Percy had a plan. Rachel had helped him set everything up. Tonight would be perfect...

Percy saw Annabeth near the Athena cabin. She stood there in her jean shorts and orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt. It had been a few weeks since they had visited camp so she was catching up with some of her younger siblings.

The sun was just now setting and soon everyone would be heading to the campfire - where Percy's big plan would be set into motion.

He took a deep breath and frantically ran over to Annabeth.

"Hey! Come quick! Rachel says she's seeing something important!" Percy ran a hand through his hair and grabbed her hand with the other.

"What? I thought prophecies were being weird again?" Annabeth commented skeptically.

It was true. Prophetic devices were once again messed up. There truly was no escape from the madness for Percy and Annabeth.

"I don't know but it's probably something to do with us, like always," Percy replied bitterly, thinking back on the many, many times he and his friends were dragged into prophecies and quests. "Let's just go before Rachel forgets it."

Annabeth complied begrudgingly and allowed Percy to drag her from her cabin to the campfire by which Rachel Elizabeth Dare was seated. Rachel had her head in her hands.

"Rachel? Rachel, are you okay?" Annabeth asked the redhead.

Good, Pervy thought. She's buying it. Rachel was truly a good actress.

"What did you see?" Percy asked from behind Annabeth. Everything was working out.

Rachel looked up at Annabeth. "I... I see a man with... with dark hair. He has... he's tall. And is holding a small velvet box...?"

Annabeth felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Percy. Gray eyes meet sea green and Percy lowered himself onto one knee. Annabeth smiled down at him.

"Annabeth Chase," Percy began, popping open the ring box to reveal a gorgeous silver and rose gold ring. "You are brilliant and beautiful. You are strong and kind. You are brave and strategic. You have seen me at my best and worst and I've seen you at yours. I love you more than everything in this crazy messed-up world that we live in. Including blue food. Will you fulfill this prophecy and marry me?"

"Well now I'm kind of obligated to, aren't I?" Annabeth smirked. "Seeing as avoiding prophecies always turns out for the worse."

"Can't you just say 'yes', Wise Girl?" Percy teased with a grin on his face.

"Sure can, Seaweed Brain."

"Then say it." Now Percy was smirking.

"Fine. Yes. Yes, I'll marry you." The campers erupted into shouts of congratulations and excitement as Percy slid the ring onto Annabeth's finger and engulfed her in a hug. They both pulled back from the hug for a kiss. It felt just as magical as their underwater kiss so long ago.

Later that night after all the campers had gone to bed, Percy and Annabeth sat by the dying fire.

"You know," Annabeth started. "I always thought I'd like to get engaged here." She gestured to the camp.

"Yeah?" Percy replied. "It will always be my home away from home."

"It will always be my home," Annabeth said quietly. She leaned into Percy's side and slid her hand into his. He mindlessly fidgeted with the ring now on her finger.

Percy planted a kiss on the top of her head. "Crazy idea..."

"What?"

"What if..." Percy trailed off. "What if we had the wedding here? Surrounded by the place and people we love the most?"

"Why would that be so crazy?" Annabeth sat up a little only to have Percy pull her back to the cuddle.

"I guess it wouldn't."

They sat in silence for a little while, taking in the last light of the fire and the soothing sounds of nature.

"The next chapter of our life is about to begin, Jackson," Annabeth giggled. "And you're stuck with me forever now."

"There are worse people to be stuck with." Percy chuckled and placed another kiss on her lips. "I love you, Wise Girl."

"Love you too, Seaweed Brain.
