"Well where have you two been? Oh no, no, no. Don't tell me. You were off saving the world. And who's this?" An old lady asks as the group drives up to her and her car.

"Nah just the city. We picked up a friend along the way." Chance says as the group gets out of the car.

"My name is Alexis. Sorry for the wait ma'am. Please don't be angry with me friends. They didn't mean to leave you." Alexis says kindly.

"But we brought you back a pizza. Hey hope you like tuna topping." Jake says as he gives the lady a pizza.

"What? No anchovies? Well hey this isn't too bad." The lady says as he takes a slice of pizza before the group gets back in the truck

"And 'cause we were so late we're gonna give your car three free tuneups." Chance says.

"You're so thoughtful." The lady says happily.

"And we'll have you back to the garage in no time flat." Chance says as he takes a bumpy road.

"Aw Chance! Not the shortcut!" Jake shouts.

"Couldn't we just stick to the main road!?" Alexis asks.

*Timeskip*

"Thanks Alexis for coming with us earlier." Jake says as the group arrive back at the junkyard and go inside.

"Yeah. Sorry we didn't get the chance to drop you off back home." Chance says.

"You're welcome." Alexis says as she goes to leave only for Jake to grab her hand.

"Hey hold on. Aren't you gonna talk to us?" Jake asks hurt.

"Jake I don't know if I can trust the two of you. Please let go of my hand." Alexis says as she doesn't look at Jake.

"No can do. We're not letting you leave. Least not yet. I know you have questions for us just like we got a few for you." Chance says.

"Yeah. For starters how long have you been able to do what you did and why did you go by that disguise?" Jake asks.

"We also want to know why you came for us. You were put in danger because of us." Chance says.

"I've been able to do it since I was little. It's abilities I was born with. My disguise is just so I can run around without worry of Feral." Alexis says.

"Can't argue with you there. That's why we go by what we do." Chance says.

"And the reason I came is because... it's because you are still my friends. You guys were always there for me. I knew I could always count on you. I just couldn't stand by. I wanted to make sure you were safe. I care about you both too much to do nothing. It's why it hurt so much when I saw you are the Swat Kats." Alexis says as Jake lets go of her hand.

"I guess you're planning on telling everyone aren't you? The journal and all?" Jake asks hurt.

"I may be mad at you two for lying to me about something like that but I would never do that to you. I know what Feral would do if he found out. So I trashed that journal. I honestly don't want to think about that anymore. I don't really know what to think about this. In one hand I'm angry..." Alexis says as she looks down.

"And on the other?" Jake asks.

"I'm scared to death I'll loose the two of you and I'm even more scared I won't be there to help you. I lost my family and everyone I cared about once. I don't want that to happen again." Alexis says.

"And it won't. We promise." Jake says as she smiles at Alexis before going inside.

"Look Jake and I were talking and well... We were wondering if you'd want to be a Swat Kat with us." Chance says as he rubs the back of his neck.

"Huh?" Alexis asks in surprise.

"Look you can stay angry at us for as long as you want. We know that will take some time to get over considering that was a pretty big secret we kept from you. But seeing how you've handled yourself and what you can do we think you'd make a great addition to the team. This is just if you want to. We won't force you. We know you're mad and probably don't want to but we'd love it if you would." Chance says.

"You're not mad at me?" Alexis asks in surprise.

"No. Of course not. It was honestly great fighting beside you. Besides having a hot girl like you with us would be a nice change of pace." Chance says as he smiles causing Alexis to blush.

"Oh um is that all?" Alexis asks nervously.

"Actually no. I have another question. It's more a personal question ive been wanting to ask you for a while." Chance says shyly.

"What is it?" Alexis asks nervously.

"I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend. I both really like you. Have for a long while." Chance says as he blushes.

"You have?" Alexis asks in surprise.

"Of course. I love you. It's part of the reason I never told you. I wanted to keep you safe. But I see now you can handle yourself really well. I want nothing more than for you to be with us and to fight beside us. Especially me. It would mean the world to me. So what do you say? Wanna join us? You could live here with us too." Chance says.

"You are sure about both things?" Alexis asks unsurely.

"More sure than we ever been. Do you want to?" Chance says.

"Yes I'd love to. But don't you ever lie to me like that again. Or I will leave you out in the cold for a week." Alexis says as Chance chuckles.

"Trust me I won't. I know better than to make you angry. But you're pretty beautiful when you're angry." Chance says as he kisses Alexis and pulls away leaving Alexis blushing.
