A/N: Got this idea after seeing a particular thing, on a particular site involving Cody and Juri. If you know, you know. Kinda odd but hey, this's a fanfic AU story. Plus, considering some of the wild things that have come out in official SF stuff in the past. The SF universe has always run on its own unique sliding scale of crazy. This whole thing isn't that high on the list of odd things to me. On to the story!
Chapter One: Web of Surprises
A man of decent height and a muscular build made his way through the ghetto of Metro City. He had escaped from prison some time ago and still wore his prison jumpsuit and handcuffs with a long chain, to show that. He reached with a hand and scratched his messy blond hair. Then gave a quick scratch on his chin stubble.
Cody Travers was his name and was currently wondering what he wanted to do after his latest escape. Things were surprisingly quiet for once, hence his boredom. He opened the door to the place he found not long after his escape. It wasn't much at all, but it worked for him for the time being. Walking in he turned his back to the inside of the place as he closed the door. Hitting the light switch as he finished doing so.
"Good to see you finally show back up Cody." A female voice spoke up coyly with a somewhat dark tone. Akin to how a predator would address their prey before they struck.
Cody stiffened up and a cold chill ran down his spine. He knew that voice, frankly, he hoped he would never have to hear it again. He wasn't a coward, but he would admit, the woman addressing him. Scared the absolute shit out of him. It had been close to a year since he had last encountered her. He never told anyone what had happened. It was a secret he planned to take to his grave. Guess she finally decided to come to finish him after he managed to escape while the getting was good during their last meeting. Well, if that was the case even if his chances of winning were low. He would fight with all he could before he went down.
Cody steeled his nerves and turned around steadily and cautiously. There she was, sitting lazily in the large crappy reclining chair the place had. Wearing her purple dudou with all the straps that made a spider pattern. Long baggy, off-white colored sweatpants and purple tights, and long, fingerless gloves. Her black hair was styled up into two horns with pink ribbons. Along with taekwondo foot wraps on her feet.
Juri Han, the spider, someone arguably the most wanted person in the world after Bison. The woman was well known for her sadistic, brutal cruelty. Along with having a twisted unsettling sexual edge to it all as well. Cody for his part was familiar with all of that, unfortunately.
"Here I thought I was lucky, and you had forgotten all about me? I guess that was naïve thinking on my part. You're not really known for letting people you focus on, getting away from you, and if they do. You generally don't let them out of your grasp for long. Finally found enough free time in your schedule to come kill me?" Cody spoke accusingly toward the Korean femme fatale.
Juri just smirked and let out a low chuckle of amusement. "I have been occupied because of certain things. Now though, everything has lined up for me to come for you."
"Oh?" The jailbird replied "Someone by chance hire you to kill me then? I can think of a few who have the cash and desire. To hire someone of your caliber to do me in, if they wanted me dead that badly."
Juri just smiled in cruel amusement at his accusation. "You're in luck Cody this's purely personal business. Also, I'm not here to kill you so relax."
"Forgive me, if I don't quite trust what you're saying."
Juri simply shrugged in indifference to his reply. "Believe what you will, but once I show you what I have with me. You'll be quickly changing your tune."
Cody watched carefully as Juri calmly stood up and moved behind the recliner. Slightly leaning over and gently picking something up. As she walked back out from behind the furniture, she was now holding some kind of carrier. She carefully set it down in the center of the floor for him to clearly see. He looked closely for a moment and noticed something bundled up and nestled in it. Taking another moment to examine the bundle, it suddenly hit him. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped in surprise.
"Is that…is that what I think it is?" Cody said in near disbelief.
"Yep, it's exactly what you think it is." Juri calmly replied, "It's a baby, our baby to be more accurate."
"Holy shit"
"Pretty much my reaction when I found out you had knocked me up."
"I almost don't believe it," Cody spoke still trying to fully comprehend this sudden situation.
"It's not that hard to believe. After all, during our little encounter, you creamed me thoroughly." Juri nodded her head towards the sleeping infant. "That's what happens when you do that sort of thing to a girl."
