Chapter 20: Direction

As the Dirty Delinquents took over the stadium and possibly everywhere else around the world, Happy and the group had no choice but to steer away from it and any other possible lands that they might roam. Unhaus was out on his own along with Zamenza to find Moody and Eve, whilst Happy and the group were trying to figure out what to do in order to find their headquarters and save.

Unbeknownst to them, Honori was flying in their direction. He had seen some things along the way, but finding Baye was top priority. He was also being chased by aerial members of the Dirty Delinquents wearing orange cloaks and aerial miniguns under their wings, to which they fired bullets at him and missing due to his small, nimble size.

Tanner: Isn't the seas usually infected with wild Leechados and other kinds of Mutant Pokemon out here?

Lydia: Yes, but most of them usually gather in certain spots during certain seasons. So this part of the ocean isn't as occupied this time of the year.

The group then overheard sounds of cawing followed by gunshots ringing in the air. To Baye, the cawing was familiar to her.

Baye: Huh? Wait… *gasps* That's Honori!

Tanner: ...Who?

Lydia: I see some Pokemon chasing it with aerial miniguns!

Baye: Honori!

Honori then flew in the direction of Baye's voice, with the aerial Pokemon following suit.

Mr. P: Look alive, everyone!

One of the aerial Pokemon, a Staraptor, noted how fast he was.

Staraptor: Damn Mutant bird! Stay still, won't you?!

The other aerial Pokemon, a male Altaria, commented on the situation.

Altaria: Number 91, there's a Lapras there. I suspect that there's passengers on it.

Staraptor: And this bird might be heading towards it. We'll shoot them if necessary.

Lydia: I'll bring them down!

She opened her mouth and fired a blue beam of ice-cold energy at the Staraptor, freezing his wing and knocking him out of the sky.

Staraptor: I'm hit!

Altaria: Number 93!

The Staraptor landed in the ocean. But Lydia wasn't done. She fired another beam, striking the Altaria's wing. He was falling towards them until Tanner grabbed him with a vine. Once he was on Lydia's shell, he removed the minigun from the Altaria's wings before tossing it into the ocean, where it sank and tied him up. Honori began cawing as he saw Baye with the others on Lydia and prepared to land on her back.

Tanner: *pulls Altaria* Allright, start talking! Where's your base?!

Altaria: *chuckles* ...In hell...Where Giratina sleeps, you idiot…

Tanner: *growls* That's not funny! Where is your base?!

Altaria: ...I ain't telling you a thing...Pry it from my cold, dead wings…

Tanner: (...This isn't working…) Alright then, we'll ask about where your family lives.

Altaria: ...Kiss my ass. I ain't got one.

Tanner: If you value your life, then I'll let you go. But tell us where the Dirty Delinquent base is.

Altaria: *chuckles* ...You'll never find out...Not by a mile long snake…

Tanner: Then stay as our prisoner.

Happy was curious enough to try poking at the Altaria, or moreso his wings, but as soon as he did, the Altaria froze in fear for some strange reason and shouted…

Altaria: N-No! K-Keep away from me! I don't like turtles!

Happy: Huh?

Altaria: Please! Stay away from me! You wanna know where the base is?! I'll tell you!

Tanner: (...That's weird...He doesn't like turtles...? I wonder why…? Might as well use this to our advantage…)

Altaria: T-There's a tower somewhere around here.

Tanner: Then tell us where we should be going.

Altaria: Fine, fine! Uh...You're not too far from it. It's on a small island to the left.

Tanner: ...Are you certain?

Altaria: Very! Look, can I go now?!

Tanner: Not yet.

Altaria: But-

Tanner: I know what I said, but I'd prefer your confirmation before I release you. Just to make sure we're not being derailed.

Altaria: *sighs* ...I'm stuck here with a turtle vermin…

Baye: Excuse me, but what is it about turtles you don't like?

Altaria: Look I just hate turtles, okay?! They do nothing but bite and think it's funny!

Baye: (...That answered my curiosity…)

Happy: ...Do you think I'd bite you?

Altaria: Please! Just stay away from me, okay?!

Charles: Hey! Stop shouting at him!

Altaria: *whimpers, cries* ...I'm going to die…

...

Somewhere out on the seas, Zamenza and Moby were out on the hunt. Zamenza could sense where other Pokemon would be, but for the Dirty Delinquents, it was harder for him since they always manage to keep a low profile to the point where their energy was that of a common household item.

Zamenza: (...They got the jump on us...And I can't even sense them…!)

He felt a massive presence at the Pokken Arts Stadium, which made him worry about his students and the others.

Zamenza: (...What is going on at that stadium…?! I feel something's wrong there…)

He then tried to feel out Happy and Charles's energy, which allowed him to get a feel for Baye, Tanner and Mr. P, which brought some relief except for one Pokemon in particular: Unhaus.

Zamenza: (...It's nice that they're still alive, but where's Unhaus…?)

