Issei blinked and found himself standing in a lush green field. That was the only way he could describe it. A field that went on, appearing to span the area of the entire planet. There were trees and trees and more trees. Animals frolicked freely across the land and birds flew across the skies. Issei took a step forward and began to make his way through this place he only knew as paradise.
"Hey, Ddraig. You know where we are?" Issei asked.
No response.
"Ddraig?" Issei tried to summon the Boosted Gear to his arm.
"I'm not getting anything? Where am I?" he asked himself.
Deciding that standing around wouldn't help, Issei took a few more steps forward. This place seemed familiar yet he knew it was totally alien to him. He had never been here before but his body felt completely at home. It was the weirdest sense of deja vu he's ever had in his entire life.
"Wow, this place is amazing. This… this dream is even better than the dream I have about Rias all the time!" Issei said.
He was glad he was the only one here. No one would ever know that he admitted that a dream without boobs was the best dream he's ever had.
As he kept pushing onward, Issei saw a massive tree that towered into the sky. Its canopy was obscured by the clouds. And there were buildings that surrounded the tree. Buildings with winged figures hovering, sitting and frolicking about.
"Angels. Am I in Heaven?" Issei wondered to himself.
The minute Issei took another step forward, he froze.
There was a woman standing in front of him and she looked… like him. And Mitsuki. And Irina. And Yuuto. And his Mom and Dad too? This woman looked like everyone he had ever met wrapped into one person.
"H- Hey!" Issei said, reaching out for her. As he did, darkness covered the skies, the grass, and his surroundings until Issei was left within a dark void. "What the-!? What is this!? Where am I!?" Issei demanded.
"Answer me!" he yelled.
"How rude. So this is how you talk to someone who saved you,"a voice said.
"You're that voice! What did you do? What was that dream?" Issei asked.
"It's too early for you to know and it's too early for us to meet," the voice said.
"Then when?" Issei asked.
"When you're strong enough, we'll meet face to face. If I were to let you use Opposition, your body would break down like it did when you used your Dividing Gear. You need to get stronger for us to talk outside of dreams," she said.
"And how do you propose I do that?" he asked sarcastically.
Issei heard a giggle of amusement. He looked up and saw a mass of shadows standing a distance away. It spread its seven pairs of pitch black feathered wings. A pair of mismatched eyes looked down at him. It raised a finger to its mouth and a smile spread across its mostly featureless face.
"You know how. You've entered it twice yet both times, you needed help. You were too weak to do it on your own. Until you've attained the Balance Breaker, we cannot talk," she said.
"B- Balance Breaker? How do I get it?" Issei asked, running towards the figure.
"That's for you to figure out. Now… wakey, wakey!" the figure flicked the air, sending Issei flying out of the void and…
Issei sat abruptly, cold sweat trailing down his forehead. He panted heavily.
"Mmmm, Issei. You okay?" Rias asked, yawning. She rubbed her eyes drowsily.
Issei glanced over to her and his face immediately turned red. Her habit of sleeping naked. He thought he'd be used to it by now but he realized that he wasn't as used to it as he'd like to believe. He backed off a bit after seeing the blanket slip off, revealing her bare chest. As he moved back, he heard someone moan softly. Issei looked down and saw that his hand was on Asia's chest.
"I'm so sorry!" Issei yelled, jumping off the bed. He ran out of the room and towards the bathroom.
Rias stared for a few seconds before erupting in a burst of laughter. Ise, for someone who's such a pervert, you're surprisingly innocent. But then again, Rias felt her face get increasingly hot with each passing second. I can't exactly say the same about myself, Rias admitted to herself.
Issei sat at the table, watching everyone eat breakfast. Mitsuki's words rang inside his head yesterday. Her offer was still fresh inside his head. And the fact that he accepted it was still something he was getting over.
"Got anything planned this weekend?" Rias asked, poking Issei's scrambled eggs.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm hanging out with Mii-chan this weekend. It's been a year since I've seen her and a lot of things in town changed. But… Mii-chan being Mii-chan wants to just hang out at her house," Issei said. "She's gonna show me lots of things."
Upon hearing the words exit Issei's mouth, Rias's mind did a cosmic backflip into a conclusion.