Cody was still in total shock, but his mind was finally starting to properly process the situation in front of him. He was suddenly a father now; he had a kid. Said child's mother just happened to be the most wanted woman in the world too. Was he really ok with this though? This kid had been conceived under less than ideal circumstances after all. However, any notion that entered his mind about putting the kid into an orphanage or something like that. Was quickly stomped out and made non-existent. No way he could do that, it wouldn't be fair to the kid in the slightest. Children don't have a choice in who their parents are or how they come to be. As wild as it all was, he knew what he had to do.
"What's the kid's name?" Cody suddenly asked.
"Junsu is his name, Junsu Travers." Juri replied "He should have your surname, it's safer that way. Though I wanted his given name to be Korean to note the side of his heritage he gets from me."
"A son… I have a son." Cody Murmured to himself as finally relaxed a little and stepped forward. Stopping in front of the infant and dropping to a knee to get a better look. Junsu had black hair like his mom and her skin tone, his eyes fluttered open briefly in a tired manner before closing again and staying that way. In that brief moment, Cody saw his eyes were the same shade of purple as Juri's. Junsu defiantly took mostly after his mom in the looks department.
"I'm going to take a guess and say that you're here to leave him with me?" Cody asked even though he was certain what the answer already was.
Juri looked at Cody, her usual playfulness gone. Instead, there was a look of complete seriousness. "Yeah, that's right, after all, I can't raise a kid doing what I do. Nor can I simply stay here with you to help raise him. It's far too dangerous, I took a lot of precautions to keep hidden I was pregnant from everyone else. Hell after I gave birth, I even killed the doctor that helped to ensure that secret stayed safe. You're literally the only person in the world who knows that I'm Junsu's mother. If word gets out about me having a kid, some people would love to get a hold of him. And I don't just mean Chun-Li and her bosses at Interpol, but people of a much worse nature."
Cody sucked in a breath before saying a single word in a low hiss. "Bison"
"Yeah, that bastard." Juri retorted with noticeable venom in her voice.
"I get it Juri," Cody replied standing back up. "I might have never had to deal with the underworld of the globe in the manner you have. But I know enough to understand what you're getting at. This might not be how I ever thought I'd become a father but regardless of how this all came to be. Junsu is my son as much as he is yours. I'll do what I have to do to see that he grows up happy and safe."
Juri looked at Cody for a moment before a small smile graced her face. Not her usual one either when she was dominating over someone. It was a genuine normal smile. She went back behind the recliner before coming back with an item in each hand. A large folder in one hand and an average-sized briefcase in the other.
"This has all the needed documentation and so on you'll need for Junsu," Juri explained holding up the folder before setting it on the recliner. "No one will be able to question the authenticity of the documents and this." Juri held up the briefcase. "There's a quarter of a million in unmarked bills in here. That way you can get out of this crap hole too something decent and have plenty left over. I know you've enough street smarts to use this without attracting serious suspicion." Juri finished as she set the case down on the floor.
"No better time than now I suppose to finally get my crap together." Cody mildly joked.
Juri merely nodded before an indecipherable expression made its way on her face. "Then it's time for me to go." She said in a somber tone, which Cody couldn't help but find odd since it came from her. Juri ignored Travers for the moment and walked over to the still sleeping Junsu and gently dropped to her knees.
Cody simply watched as he saw Juri reach out with a hand and gently rub her thumb affectionately across the infant's forehead. She then leaned in close and whispered something in Korean. He didn't know the language, so he had no idea what she said. Though from the sad tone of it, she was making her final good-byes of sorts. He didn't say anything, but it was really weird seeing Juri act like this. Knowing all too well how she tends to act usually. Though he did remember Haggar once mentioning to him. Parents will generally act differently around their children than they do around others. Guess there was truth to what he said after all.
Juri stood back up, turned on her heel, and headed for the door. As she grabbed the doorknob and prepared to open it. She paused, turned her head stared at Junsu again. "Even though I can't be here," she said keeping her eyes focused on her child. "Whenever it's safe to I'll do what I can. Even if it's something just as simple as sending a gift."
