isn't your run-of-the-mill case where you go in and solve a haunting or kill a gaggle of Khaos Brigade troops hiding inside a house. No, this is far larger. Larger than any one of us and we don't even know the people involved," Rizevim said.
"Grandpa might and I'm sure you do," she replied.
"I only have possible culprits but I'm not sure if they're even here. Anyway, this is all I have for you. The rest is up to you," Rizevim said, downing the rest of his beer.
"This is… a lot for one person. Is it alright if I recruit from the locals?" she asked.
"Not my problem. This became yours the moment I handed it off to you," Rizevim said.
Mitsuki pursed her lips in annoyance but remembered that Rizevim was a hard person to talk to. The man spoke in half-truths or jokes. The only time he ever told the truth was when he congratulated Sirzechs Lucifer on his ascension to the position of Demon King Lucifer.
"Fine, I get it. I'll get going. I have a lot to read through and I still have school tomorrow," Mitsuki said.
"If you're late, I can vouch. I'm the chemistry teacher at Kuoh," Azazel said.
"They let you be around kids?" Rizevim asked.
"Shut up, brat. You sound exactly like Big Sis," Azazel said, huffing.
Mitsuki rolled her eyes at their old man arguments and got up from her chair. She pocketed the folder inside her jacket and left the bar.
"Seriously, that report was so sparse. JuSt ReAd ThE fOlDeR. eVeRyThInG's In ThErE," Mitsuki said, mocking the way Rizevim spoke. The feeling of the night air brushed against her face when she remembered the promise she made with Issei a couple of hours earlier.
"Oh shit… but he's probably at home now. I'll go see if he wants to hang out. Let me just…" Mitsuki conjured a storage circle and dropped the folder inside. "Sorry, Yorihime. You'll have to deal with these folders until I get home," she said, apologizing to her sword.
As she approached the house, Mitsuki felt a pit in her stomach forming. She didn't know why but something was wrong. She hurriedly hopped over the gate and walked up to the front door where she incessantly rang the doorbell.
The door opened to reveal a small white-haired girl dressed in shorts and a pink shirt. She looked up at her and narrowed her eyes. The girl could sense her, judging from the fact that she had gone on guard almost immediately.
"Koneko. Who's at the… door," Xenovia said.
Mitsuki blinked. Koneko and Xenovia. If she recalled from the initial intel she received at briefing, these two were the Rook and Knight of Rias Gremory respectively.
"You're Mitsuki," Xenovia said.
"Er… oh, you remember me?" she asked.
"How could I not? You made quite the entrance in class today. Not to mention how close you are to Issei," she replied.
Koneko stiffened at her words. A mysterious girl with demonic power close to Issei? Something about this wasn't adding up.
"Oh, right. Ehehe, anyway, I'm here to see Aniki. Is he around?" Mitsuki asked.
"No. He's out. Now go away," Koneko said.
"Eh? Really? It's like 9 pm. Why is he out this late?" she asked.
"None of your business. Now leave. We'll tell him you were here and you can see him at school tomorrow," she insisted.
"Er… can I come in to say hi to Uncle and Auntie-"
Koneko's response to her request was to slam the door in her face. Mitsuki flinched at how hard she closed the door. If the girl had used any more strength, she would have leveled the foyer. Mitsuki sighed, hearing the locks click shut. Her eyes gazed up at the second floor where she felt Issei's energy signature.
"Welp. This isn't the first time I've done a B&E," she muttered to herself. She tensed the muscles in her thighs and jumped into the air, reaching the second floor in a single jump. Mitsuki landed on the ledge outside Issei's window and peered inside.
Issei was sound asleep in his bed, snoring slightly. The room was too dark for her to make anything out besides Issei's sleeping form. She pushed open the window, knowing full well that Issei never locks his windows.
Landing softly on the ground, Mitsuki walked over and her eyes widened when she laid eyes on him.