Show… him things? Issei's known her for years and he calls her Mii-chan. The transfer student also calls him Aniki! And of all things, she's a Devil too! What if… What if this showing Issei things is just her… Rias trailed off. A montage of lewd images played inside her head of Issei and Mitsuki doing horrendously lewd things to each other.
"Y- You can't do that! You're still in high school!" Rias protested.
Everyone at the table stared at her as if she had lost her mind. Issei blinked and was confused as to what she was referring to. "A- Anyway, I'm gonna see how much better she's become. The last time I spent time with her, Mii-chan would win half the time but we'd go all night until one of us gave up," Issei said, popping a piece of bacon into his mouth.
And it all clicked in all their heads except Xenovia's. Koneko shook her head while Asia turned beet red. Yuuto just laughed into his hand and Akeno raised an eyebrow before landing the killing blow.
"So… you're saying that if Mitsuki got serious, she'd wring you dry?" Akeno asked.
"Oh yeah, she'd drain me if she wanted to," Issei said.
"A- Akeno!" Rias yelled.
Ding!
Issei pulled his phone out of his pocket.
[Where r u? its almost time. dont be l8!]
Issei sighed and got up. "I gotta go. Mitsuki's waiting for me."
After Issei left the room, Rias just sat there, staring at his plate.
"Buchou? Are you okay?" Akeno asked.
"Issei didn't finish the pancakes I made for him," Rias said, putting her fork down.
"Hmm, whoever Mitsuki is, Ise-kun must have really missed her. I wonder how close those two actually are," Yuuto said, taking a bite of his food.
"What are you implying, Yuuto?" Rias asked.
"I'm saying that we should get Gasper to find out who she actually is. Her records are here. We know that she's a Devil. You said that Azazel told you that much. But, as to her previous relationship to our Pawn? That we don't know. For all we know, Asia and Buchou might be home-"
"Okay, I'm going to stop you right there before you go down a path I don't want to even consider!" Rias answered.
"That's right, Kiba-san! Issei-san and Mitsuki-san can't possibly be l- lo- lo…" Asia couldn't finish her sentence.
Xenovia nodded in kind. "I propose we follow them. If they're just at the house, she lives across the street and we can use our superior height to spy on them," Xenovia suggested.
"See, this is why I don't regret reincarnating you, Xenovia," Rias said.
Yuuto felt a bead of sweat drop from his forehead. Koneko looked on with a disinterested expression on her face while Akeno looked on with worry. "Ara, does love really reduce the number of working brain cells you guys have to one?" she asked.
"Not now, Akeno. We'll talk about brains later," Rias said, completely missing the point of what Akeno just said.
Akeno just sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Did you wait long?" Issei asked, running up to her.
Mitsuki was dressed in a blue jacket with a black shirt underneath and black shorts. She had socks going up to her mid-calf and wore blue sneakers. Her hair was fully tied in a ponytail rather than her usual hair down and small ponytail in the back. She smiled when she saw him.
"Not long. Come on, I need to go do some groceries before we go home," Mitsuki said, grabbing his hand.
"H- Hey! Slow down!" Issei said, feeling himself get dragged to the grocery store.
"They went to the grocery store…" Rias peeked out from the bush alongside Asia and Xenovia.
"Are you seriously going to follow them?" Akeno asked, walking up to them. Yuuto and Koneko were next to her, giving their king worried glances.
"Yes, now, let's go!"
"So I was thinking. Wanna eat dinner over at my place for old times' sake?" Mitsuki asked, inspecting the squash.
"Are you going to make hamburger steak for old times' sake?" Issei asked.
"We'll need to head to the meat section for that," Mitsuki said, putting the squash in the cart.
The two walked down the isles, grabbing whatever they could.
"Hey, Aniki, want some?" she asked, holding up a bottle of Fanta.
"Yeah, get two," he said.
"So I was thinking. After we get you signed up, we'd sit back and go a couple rounds. You up for that?" Mitsuki grabbed a bag of chips and placed it into the cart.
"Explain… settling in," Issei said.
"We're going to head over to HQ and get you your own Armillary Sphere. Get you registered so you can have credentials. Since you're my referral and by proxy, Gramps's referral, you're going to be orienting under me for a couple of weeks. You'll be referred to as Cadet instead of Operative and you don't get a cool codename," Mitsuki said.
