(For a few days there I thought I lost this little bit.)

Nightfall overtook them far sooner than Sandy had hoped for. Despite the fact she had to focus on eliminating their way with an orb for a few hours, she was quite happy about the drop in temperature the darkness brought with it. However, even with the magical light and cooling breeze the two still eventually succumb to fatigue and stopped to rest for the remainder of the night. Likely after a short nap they'd be able to reach Kemp right after first light.

After slowing her pace, and having Static follow suit, she kneeled down at the base a large tree and took a seat before leaning against the large hard trunk. "This is likely da best place for us ta get some rest before pushing on ta town. I figure after a short nap I can cast a spell to hold our stamina out until midday at least."

Before Sandy had even stopped talking Static held his hand up to command his minions to patrol once more before then finding a seat next to her where he let out a sigh of relief. "Sounds good to me." He gazed at her in the faded life of the illuminating orb. "So, are you going to let me in on what so important in Kemp that we had to leave all of our lovely brethren to tend to?" A soft smile crossed her lips as she made eye contact with him, causing his breath to catch as he almost forgot how to breath.

Something about being alone with her in this faded unnatural light drove his yearning for physical contact to a more intensively sensual, yet dark, place. The tension and heat between them was truly unbearable, but she had requested rest, and rest he would oblige to. After their task was complete in Kept perhaps, he'd finally be able to show her a thing or two that didn't relate to their training. At that point they'd likely both be yearning for a way to be able to forget about this damned war they were just thrown into.

"My brother." Sandy responded as her face now became a bit concerned.

Confusion now covered Statics demeaner, as this new information brough his train of through out of his pants and back squarely on his shoulders. "Your brother?" He repeated a bit bewildered. "I though your brother was a traveling bard? Why would he be hanging out in this stuck-up area?"

"Kept ain't exactly like as fancy as many of da town around here. I'm guessing that's one of the reasons ya've never been." Sandy now smirked as she teased him about his noble bloodline. "Besides, he's only a wondering bard 'cause we travel tagether. After the massacre on our hometown ten years back we only got each other. It was after dat that da Council found me and started teaching me magic properly."

Static frowned. He knew she had started with The Council around the same time he had, but he'd never really dug into the details behind it. He figured they had bribed her family with giving them a place as a respected house, but it seemed that wasn't the case. The House title must have been payment to her brother who she'd be ripped away from. Although they seem to have found away around total separation. "I'm sorry." Static reached out and placed one of his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her.

"It's in da past, but thanks." She placed a hand on his knee and then laid her head on his shoulder. "We best get some rest, as the spell will be more effect that way."

"Good night, Sandra." The necromancer whispered and he fully put his arm around her and pulled her in close.

"Extinguish." She breathed lightly causing the orb to go out before nudging her head closers to his. "Night love." She spoke lightly into his neck as she started to quickly submerge into the depths of her own unconscious mind.

The two spell casters woke up in what felt like the blink of an eye. Although, Sandy knew full well, and tried to convince Static, that they had gotten a good hour and a half rest before waking up. Static bit his tongue as he didn't want her to know his mind had been wondering sinfully for a good half hour of their rest period. However, once she cast her spell to recharge their stamina, the male squirrel felt much more alive than his handful of minions that he commanded. He felt so well in fact he finally stopped complaining about how tired he was under his breath.

Sandy knew he was one to complain from time to time, and was still in awe of how she was finding it still cute even in the current circumstances. I guess she had officially lost her mind in a love sick haze. Although, she admitted to herself easily that she didn't really mind all that much when he gave her that cocky, oh so full of himself grin. The same one he worn just now as they started to head out for the town of Kemp once again.

Static's undead lackeys followed behind them with their bones clanking against dinger armor. Static wasn't sure where they came from as he still couldn't recall casting a spell to bring them back to life. The only reason he was bothered was that the sigil they worn on their armor he'd never seen before. He knew spells on how to resurrect dead bodies before him, but these undead men seemed to be pulled from the depths of hell and regenerated before him which was a task he'd only read about and never dared to practice as his current knowledge level. The male necromancer would occasionally turn and look at his lifeless, yet very spry, guards as they got closer to their destination. He continued wondering about the details of their past and current creation. Hopefully he'd have time to examine and even disenchant them himself to get a better understand of all that had taken place to cause their current existence under his control.

"Everything alright, Shug?" Sandy asked.

Static looked at her and smiled apologetically. "I'm fine. Just can't wait to take a closer look at them." He motioned towards the undead following them.

Laughter made it way out of Sandy's mouth. Causing Static to look at her questioningly. "Sorry." She started before laughing again. "Yer just so caught up in your field, you can't even stop when a war is at our door step." She now smiled at him sincerely happy. "No wonder I like ya so much."

Static was about to answer but was cut off before he started as they found themselves coming to the edge of the dingy town.

"Ya better keep yer pets hidden, ya work-acholic."

"Of course, Lady Cheeks." He snickered as he lifted his hand up causing the ungodly creation to step back and await his next command.

Sandy looked back at him annoyed at him calling her by her pretend noble title. "That's lady ass-whooping ta ya." She seemed happy enough with herself with the scolding she had handed out as she moved forward and crouched down to see the town before them. Static followed suit and narrowed his eyes to try to adjust on anything in the lax light of sunrise.

"Everything seems calm here." Sandy sighed happily.

"Are you sure?" Static objected as he pointed at a figure pacing behind a building almost out of site.

Sandy leaned closer to Static to get a good look at the person he was pointing at completely unaware of him getting giddy from her now closer proximity. "Templars." She growled lowly.

"Are you sure your brother is still here?" Static pressed, not really in the mood to face the enemy for just one man, not that he'd admit the worthlessness her brother held, to Sandy herself.

"Ya. He always waits here for me when I'm at the Citadel of Lake Born. He's had run in with Templars in the past. Usually small groups, but we can't be too careful considering da attack yesterday."

"Where is he usually?" Static questioned hoping she'd point to the other side of town.

"He like ta hang out at the main bar. Which happens ta be right where our red and white clad friend is walking about.

"Great." Static moaned as he clenched his fists. After a moment the tenseness left Static's body as he looked at her and grinned menacingly. "Sounds like we need a diversion." A laugh escaped him as he lifted a hand calling his minions to his side. "How you do want me to play our hand, darling?" Static's face became serous as she pushed into her personal space and brushed his lips against hers.

This bolden move by Static took Sandy completely by surprise as she turned completely red as his lips teased hers. She became even more uncomfortable as he pulled away and took in her rattled demeanor. Somehow the female found her strength again, likely due to the current dire situation and grabbed him by the collar before kissing him forcefully again, to play up her strength in their current unknow relationship. "We need ta draw the Templars away from da bar. The local guards won't likely want ta tangle with the undead. Hopefully with the fanatics busy we won't have any trouble finding Randy." She spoke her words warmly on his face as she still gripped onto him tight. She finally released him after finishing her commands that he put to work at once.

Sandy sat and waited for the Templar barely in her site to get drawn in by Statics undead. Once that happened, they'd give another minute for his brothers to follow suit, so she could go find hers. "Hold on Randy. I'm on my way!" She prayed to him in her mind.