Cody simply gave a nod of his head. He wasn't sure if she noticed but he figured it didn't really matter. Juri then looked away, opened the door, and left. Closing it as she walked out and just like that she was gone.
Cody let out a deep breath, tonight had gone in a way he had never thought possible. It was what it was, he had no time to waste. He suddenly had plenty of places to be and people he needed to talk to. He looked down at his son as he still slept soundly.
XxX
Cody let out a slight grunt as he stood up from his chair for the first time in hours after finishing his work. Being the mayor of Metro City kept one pretty busy, the damnable paperwork seemed never-ending. Striding over to the window of his office dressed in his business attire and his hair now neatly groomed, his face clean-shaven. Looking at the city as everything went about in it during the spring day. A lot had changed since that day roughly fifteen years ago.
He used the money Juri had given him to buy a decent but modest place in the city that would work for him and his son. Not to mention buying all the stuff needed to ensure Junsu had what he needed. Of course, he soon had to deal with an old acquaintance's checking in on him. Those mainly being Guy and then Mayor of Metro City Mike Haggar. Both had come to check in on him once word had reached them, that Cody was finally picking his life back up. Both were quite surprised when they discovered the former jailbird had an infant son.
Naturally, they both questioned who the mother was and how everything came to be. Cody simply brushed them off not giving away who Junsu's mother was. By saying the mother was simply "gone" now and that how his son came to be wasn't important at the moment. His main concern was simply getting himself on the right track so he could be the best father he was able to be. He also explained all the cash was an emergency fund he had been steadily building in secret over the years. Guy and Haggar were still a little suspicious about his story but seeing how determined to turn himself around he was. As well as his seriousness in raising his son. The two decided the drop the matter for now and offered to help how they could.
Haggar was a huge help when it came to giving parental advice having been a father himself for a long time. Guy meanwhile offered to help how he could when time allowed it. Even Jessica showed up after hearing about everything despite the bad breakup between them. She and Cody had managed to repair their relationship eventually enough to be friends. Jessica also offered her help with Junsu; she found the child rather adorable.
After some years and completely cleaning his act up, he began working under Haggar as his protégé of sorts. When it came to the manner of managing things in Metro City. When Haggar finally retired for good, Cody became his successor as mayor of the city. That was five years ago, and Metro City was flourishing better than ever under Cody's leadership as Mayor. Sure there were still some problems here and there but that was expected. Compared to what Metro used to be like, it was a complete change in direction. Cody wasn't the only one who managed to change for the better too.
He learned that a few former members of the Mad Gear Gang had gone legit as well. Those being Poison, Roxy, and a few others as well. He wasn't completely sure at first, but after keeping a close eye on them for some time. He accepted they were completely honest in their desire. Apparently, things were run mainly by Poison and Roxy acting as promoters/managers for wrestling events and such. With other members acting in the more physical roles. Though the two would compete themselves from time to time.
Eventually, he decided to check out one of the wrestling shows. He bought full access passes and brought Junsu with him. He figured it would make for good father/son bonding. His son at the time was just barely five years old. It was a great time and when the two ran into the former Mad Gears it was interesting. Roxy and Poison especially were surprised to see him. Then they saw and asked about Junsu and Cody explained he was his son.
Immediately both women seemingly forgot all about him and swarmed Junsu. Both cooing over the small boy about how cute he was. Junsu in his childhood innocence simply looked up at his father and asked. "How did he know the two pretty ladies?" Cody somewhat awkwardly explained that they were people he knew back before he was born. Poison and Roxy both became even more enamored with Junsu after his comment. So much so that the two hugged him simultaneously. Junsu for his part didn't quite understand what was going on being a small child still. Though he did understand enough to know. He liked being hugged by the two pretty ladies.
After that Cody and Junsu continued going to shows. Eventually, Cody and the former Mad Gears let the past be water under the bridge so to speak. They all wound up becoming legitimate friends with one another. That and Junsu had become a bit attached to them. He even referred to them as his "aunts and uncles" as he did Haggar, Guy, and Jessica. Poison and Roxy both wound up stating that if Junsu ever wanted in the wrestling business when he was older. They would happily be his promoters/managers.