The two were in the meat section and Mitsuki was inspecting the cold cuts. "I have a meat grinder but I'm trying to think of which beef to use," she said, rubbing her chin.
"You mean magic?" Issei asked.
"Semantics. It's a meat grinder," she replied. "Ne, Aniki. How did you become a Devil anyway?" Mitsuki asked.
"Well, remember when I told you my first taste with women didn't work out. It turns out she was a Fallen Angel sent to observe me and kill me if I got too dangerous. In the end, she ended up killing me and… Mii-chan?" Issei paled when he saw lightning arcing off her hand.
The lightning slow cooked the cut in her hand, roasting it until it was rare.
"I'm sorry. Can you repeat that for me?" Mitsuki said, placing the now rare cut back in the freezer. Her smile was anything but happy and he saw sparks of electricity crackling around her.
"M- Mii-chan, calm down! She's dead! Buchou took care of her," Issei said.
"Right so after that, what happened next? Obviously, something happened before you fought, Kokabiel," Mitsuki said.
The two were now making their way to the checkout aisle.
"I fought Riser Phenex, Buchou's fiance for her freedom," Issei said. "It was one heck of a battle. We actually lost the Rating Game first but then I ran in there and fought for her freedom. I even used my Balance Breaker and everything," he said.
"Your Balance Breaker? You can use Balance Breaker?" she raised an eyebrow.
"Well, yes and no. I need help to get there. I can't actually get there on my own," he admitted.
"We'll fix that," Mitsuki took out her wallet and paid for their groceries. As the two were grabbing their bags, Mitsuki suddenly grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the store.
"M- Mii-chan! What now?" Issei asked.
"We're being followed. Come on," she said, turning a corner.
Rias and the others popped out of their hiding spots.
"Come on! Let's go," she said.
"Buchou, I don't think this is ethical," Yuuto said.
"Ethics is for humans. We're devils," Rias said. As they rounded the corner where Issei and Mitsuki went, they found that they were no longer there.
Issei nearly vomited. He thanked the Gods that he wasn't carrying any eggs. He fell to his hands and knees and dry heaved. Issei looked up and saw Mitsuki walking to the kitchen. She teleported. She had the ability to teleport. Was this her Devil Clan's power? Instantaneous Teleportation? He had seen Michael and Azazel do the same a few times. A few wing beats and they were gone.
"At least give me a warning before you do that," Issei said, looking up at her with a slightly pale face.
"Aw come on, Aniki. Don't tell me you've never teleported before," she said, squatting in front of him.
"Not like that. I felt like my insides were being put through a washing machine," Issei said.
"Well, let's put this all in the fridge and I'll call for a Gate to come pick us up. With any luck, your peerage mates should still be at the grocery store looking for us so we'll be able to get out without them noticing," Mitsuki said. She levitated the grocery bags and began walking to the kitchen.
Issei nodded and stood. He began walking around the familiar surroundings of his sister's house. Most of the decorations were gone and the living room was rather barren with the exception of a small couch, a coffee table, and a TV. He saw a few pictures hanging on the wall.
Issei grabbed one and smiled. A fond look of reminiscence spread across his face.
"Aniki, are you ready?" Mitsuki saw him staring at a photo and peeked over his shoulder. She smiled. It was that old photo.
The subject of the photo was the two of them. They were at the beach in Kuoh, playing in the sand. Issei was holding up two fistfuls of sand while she was standing next to him with a gap-toothed grin with wet sand all over her face. This was taken when they were 5 years old. It would be an entire year before Issei and Mitsuki had met Irina. She glanced at the photo next to it.
Their first year in elementary school. She chuckled and wondered if Issei thought that Irina was still a boy.
"Aniki, are you ready?" she asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah. Man, it's been so long since we've been to that beach," Issei said, putting the photo back.
"Should we go sometime this year? We can even bring Irina with us," Mitsuki said.
"Yeah, just the three of us," Issei said.
Her lips curved upwards into a warm smile. She nodded and pulled a small orb from her pocket.
"So the way this works is that we'll have to step through a portal to get there. Stick close to me while we're doing a tour. You're technically a new recruit and I don't want you to get lost inside the base," she said.