"A- Aniki, what's going… on?" she muttered to herself, seeing the distended black jugular veins on Issei's neck. She placed a hand on his forehead and winced, retracting it almost immediately. Holy Power. It's completely saturated his body. It's killing him from the inside out but… there's no way it's from the Dividing Gear so what the hell is causing it? She thought.
As she was about to pull his covers back to inspect him more, the door to Issei's room swung open and Xenovia and Koneko walked inside, ready to fight. Xenovia summoned a greatsword with a blue blade that had a golden edge.
Durandal… she thought. Her eyes drifted over to Koneko, who was in a basic kickboxing stance.
"Who are you?" Xenovia demanded. "First, you arrive at school and meet with Issei and now, you sneak into his room? Did you think we wouldn't sense it?"
"Let's all calm down. I'm just here to see him," Mitsuki said.
"Leave," Koneko said. "Last warning."
"No. I'm not leaving until I find out what the hell is going on to make him look like that," Mitsuki said.
"Don't make us use force," the blue-haired Knight growled.
Mitsuki narrowed her eyes. Her hazel eyes shined with a faint yellow light and demonic power surged from her body. A flash of blue light appeared around her wrists and condensed into a pair of silver wristbands with blue gems embedded into them.
Sacred Gear? Koneko thought. However, before she could move, an overwhelming pressure rooted her and Xenovia to their spots. Touki too!? The girl looked upon them with a cold gaze.
"We need to call the others," Xenovia said.
Mitsuki held her hand out and a blue magic circle ejected a pitch-black scabbard that had a trigger mechanism built into the saya, located below the sword's tsuba. Mitsuki held the saya to her side, hand hovering just above the hilt of the katana and preparing to press the trigger at a moment's notice.
"What's going on…?" Issei asked, still feeling groggy from the effects of Akeno's sleeping spell.
"I- Issei?" Xenovia said.
"Aniki!" Mitsuki slackened her grip on her saya and rushed over to him. She knelt next to his bed and began to fuss over him. "Are you alright? Where does it hurt?"
"What? Mii-chan? How'd you get into my room?" Issei asked.
"You have a habit of never locking your window," she replied. "Anyway, enough about that. Take off your shirt!" Mitsuki said.
"Hey! Wait! I-"
Issei and Mitsuki's eyes widened when Durandal's blade was placed next to Mitsuki's neck.
Issei looked at Xenovia in shock but the girl paid him no mind. At this point, Yuuto, Asia, and Akeno had ran down from their respective floors and saw Xenovia threatening to behead the new girl.
"What the hell are you doing, Xenovia!?" Issei asked.
"Issei! You're being tricked! This girl is a devil!" she said. "And she broke into your room!"
Upon hearing that, Akeno stepped forward and placed a hand on Xenovia's shoulder. "Okay, how about we all calm down and figure this all out?" Akeno said soothingly.
Xenovia bit her cheek and pulled Durandal away from Mitsuki, who finally had room to stand up straight and glare at her. Her hand flew to the hilt of her sword and stayed there in case the girl decided to attack. Her action forced the other active members of the Gremory Peerage to arm themselves. All of them except Issei and Akeno.
"Adashino-san, I think it's best if you leave," Akeno said.
"W- Wait! Akeno! Mii-chan does this all the time! She did this when she used to live here! And I think she's here to check on me! We were supposed to meet at the park and-"
"Ise, this girl is a devil. A powerful one at that and we don't know where she came from or why she's here. I think I'm within my rights to kick her out of the house," Akeno said calmly. Her fingers stretched and lightning crackled around them.
"What? No! I swear she's-" He tried to get up. A sharp pain cut through his body and it felt as if his chest was being crushed. He fell to the ground, clutching at his throat and chest and screaming in pain.
"A- Aniki!" Mitsuki dropped to the ground. She hovered over Issei, trying to figure out what was going on when her eyes drifted to his blackened veins. The veins began to pulsate and glow. This… This was beyond them. She needed to get him help. Mitsuki turned to Akeno, who was too shocked to move. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE! DO SOMETHING!" she yelled.