Thinking about his son more, he was quite proud of the young man Junsu was growing up to be. While his taking after Juri in the looks department became more prominent as he got older. When it came to personality, he had the same laidback and fun-loving persona he had in his younger years and the snark to go with it. Though he did have a mischievousness to him as well. Not in a harmful way but rather in a playful kind of sense. Junsu was as sharp in the head as they came. He did very well in school even learning Korean as a second language. Something Junsu felt was important for him to learn.
Unsurprisingly considering his parentage, his son quickly displayed a love of martial arts practically as soon as he could walk and talk. He practically begged his father to sign him up for lessons. Cody was happy to do so, he was a street brawler by nature. If his son was going to learn to fight, he would benefit from a more proper style. Plus, he was too busy with work to make the spare time needed to teach. Though, he felt a slight sense of trepidation when Junsu told him what fighting style he wanted to learn.
He wanted to be a practitioner of taekwondo, just like Juri.
In hindsight, he should've known that his son would be drawn to that style of martial arts. In the end, he couldn't say no, and he found a respected dojo in the city. It was run by a well-built man of average height with black hair that was starting to grey by the name of Daewon Ha. He was a kind, honorable, and disciplined man who was born and raised in Metro City. His dojo had originally been run by his father until he eventually took his place. He didn't have many students since his training while fair was also quite tough. With many having difficulty keeping pace and ultimately falling out. This didn't deter Junsu in the slightest and eagerly applied himself to learning taekwondo.
Junsu took to the art like fish to water. He excelled in all the aspects of his training and quickly moved up. Outpacing everyone in his age group and even as he grew older and bigger. He outdid older and more experienced fighters winning all sorts of competitions and awards over the years. Cody read on a few internet articles, that some were hailing him as the most prodigious taekwondo fighter. Ironically enough since Juri herself. He chuckled in amusement the first time he read that, if only they knew the truth. Thankfully no one else did and he aimed to keep it that way.
Speaking of Juri, she kept to her word. As far as he was aware, she hadn't stepped foot near him or Junsu since that day. Though she did always manage to send birthday gifts to Junsu via fake names and random addresses to ensure they couldn't be traced to her in any way. Cody would always get the packages first and then give the gift inside with a card attached to Junsu.
While his son wound up becoming kind of suspicious of these random gifts as he got older. That came to him every birthday, but he ultimately decided. The matter wasn't worth trying to press and just accepted the gifts for what they were. It probably helped the gifts always wound up being one his favorite things he would receive for his birthday.
Speaking of birthdays, it was May 26, his son's fifteenth birthday. It was crazy to think his son was only a few years shy of being an adult. He then heard his office door open, and a voice called out to him.
"Hey, dad!"
XxX
"Hey, dad!" Junsu Travers announced as he walked into his dad's office. He was 168 cm tall and his black hair reached down just past his ears. With bangs framing his face and a few strands hanging down the middle. Years of constant martial arts training gave him a strong and lean build. His muscles weren't huge, but they were noticeable all the same. He could hit hard, but his body was built more for speed, agility, acrobatic, and flexibility. It all gave him something of an androgynous appearance.
He was dressed in urban camouflage cargo pants with a black canvas belt, all black Nike air force 1s. Along with a sleeveless slim-fit zip-up hoodie jacket that was black with white along the edges with a purple t-shirt underneath that fit snugly to his frame.
"Everything all set?" The teen asked his father.
Cody smiled back before answering. "I finished all the work I needed to for the day. However, before we set out, I have something to give you right now."
"Oh?" Junsu replied in curiosity "Let me guess, it's my yearly mystery birthday gift?"
Cody chuckled in amusement as he reached for something behind his desk and pulled out a plain box with a card on top. Junsu walked over and picked up the card. It was a plain white card with a simple message much like the previous years.
I think you'll get a lot of use out of these. Happy Birthday.
-JH
JH, Junsu always wondered who this mysterious person was. Much like how he wondered who his mother was. He wondered if this JH person was in fact his mother or someone who had been close to her. He had tried asking his father a few times who his mother was. But he always became quiet and got a weird look on his face. What happened exactly between them? Was she even alive? Junsu didn't claim to be the smartest in the world, but he wasn't an idiot either. Something weird had gone down, whatever it was. As much as he wanted an answer about his mom. He wasn't going to try to force an answer in some way out of him. He loved and respected his father too much to do that sort of thing.