"Right." Issei nodded.
Mitsuki tapped the orb lightly. "Base, this is Moon Halo requesting a Gate at my location," she said.
[Moon Halo? Aren't you on a long-term case?] the operator asked.
"I am but I've been given free rein so I called in a referral. I'm just here to do registration," Mitsuki said.
[A referral? From your grandfather, I assume] the operator said.
"Yup!" Mitsuki lied as naturally as she breathed.
[Alright then. I'll inform the Chapter Head that you're coming in with a referral] the operator said. The line cut off and a green vortex opened in front of them.
"Referral?" Issei asked.
"There are two ways to get into Blacklight. One is you either have family or get scouted and go through an affiliate academy for a year in order to join. The second is through a referral. That's how I got in. I was too old to join an affiliate academy but my friend, Ingvild, came from one," Mitsuki said. "You are coming as my referral which in turn is Grandpa's referral. I already informed Grandpa of the situation and he's more than willing to let you in as my partner for this case."
"Wow, this is all so… complicated," Issei said.
"Don't worry about that stuff. We're only at base for the first few days. One to get you to register, the next few to get you your stuff. An armillary sphere will be registered to you. Give you access to the database. And probably get a callsign. Who knows?" she said, stepping through the portal.
Issei followed after her and his mouth fell open upon arriving. The scene was like something out of a movie. Vehicles landing and taking off. People talking amongst themselves, conducting briefings, and checking supplies. There were even people there jogging for their daily exercise routine.
"Come on," she said.
"Do we get our own planes?" Issei asked, staring at one of the sleek jets resting in the hanger.
"Jets? No, those are for the ones with licenses. I don't have a license. While we do have a gate, we keep these around for blending in with military operations. These can go through gates too," Mitsuki answered.
"Aw, I want a jet," Issei said, sulking.
"You can get a jet. All you have to do is take classes here for certification to fly one," she replied.
"Really?"
"Yeah, really."
The two exited the hangar and began walking down the hall. The sheer size of the place was nothing more than mind-boggling. If he had to guess, the place was as large as an entire district in Kuoh Town or probably even as big as the town itself, considering that it has a hangar bay. Issei ran over to the railing and looked down. The place was multi-leveled and Issei got a bird's eye view of the departments.
"Come on. I'll give you a brief tour," Mitsuki said. She was sitting in a golf cart.
"We're gonna ride in that?" Issei asked.
"This place is as big as Kuoh Town. You'll need this to get around to places on different levels," Mitsuki said.
Issei boarded the cart and Mitsuki drove them around. She handed him her Armillary Sphere. Mitsuki took a turn and went down a ramp to the floor below them.
"All the levels are circular so you can do a full loop in like a day or a couple of hours if you walk," she said. "We're heading to level three which is another floor below us but I'll drive around on this floor just to show you around. The first floor is just the entry hall. There are a lot of lobbies and lounges there for agents to rest up or hold pre-case briefings. The floor below us is where a lot of things start. On this floor, there are also lounges here but there are a lot of offices here. The Hunting Department occupies this entire level so all you'll find here are the dorms and basic reference materials for stuff like the geography of different places. The training areas are at the lowest level along with the R&D. Intelligence is the next floor down," Mitsuki said.
"Wow, so this is where you live?" Issei asked, looking at one of the rooms. The window blinds were shut but Issei could make out the silhouette of a woman changing.
"No, I live with Mom and Dad up on the surface. We have a house here," she explained.
"We are going to the Intelligence Department where we'll get your blood, hair, fingerprints, and a small procedure where your finger gets pricked and we take a sample of your soul," she said.
"My what?"
"Your souls. Souls have power. Lots of old ancient magic involved using souls but it faded out over time. We just need a microscopic amount so we can imbue it into your Armillary Sphere," Mitsuki said.
"That's… I don't know how to feel about that," Issei said.
"You don't have to but they need it to fuse to the tech you're going to be given," Mitsuki said.
"Wait, that cool tech has a part of your soul inside?" Issei asked.'