Her sudden rise in tone snapped Akeno out of her funk. Akeno reached into her pocket and pulled out a spell tag. A flier keyed to summon Rias. One she forgot to hand out the day prior. She thanked Lucifer that she forgot. Akeno ripped the paper in half and a magic circle appeared in the middle of the room.
Rias manifested within Issei's room with an annoyed look on her face, having just had her meeting interrupted by an impromptu summoning. However, what she was met with was not at all a summoning but her peerage members armed and Issei having a heart attack on the floor.
"Ise!" Rias rushed forward and knocked Mitsuki aside. "What…? What happened!?" she demanded.
"Rias, earlier, we were trying to reach you to get Issei to Lord Beelzebub's lab! We need to get him there now!" Yuuto urged.
"What? Why? He needs an Asia, not Lord Beelzebub! He's having a heart attack for Satan's sake!" she yelled.
"No," Mitsuki said. "It's because of the holy power in his body."
"Holy… power?" Rias turned to Mitsuki. "You're… You're the transfer student Azazel told me about."
"Yeah, nice to meet you. Now's not the time to introduce ourselves. We need to get to Lord Beelzebub's lab like your Knight said. The Holy Power inside of Aniki is tearing him apart and we need to get it out! Now!" Mitsuki said.
"R- Right! But how…" Rias asked as she was preparing a mass-transportation circle. "Issei doesn't have anything Holy inside of him that can harm him. Ascalon had ceremonies performed on it by all Three Factions so that Issei can wield it! How does he have holy power inside him?" Rias asked.
She could feel it now. What Mitsuki was referring to. The veins bulged on Issei's neck and skin. They were radiating that burning energy they knew all too well.
"No clue but we need to go now!" Mitsuki urged.
Rias nodded and finished the circle. In a flash of red light, the entire group disappeared from Issei's room.
"Where…?" Issei found himself standing amidst an infinite white void. He took one step forward and the location changed to a ruined medieval city. "What the…?"
"Welcome, Red Dragon Emperor."
Issei whirled around and his eyes widened. He took a step back and glared at the opponent.
Before him stood a man dressed in white European clothing with a pleated collar located around his neck. The man had an aura of confidence and stared at Issei with much interest in his eyes. His grey hair blew gently in the breeze and he took a step forward. The Divine Dividing manifested on his back and Issei could feel the power rolling off him.
"You're… not Vali," Issei said.
"That's right. I am one of the past possessors of the Divine Dividing which you so foolishly took into your own body. And I… I am here to right a wrong that I suffered at the hands of Elsha," he said.
"W- Who?" he asked.
"So prepare yourself, current Red Dragon. I, Anastacius De Romanova, shall fight you here and now," he said.

To Megar007: Rizevim is the grandson of Lucifer as I have had him be the son of Satan. It's kind of confusing because Satan refers to himself as Satan Lucifer. But yeah, he is Satan's Son and Lucifer's Grandson like in the first two incarnations. And in this one, Rizevim did not join Khaos Brigade buuut, he's still unhinged and Sirzechs still considers him a flight risk. The one who took his place... well, I'll let you figure that out.
Anon-kun: Yes, Lucifer still created Devils. That's also true in canon except in canon, Lucifer created them from Lilith's flesh. In this AU, Lucifer created them from her own energy by converting her Holy Power into Demonic Power. Grace and Taint don't exist in this iteration of the fic however, the powers that Lucifer had are still the same... almost. You'll see in the next chapter if you're still here. Hehe.
Keep these reviews up. I like answering these now that I've slowed down.
Don't worry. It has nothing to do with his pieces. He's not getting them removed. Nothing's changing. You don't have to worry about anything. This is just a way for me to set some stuff up. Now, let's go over some more differences. Since... of course, Irina isn't here and considering in the previous 2, Irina was the subject of his illusions, I changed that. It's Rias and the other girls this time. I felt like it was more fitting for me to use them since Issei is close to them. I won't have Irina appear for a bit so you'll have to be patient if you were expecting Irina to be the one to do everything for Issei.
Remember to leave a review! I'll try to answer as much as possible in the chapters where I post. And also remember to follow!