Putting the card down, he then opened the box and his eyes widened.
Sitting inside the box was a brand new set of fingerless fighting gloves. They were long and colored black with purple. Not to mention they were of the highest quality these were not cheap in the slightest. With excitement, he slipped them on and adjusted them. Taking a few steps back and threw some punches to get a feel for them. A wide grin spread across his face; these were perfect.
"I'm never taking these off." The purple-eyed teen spoke in excitement. "I wish I knew who sends me these gifts. I liked to properly thank them."
Cody was quiet for a moment before answering. "Don't worry about it, we should get going for the party." Changing the topic of things.
"Sounds good to me," Junsu replied knowing what his father was doing but choosing to just roll with it.
After hopping into the car Junsu and his dad made their way to the party. It was being at a place where the former Mad Gears used to get together when they had down time. Walking in the place was spacious and it had been stocked with all sorts of stuff. A pool table, pinball machine, and a few arcade cabinets. A lounge area with a large flat screen tv with all the channels you could want along with the latest video game consoles. With a top-tier stereo system that was wired throughout the entire place. It even had a decent-sized but simple kitchen-like area and an outdoor lounge area in the back.
Junsu barely got a few steps inside when a couple yells of excitement reached his ears. He knew what coming but didn't bother trying to avoid it. He gasp when someone practically slammed him on his left and then again when someone did it on his right. The two then hugged him together.
"You're here!" Poison and Roxy exclaimed in unison.
"Hello aunt Poison, hello aunt Roxy." The teen managed to get out while being practically squeezed to death. Thankfully, the two then untangled themselves from him.
"Damn, puberty is really doing wonders for you." Roxy mused "You're really growing into a strong young adult."
"Cute too," Poison chimed in "though you do have all the potential to be even cuter."
"While I'm sure I could aunt Poison, I'm perfectly happy as I am." Junsu retorted
Poison sighed and shook her head. Though it was all clearly being done jokingly. "Shame, you'd make for such a pretty woman, just like how I wound up becoming."
"If I ever decided to make that switch, you'll be the first to know."
"Deal!"
"Alright you two, let him meet up with everyone else before you try to steal him for the rest of the night." Cody cut in.
"Cody!" Poison exclaimed as she made her way toward the current mayor.
Junsu snickered a little as did Roxy. When they watched his father give an audible sigh as Poison made her move on his dad once more. Even after all this time, she refused to give up her crusade on winning him over. He and Roxy found it all to be very amusing. Turning to look at everyone else in attendance. He saw Haggar, Jessica, Guy, Hugo, Marlowe, Lucia, and some more. He smiled seeing so many of the people he cared about. It was going to be a fun time.
XxX
Junsu awoke with a yawn the next morning. The party had gone for a good while with all the food, games, presents and so on. He and his dad didn't get back until it was rather late. He looked at his clock, it was about ten in the morning. Thankfully it was a Saturday, it was a rest day from training. His dad was no doubt already at his office. The job of being mayor of Metro City never truly stopped. His aunt's Poison, Roxy, and their crew were working today. All the others were no doubt busy with their own stuff too.
Giving it some thought he remembered, that he received some pretty good pocket change for his birthday. Not to mention his dad gave him a decent allowance for doing good in school. Then an idea hit him, there was the city arcade. They should've gotten some new games recently. Now that was a plan. He got up, showered, and put on clean clothes like the ones he wore the night before. What could he say he really liked that ensemble? Though now it had the permanent addition of his new gloves. Out of everything he got yesterday, the gloves were still his favorite. Plus, he thought they went with the rest of the outfit rather nicely. After eating a quick breakfast he was out the door.