"Yup. Only I can activate it," she replied. "Oh, here we are. Now, before we go in, just know that I can't go in with you. This is something you need to do by yourself but I'll tell you what happens inside. It'll just take a few minutes. All you need to do is put your finger on the scanner and they'll get all your information by siphoning all your information from the national database. Then they'll take a strand of hair, prick your finger for blood, and then take a soul sample. After that, they'll ask you a few questions. What's your favorite color? Do you want MagiTech-"
"MagiTech?" Issei asked.
"It's this stuff." Mitsuki held up her Armillary Sphere. "My sword is also MagiTech. Mom made it for me after I joined. I don't how it works. I just know how to maintain the trigger mechanism on my sword's sheath."
"Okay, what else will they ask?" Issei asked.
"Race. Devil, human, angel. We take in a lot of people here," she replied.
"I see… I'll be back I guess?" Issei said. He got off the cart and walked towards the door.
Mitsuki gave him a thumbs up.
Issei nodded nervously before pushing the door open. He walked inside and saw a silver-haired woman with sulfuric yellow eyes typing mindlessly on a keyboard. She wore a lab coat and a one-piece business suit underneath. The woman was sharply dressed as Issei could tell. Her silver hair was styled in the same manner as Mitsuki's, which Issei noticed. His heart nearly stopped when her sulfuric yellow eyes locked with his hazel-brown ones.
"Come over here," she said.
"Um…" Issei walked forward to her desk. She moved quickly, taking out a small pad with an indent for Issei's finger. "So do I just place my finger on here or wha-"
The woman moved. Or at least Issei thought she did. She had moved extremely fast. Too fast for him to even follow. He felt someone rip out a strand of his hair to which he yelped in pain. "Ow, what the?"
The woman paid him no heed as she placed the strand of his hair into a vial. "Put your hand on the indent. It'll do everything at once."
Issei nodded and placed his hand on it. The minute his pointer finger rested in the indent, he felt a sharp needle prick his finger. He did his best not to pull his hand away, allowing it to collect a drop of blood. A second later, Issei felt a brief feeling of fatigue wash over him.
"Done," she said.
Issei stumbled back, feeling slightly dizzy. "W- What just…?"
"Oh, that's a side effect of having a piece of your soul extracted. You'll be fine. It'll grow back in a few days," the woman said, waving off his concerns.
"What about my fingerprint? And the questions?" Issei asked.
"The fingerprint was collected. Any questions? Er… sure?" the woman turned from her screen to face him. "Favorite color."
"Red." That was an easy reply for Issei.
"Do you want MagiTech?" she asked.
"Yes." Also another easy response for him.
"Just so you know, Armillary Spheres are default so you don't need to ask for them. These are weapons I'm talking about. You already have the Boosted Gear so do you still want a weapon?" she asked.
"Huh… well, then, no I guess," Issei said.
"Less work for me. Are you a referral or did you match to this facility?" she asked.
"A referral."
The woman nodded and made a note to herself to ask Taki later.
"That'll be all," she said.
"That's it? I thought this screening was supposed to be extensive," Issei said.
"Issei Hyoudou. Age 17. Date of Birth: April 16, 2005. Born to Gorou and Miki Hyoudou after two failed pregnancies. You were born premature and spent 2 weeks in the NICU. Your grandfather, Juzo Hyoudou, is the reason why you became obsessed with breasts at a young age. You went to Kagamihara Middle School in Kuoh with Adashino Mitsuki, who was also born on April 16th. Prior to her moving out, you and Mitsuki decided to join Kuoh Academy together under the pretense that you join the Kendo Club with her. However, when she moved away, you went to Kuoh Academy because you already filled out the enrollment and passed the Entrance Exam. During the time you were there, you suffered 758 beatings from the Kendo Club for peeping of which the success rate was 56%-"
"Okay, okay! You can stop!" Issei said, disturbed at the fact that she knew so much about his life.
The woman stopped talking and gave him a smile that seemed so familiar. It was like he had seen it somewhere before. The more he looked, the more he saw that her smile eerily resembled Mitsuki's.
"Anyway, we're done. Was that extensive enough for you?" she tilted her head mockingly.
"Yeah, yeah. That was very extensive," Issei responded.
"Right, tell my darling granddaughter that I'm going to be here for a few weeks to cover for someone, kay?" the woman said.
"Granddaughter?"
