Randy was thrown to his knees as two men held his arms above his head. The brown squirrel continued to fight for his breath as he looked down at the wooded decked floor below him. Blood from the wound on his head was dripping down his face and began to pool between the wood planks in the bar's backroom. Randy tried one last desperate attempt to struggle free as heavy foot steps walked up to him. A large black boot dug swiftly into his gut causing him to nearly lose consciousness. Had his arm not been bound by the other men he would have fallen face first into the ground.

"Leave us!" The man that assaulted Randy commanded to the others in an angry deep voice.

Randy hunched over on the floor after the two men release their grip on him while they took their leave. He sat there shaking for a moment before the other man kneeled down and then dug his fingers into the wound on the squirrel's head. Randy let out a scream as leader of the small band of Templar's pulled the squirrel up took look him in the face.

"Where is she?" He hissed as his red eyes radiated fury.

"Who?" Randy laughed at the larger man's question despite the massive pain crippling his body.

The tall black hedgehog dug his claws deeper into Randy's scalp causing him to cease his laughing and yelp loudly in pain. "Don't make me repeat myself, bard!"

"I haven't had a woman in weeks!" Randy managed to spit out. "Just ask the bartender!" He started to laugh again amused with himself despite knowing full well there was more pain to come. This wasn't the first time the Templar's had come looking for his sister. Luckily, she was usually away when they did show up, and most commanders would grow bored of torturing Randy after a night or two before then moving on with their hit list.

Randy found himself being throw face first into the hard floor. He immediately attempted to push himself up only to be met with residence of the Templar's hand still pushing his head into the ground. After a short moment of struggling Randy went limp, and just gave-in while hoping the beating would just get over with quickly. To Randy's shock the hedgehog let go of him and walked to the other side of the room. "This can't be good." The male squirrel thought to himself.

"Those that harbor fugitives are just as guilty as the filth they aim to protect." The holy knight spat while unsheathing his long sword.

Randy was barely able to push himself up and look the Templar in the eye. "And murder is murder no matter what God yer aiming ta please." Randy laid back down on the floor not even caring what punishment the knight would deal out as his body began not responding to his minds requested commands.

Sandy found herself near a large pound after hastily leaping through the portal. She looked around and wasn't too surprised to find herself alone. Beth was a young less experienced mage and teleportation spells were difficult enough just to perform on one's self so the fact she opened a portal for all those in the library to escape was a great feat. The portals route must have been continually fluctuation due to the fact the female squirrel was standing by the water's edge by herself. She took in her surroundings a bit more carefully before noticing the smoke rising into the sky to the north of her.

"I need to find the others." She thought to herself as she kneeled down and touched the soft dirt. Sandy closed her eyes and took a deep steady breath before reciting a short spell. She could feel the pulsing of the earth and could make out bleeps of life for a few miles around her. She focused in on different beings until one she recognized filled her minds vision. "Static." She breathed relived as she stood up and started to make her way towards him. He was only a half mile from her current location but he seemed to be moving in the opposite direction from her. He was likely going to the old western watch tower, as it was commonly used as a meeting point during exercises.

It wasn't long after she started to push through the forest that she started to regret putting on her long silk purple dress. She rarely wore such cumbersome clothing, but she had known she was going to be studying with Static later, and like any normal young woman she gave into wanting to impress him. A scowl crossed her face as she though about how silly she had been acting because of him lately. She was one to pride herself on not getting caught up in distraction such as wealth, power, or love but she now realized, as she hiked up her dress in a futile attempt to make her trek easier, that she may have in fact fallen victim to the latter.

Sandy had finally had enough. She stopped halfway up a hill and pulled out a small dagger from her waist band. She made quick work of cutting her dress to knee length and took a sigh of relief as she started moving again with far more ease. After 5 more minutes of trailing Static Sandy found herself coming to a stop.

Something didn't quite feel right. Before she had much time to take in her surroundings she turned to the rattling of armor. Before her stood two large walking corpses with weapons drawn. She took a step back as she got into a defensive stance. Just as she started to recite a spell, she was shocked to find two arms gently wrap around her from behind. She reached back in an attempt to flip her unseen enemy off of her but stopped after hearing him speak.

"Thank the Gods, Sandy!" Static hummed as he embraced her for the first time.

"Static!" She pushed him off of her so she could turn and hug him back. Sandy looked back at the corpses and realized they were under his control. She felt a bit uneasy even still being as this was the first time; she'd ever seen any of his abominations.

"Don't worry about them." He reassured her. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." She let go of her male friend and took a step back a bit embarrassed that she had held her grip around him for so long. "Have you seen anyone else?" She asked trying to hide the blush from her face.

"No one. I figured the west tower would be the best bet before heading to another Citadel." Static motioned for his undead minions to follow as he abruptly took Sandy's hand and lead their way.

Sandy found a small thrill in Static take charge in actions, however she scolded herself at the same time for letting a school girl crush take up this much of her focus during a time like this. She squeezed his hand as she followed him which lead to him looking back at her with a grin. The purple squirrel then turned his attention back to the trail ahead.

"What happened?" Static asked as they continued on.

"Templars." Sandy replied as her face hardened with angry. Sandy hoped most of the others had made it away from the templars grasp as she stayed completely unaware of her brothers own impending fate.