Now while his dad had a car, Junsu knew how to get around the city pretty well on foot. Having lived in it his whole life, he was aware of pretty much all the shortcuts the city had to offer. He also had a knack for whenever he took a route, he never forgot it. Knowing exactly what paths to take he'd be at his destination in no time. Traveling his route, he was nearly there, he turned into an alley as a shortcut. He passed the various locked doors that led to the various rooms they were connected to. A few security cameras here and there, to deter potential theives and such. He got about halfway down passing a sleeping homeless guy using and large trench coat for a blanket as he did. Then suddenly a group of three thugs popped up in front of him from behind a dumpster. They were large with tacky gang tattoos, street cloths, and gaudy jewelry. They were obviously the dime a dozen brutish with no technique kind of guys.
Junsu let out a slight growl of annoyance, he didn't want to have to deal with this crap. Sadly, it didn't look like he was going to be given a choice in the matter. He couldn't help but quickly wonder if this was how his dad felt in his younger days. When thugs like this were a lot more prominent and his dad practically beat them up regularly.
"What's the rush girly?" The apparent lead thug questioned.
Junsu's eyebrow twitched at the comment, not his fault he looked how he did, he was born this way dammit!
"I'm a guy dumbass." The Korean-American teen snarked in return.
"You're a pretty one then."
"I'd rather look like this than what you do. Cause you look like you got hit with the fuck ugly stick repeatedly."
"You little shit!" The brute roared in anger charging forward cocking a fist back. Pretty much telegraphing his attack as visible as the sun in the sky.
Junsu was perfectly calm as his opponent came near. Once the thug got close enough, he struck. Faster than the brute could track, he shot a kick that connected to his enemy's gut. Knocking the air out of him and stopping him in his tracks. Before he had any time to comprehend what was happening. Junsu moved forward and jumped with a raised knee as he did. Connecting harshly to the bottom jaw, the thug fell backward to the ground. While in the air he saw the other two thugs closing in.
The closest was on his right, Junsu shot a foot out quickly and hit him squarely in the side of the face. He could feel the thug's jaw break against his foot. Using that momentum he used his foot still planted on the one guy's face as a springboard towards the other. The maneuver caught the last guy by surprise. Junsu snaked a leg around his head while continuing his momentum. He threw his body forward and down taking the guy clean off his feet. Releasing his hold as he did, the thug a flew short distance and slammed into the alley wall, and fell to the ground.
Junsu caught himself with his palms and then pushed off the ground. Going backward in the air a short distance before landing on his feet. Just in front of somehow still sleeping, homeless guy. He hadn't even broken a sweat kicking their asses. All his opponents were out cold on the ground.
"Welp, no point in sticking around h- AHHH!" Junsu suddenly yelled as he felt a painful shock course through his body. He fell to the ground, against his will breathing heavily. He looked behind him and saw that the homeless guy wasn't what he seemed. He was actually with the thugs as some sort of hidden back up and he was holding a high-powered stun gun. If he wasn't in pain and pissed off currently he'd probably be a bit impressed by the ruse. He tried to move but the effects of the previous stun made him sluggish. The thug shocked him again and he howled in pain.
"Who would have thought some punk kid would be so tough?" The thug sneered "I'm gonna hurt you really good for what you did to my pals before I take everything of worth off of you." Then he shocked the teen again.
Junsu cried in pain again as he was repeatedly shocked, the constant pain and electrocuting preventing him from moving properly. He wasn't sure what happened next, he felt his anger bubble up in a way he never felt before in his life. Not to mention a huge desire to cause the one responsible pain. To inflict all the pain he was inflicting on him and more. These sensations built more and more and more until something gave way in his mind. Everything around suddenly faded to a mixture of black, red, and purple.
Junsu suddenly regained consciousness, oddly enough he was somehow on his feet but still in the alley. He was breathing heavily, and his body was covered in a fresh sheen of sweat. Still completely confused he glanced down and was horrified by the sight. The thug that had been shocking him was an unrecognizable mess. An arm was twisted and mangled. One of his kneecaps looked completely shattered and his face was swollen, black, blue, and bloody. The only indication that the guy was even alive was the rising and fall of his chest. What the actual hell just happened? he looked around some more and noticed one of the other thugs was awake.