"Bye." The woman waved her hand and Issei felt an invisible force throw him out of the room. The door slammed shut and Issei looked at the entryway with a dazed look on his face.
"Aniki! Are you alright?" Mitsuki ran over to him with a worried look on her face.
"Hey, Mii-chan. By any chance, is the woman in that room your grandma?" Issei asked.
"Grandma?" Mitsuki raised an eyebrow.
"She had silvery-blue hair and yellow eyes-"
"Oh god… it's her." Mitsuki pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance.
"Her?" Issei asked.
"My ancestor. Iris Dantalion. She's the first Dantalion and… Mom's Mom," Mitsuki said.
"That's your grandma!" Issei pointed at the door.
"Shhh! Not so loud! She might hear you and come outside!" Mitsuki slapped her hand over his mouth. "Ahh, geez. You're still so loud," she sighed.
"Anyway, let's go home. We'll come back in a few days to pick up the Armillary Sphere," Mitsuki said.
"Wait. Can we check out the training area first?" Issei asked.
"What for?" Mitsuki raised an eyebrow.
"I wanted to spar," Issei said. "I want to see if I can hold a candle against you."
"We can spar later when we start training. For now, you need to get some rest. The first time's always hard. Having a piece of your soul extracted from your body," Mitsuki said, putting her hands on her hips.
"Huh? Oh yeah…," Issei said.
"Besides, I don't want to spend all day at the base. I want to hang out and have dinner at home too," Mitsuki said, holding her hand out.
Issei grabbed it and pulled himself to his feet.
"Let's go home," Issei said.
"If I knew you were going to do this, I would've incinerated them, Sorin." A woman with bright-red hair and sulfuric yellow eyes sighed as she levitated in the air. The house around them was a mess. It looked as if a hurricane had torn through it. In front of her, a man with black hair and yellow eyes calmly enjoyed the food of the people that used to live here.
"Come on, Runeas. Lighten up. Sis needs to lighten up right, Mum?"
Runeas glanced over the Mum in question. Sitting next to Sorin was a woman in her 30s, mutilated beyond comprehension. The process of which this woman was flayed and cut open was something too horrendous, even for the worst of serial killers. Her lower jaw had been torn off, tongue freely hanging from the mouth. One of her eyes had been plucked out with great precision, allowing the viewer to peer into her skull. Her torso was brutally ripped open, ribs snapped apart and spread all over the floor. Several of her internal organs were missing and her small intestine was strewn across the floor while her large intestine prolapsed through her anus. The heart remained in place but one of her lungs was missing.
Sorin laughed as he shoved a spoonful of mash, knowing full well that it would fall on her lap.
"Stop playing with your food, Sorin, and let's finish what we came here to do," Runeas said, losing her patience.
"Fine, fine," Sorin said, standing up. He reached into her open chest cavity and grabbed the diaphragm, ripping it out. As he watched Runeas float over to two cowering children, he leaned on the mother's corpse and took a bite. "You know, Runeas. Human diaphragms always have a little kick to them."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Runeas's toxic yellow eyes gazed upon her targets.
A boy about the age of 10 with rustic red hair and a girl about the age of 7 with dull red hair. The older of the two clutched the girl tightly in his arms.
Runeas easily tore the girl from his arms and held her up.
"L- LILY!" The boy got up from his spot and ran towards her.
Runeas gave the boy a sideways glance which sent him flying into a wall. A telekinetic force pinned his arms and legs to the wall.
"Hmmm, Beelzebub was right. All it took was one for it to start a chain reaction. Everyone's going to be busy harvesting from their respective regions," Runeas said.
"So that means more free meals for us!" Sorin said.
"Let her go!" the boy yelled.
The little girl cried harder as Runeas brought her closer. "Hmmm… I don't know what ability she has. Oh well, once we put her in the camp, we'll find out."
"What about the boy?" Sorin asked.
"You can kill him," Runeas said.
Sorin licked his lips as he began walking over. Several blades made of water began to manifest around him. "Well, boyo. No hard feelings yeah?" he said.
"N- No! Alex! Leave him alone!" the girl yelled, struggling in Runeas's grip.
"Ohoho! Sorin, I think she wants to watch!" Runeas said. She held the girl out to watch as Sorin began inflicting small wounds on her brother.
