Chapter One: Past Friendships
A/N: This is set when Alexis and Ty Lee are 8 years old.
"Look at her. She's such a freak." A boy says as Alexis is sitting in human form with two boys having her cornered between them and a tree.
"What kind of human has the ability to turn into a mutt? You don't even proudly display your nation's colors." The other boy says.
"Leave me alone." Alexis says.
"Aww look. She's tearing up." One of the boys says as Alexis begins tearing up.
"What a loser!" The other boy shouts as he laughs.
"Ah!" Alexis says as the two boys kick at her.
"Leave her alone!" A voice shouts angrily.
"Says who?" The boy asks.
"Says me. Now beat it." The voice says revealing to be a girl in pink
"Or what cutie?" A boy says as she smiles at the girl.
"Or this." The girl says as she attacks the boy sending him to the ground.
"Why you!" The other boy shouts as he goes to attack the girl only for her to hit him sending him to the ground motionless.
"Stay away from me." Alexis says fearfully as the girl kneels down beside her.
"It's okay. I won't hurt you. Come on. Let's get you out of here." The girl says as she helps Alexis up and walks off with her.
*Timeskip*
"I still can't believe those jerks treated you that way." The girl says as she and Alexis are sitting inside a tent.
"It's okay. I'm not exactly well liked by anyone." Alexis says as she looks down.
"Why? You seem pretty nice to me." The girl says happily.
"You did see that I could turn into a wolf right?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. I also saw you could bend other elements. I saw you do that the other day by yourself. I don't believe you're the avatar cause I heard they can only bend the four elements. But you being able to do something similiar is really cool. And by the way I like your colors. They're unique." The girl says happily.
"Really?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. Anyway my name is Ty Lee." The girl says as she smiles causing Alexis to smile slightly.
"Alexis. How did you do that fighting thing earlier?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Oh that's chi blocking. I've taught myself how to do it." Ty Lee says proudly.
"That's pretty cool." Alexis says happily.
"You think so?" Ty Lee asks as Alexis nods.
"Yeah." Alexis says shyly.
"Well I could teach you if you'd like." Ty Lee says.
"That would be nice." Alexis says as she blushes slightly.
*Timeskip 5 Years Later (Both are now 13)*
"I really wish you weren't leaving Alexis." Ty Lee says as she is standing outside of a tent with Alexis.
"I know but I really need to head off on my own Ty Lee." Alexis says as she is holding a back of her things.
"I know you do. I'm gonna miss you. You're my best friend. Apart from Azula and Mai but you're much closer to me than they are." Ty Lee says as she smiles at Alexis.
"I'll miss you too. I wish you could come along." Alexis says.
"I do too but you know my calling is with the circus." Ty Lee says.
"I know it is. Just be careful." Alexis says as she smiles at Ty Lee.
"I will. You be careful too. I don't know what I'd do without you." Ty Lee says as she hugs Alexis before Alexis hugs her back.
"Me either. But we'll see each other again. I promise you that." Alexis says before she pulls away from Ty Lee.
"I'm gonna hold you to that promise." Ty Lee says as Alexis chuckles.
"I wouldn't have it any other way. Bye Ty Lee and take care of yourself." Alexis says.
"You as well. Good luck." Ty Lee says as Alexis leaves.