He was looking at him with a petrified expression. "What the hell are you!?" The terrified man yelled in fear. "One moment you were on the ground in pain! The next you were brutalizing Tommy while grinning like a demon! Your left eye was glowing and you were acting like a psychopath."
Junsu didn't know what to think. He was freaked out and scared, scared of himself. He was so confused he, had no idea what was going on with himself. Then an idea popped into his head, his father. He had to go to his father right away if anyone had any idea it was him. He quickly took towards the mayor's office, though it was on the opposite side of the city from his current position. Even with his knowledge of the city's layout, it would take a while.
XxX
Sitting at a desk inside one of the American east coast branches of Interpol going over potential leads and so on was Chun-Li. She was searching for clues about her most elusive and arguably most dangerous target ever in her career, Juri Han. The woman was infuriatingly good at what she did. Appearing quickly and then disappearing practically just as quickly without a trace. She used all the resources at her disposal trying to find any kind of lead on the assassin's whereabouts.
"Chun-Li!" Someone yelled out in a rush as they approached.
Looking at her fellow Interpol officer she could tell right away something big was going on.
"Johnathan, what's happening!? Did we find something solid on Juri!?" She asked seeing the laptop he was carrying.
"Not exactly," Johnathan replied, he was a younger agent, decent height, in shape, with light tan skin, green eyes, with blond hair done in a taper haircut that was brushed up. "But we just got footage from a security camera in Metro City. The person of interest isn't Juri herself though you're still going to be very interested all the same." Johnathan explained setting the laptop in front of Chun-Li the video ready to play. It had no audio which was to be expected but the video quality was surprisingly good.
Chun-Li watched the video as a teenage boy was making their way down an alley. The teen looked unnervingly like a male version of Juri. He was suddenly being confronted by some thugs. Words were exchanged most likely insults, and the fight if you could even call it one was quickly finished. The teen showed exceptional talent in what she recognized as taekwondo. From the few moves, he displayed to take down his opponents. An uneasy feeling crept steadily up her spine. The boy was sneak attacked and caught off guard by a disguised thug with a stun gun. The thug continued to shock the poor teen for the fun of it. Then the boy suddenly stopped reacting at all even though he was still awake.
Her breath caught in her throat from what she saw next. The teenager suddenly shot a leg out that shattered the attacker's kneecap. The thug fell to the ground in agony and the boy stood back up, but he was different. A sadistic smirk adorned his face, a twisted gleam in his eyes as his left eye began to literally glow purple. The man in desperation tried attacking with the stun gun but the arm was caught by a leg and was quickly broken leaving it a mangled mess. The boy mercilessly began beating the person's face in, with the expression of someone who was clearly enjoying the pain they were causing. Then it all ceased, the boy snapped out of his state and suddenly returned to normal. The teen was horrified by what he had done, without even realizing what he had been doing. The video ended once the teen quickly ran away, clearly distraught by what had transpired.
Chun-li was completely shocked by what she had seen. Before this, she only knew one person. Who displayed similar actions in such a similar manner.
Juri Han
"Who is he?" Chun-Li quickly asked.
"His name is Junsu Travers, Korean-American just turned fifteen and considered a taekwondo prodigy not seen since Juri herself. His father is Cody Travers the current mayor of Metro City." Johnathan answered, "Before you ask, his mother is unknown."
Chun-Li almost couldn't believe this, but her intuition was screaming at her. There was no denying or mistaking what all of this meant. She quickly stood up and gathered her things.
"Send a message to the higher-ups about this and tell them to send proper backup. I'm taking the helicopter that way I can be in Metro City within the hour. How old is this footage?" The veteran Interpol officer stated.
"Roughly thirty to forty minutes at the most, what are you planning to do exactly Chun-Li?"
"I'm going to question both Cody Travers and Junsu Travers about Juri. As well as bring Junsu back to HQ. He'll be better off under our direct watch until further notice considering everything. Hopefully, I'll be able to get this done peacefully but I want that backup sent my way just to be safe. This might turn out to be our best lead in finding Juri we may ever get for who knows how long. That boy is Juri Han's son, there's no doubt about it." Chun-Li finished saying before quickly making her way to the helipad.