The sounds of her brother screaming in agony reverberated inside her skull. She struggled even harder, screaming for it all to stop. Blood began to stain the walls and the curtains as the boy's screams got weaker and weaker.
"I think he's tuckered out. Well, that wasn't fun," Sorin said. He grabbed one of the water blades and pushed Alex's head back, revealing his throat. "Watch this little girl!"
The girl's eyes grew wide as blood splashed over her face. "N- No… Alex… No…" she began to sob.
"Did you really have to get her dirty?" Runeas asked.
"She's not that dirty," Sorin said. "Besides, if I cut off her brother's face and wear it, will she stop crying?"
"Alex…" the girl felt something snap inside her.
Lily! Run!
Lily! Listen to Mum! Run and don't look back.
They're gone… was the thought that kept replaying in her head. The flood gates were fully open and a power completely unknown to her began to saturate every molecule, every cell, every tissue, every muscle and organ until a wispy blue and black aura surrounded her body. Her eyes widened as her eyes turned blue and her sclera turned black.
"Oi, Runeas. Is that normal?" Sorin asked.
"Huh?" Runeas looked at the girl.
"Ahhhh!" the girl let out a blood-curdling scream.
Runeas dropped her on instinct, feeling herself begin to slow down.
L- LUCIFUGE!?
Lily's aura surged and shattered space around them, compressing it back to normal space. Time began warping inside the house. Various household items began to age rapidly while other things began to reverse age.
"Tch!" Runeas cut her arm off, which had begun to age rapidly. Pitch black smoke radiated off the stump where her arm was and reformed into a new arm.
Lily's demonic aura suddenly expanded rapidly before suddenly contracting in on itself, creating a vacuum with which all things were pulled in. Caught off guard, Runeas and Sorin found themselves being pulled. Tendrils of darkness manifested from their body and anchored them to their spots.
And before their very eyes, Lily's body collapsed in on itself and disappeared from sight.
After her disappearance, space and time returned to normal inside the household.
"Tch, damn," Runeas said, walking up to the empty spot. "She has Moon Dial! She has the Lucifuge Power and she got away!"
"Well, what's done is done. All we need to do is make up for the quota. Besides, one of us will find her eventually. Who knows, she might run into Apollyon," Sorin said. He opened his hand and dropped a small ball of red fire onto the carpet.
"Fine. Whatever, let's go find the next one," Runeas said. Her left eye began to glow and the two were sucked into a swirling smoky vortex.
That night, the neighbor from across the street reported a massive house fire.
Iris Dantalion
The original Dantalion and one of Lucifer's creations.
She calls herself a minor member of the 72. Having abandoned the world centuries ago due to the War, she and her descendants wandered the world, searching for knowledge.
Contracted to the French Catholic Saint, she has supported her friend's organization from the shadows since its inception centuries ago.

Blacklight
An ancient organization founded by the Catholic Saint, Jeanne D'Arc.
It was originally a ragtag group of monster hunters in Domremy-La Pucelle during the Hundred Years' War.
After her death, the organization retreated into the shadows and scattered across the world.
It defends the world from threats from the human world and the Moonlit World.
To Megar007: Not for a while and yes. The only reason Hades had Lilith was because Hades found her in Rizevim's lab as a broken husk from being forced to birth all of those Devils by Lucifer in canon.
To IsseixAtalanta777: Sure...? Also, no. I will kill Diodora and Freed in the most horrifying way possible. Freed and Diodora don't fit in a faction dedicated to protecting the planet. Ingvild was already a planned addition. Though, I do have to warn you that the harem won't really be the overall focus so if you came here looking for that, I'm going to have to disappoint you right now. It will exist and you'll know it does. It just won't be the main thing.
So a few things before I close the chapter. The Devil powers inherited by the children infused with Lilith's blood will still vary and not all of them are offensive abilities. Not all of the Devil Clans had offensive powers anyway. Second, no I will not include canon characters except for Issei and Ingvild in Blacklight. That's... kind of doing too much. They're all fine in their respective factions. Third, I don't have a third. I just added a third because I wanted to.
Anyway, remember to leave a review and I'll get to it whenever possible. And always remember to follow if you want more.