He tried to get another feel of energy containing Unhaus's and was able to, but he thought it was strange that Unhaus was alone.

Zamenza: (...Why is Unhaus alone…? Did something happen…?)

Moby: Zamenza, can you get a feel of Moody's energy?

Zamenza: No. I'll give those Dirty Delinquent Pokemon credit. They know how to hide their energy well.

Moby: What about the others? That Bayleef and that Unfezant and those two children?

Zamenza: They're alright. Although, Unhaus is alone for some reason. Perhaps he's trying to find Eve on his own?

Moby: If you ask me, I think it's best for them to split up.

Zamenza: Not really. The Dirty Delinquents are a dangerous organization. If anything, sticking together is the best option.

Moby: Unlike you?

Zamenza: ...Moby, I'm different. Those are young adults and children. They don't understand themselves yet.

Moby: I understand.

Zamenza: Right now, our priority is finding Moody and Eve.

Moby: Right.

Zamenza: But hold on…

He then sensed some Pokemon heading his way, which weren't friendly at all.

Zamenza: Moby, I sense some Pokemon heading in our direction.

Moby: Are they friendly?

Zamenza: No. And I assume they aren't in the mood for chatting either.

Moby: Oh. It's the Dirty Delinquents, aren't they?

Zamenza: Yes.

Moby: I'm sad.

Zamenza: Hm?

Moby: Sad that such an organization like that exists.

Zamenza: I'm sure that they have their reasons. I mean, I know what they're doing is wrong but it can't be worse than that demon who terrorized the world 477 years ago.

Moby: Ah. I understand.

From above two orange cloaked Noivern were carrying Pokemon that couldn't fly, spotting Zamenza in the process. They dropped them onto Moby, leaving the flightless Pokemon to fight Zamenza before continuing in the distance. The two Pokemon were a Scrafty and a Stunfisk wearing orange cloaks, which didn't seem like much of a challenge to Zamenza, even with them having serious faces.

Zamenza: (...Oh look...They think they're tough…)

Scrafty: I hope you're not planning on going anywhere. You look like you know what's going on.

Stunfisk: We'll sink this whale and you into the deep blue sea!

Zamenza: ...Really?

Scrafty: Don't get cocky, old man. You're 50 years too old to be moving.

Stunfisk: This ocean is a perfect place to bury you.

Zamenza: ...You Dirty Delinquent Pokemon are so naive today. *smiles* I guess this old man will show you what age is about.

In an instant, Zamenza disappeared before their eyes.

Stunfisk: W-What the hell?!

Scrafty: Where'd he go?!

He then reappeared behind them. He delivered a sweeping kick to the Stunfisk and punched the Scrafty in the back, all within a second. They were instantly knocked out and fell into the ocean.

Zamezna: ...They weren't a challenge.

Moby: The old seems to move faster than the young, eh Zamenza?

Zamenza: Nah. It's all in experience.

However, he then realized something that he should've done.

Zamenza: ...Crap. I should've kept one of them.

Moby: Should I turn around?

Zamenza: Nah. Just sit still for a second.

Without any effort, he conjured up psychic energy on himself to levitate in a blue aura, hovering over where the two unconscious Pokemon lay. He used his eyes to pick up the Scrafty and levitated him back on Moby, where he woke up in confusion before recognizing Zamenza.

Scrafty: Shit! How'd you move so fast?!

Zamenza: ...Never mind that. Since you're wearing a cloak with that insignia, I want you to point me in the right direction, lest I scatter your parts all over the ocean, breaking you apart inch by inch.

Scrafty: A-Alright! What do you want?!

Zamenza: Which way is it to the Dirty Delinquents base?

Scrafty: U-Uh...I don't know the base personally, but I know where one of them is.

Zamenza: ...Does it contain a Tangela and a white Eevee?

Scrafty: How the hell should I know?! I wasn't even involved!

He felt Zamenza's psychic grasp getting tighter on him. His glare was getting colder to the Scrafty, forcing him to say something to ease the situation.

Scrafty: *screams in pain* I'm telling you the truth!

Zamenza: Then tell me something. Why are the Dirty Delinquents attacking, including the stadium?

Scrafty: W-Well, someone knew that the Dirty Delinquents had captured two Pokemon, but we had no choice but to cover our tracks by eliminating those that know our presence.

Zamenza: So that's why. You really are everywhere and nowhere.

Scrafty: C-Can I go now?

Zamenza: Hmm...No.

Scrafty: W-Why?!

Zamenza: I don't trust you. I need an accurate guide. Now, which way is it to one of your bases?

Scrafty: It shouldn't be too far. Possibly three miles ahead.

Zamenza: Good. (...If they're not here, at least I can crack some sense into their noggins…)

...

Somewhere on the seas, Unhaus was gliding his way in the skies with his mind solely on getting Eve back, if nothing else. He could also bring back Moody as well but that would require an extra trip and he would also be heavier to fly with in tow. He gained a sense of cold change in his wings provided by the winds as if there was something bad going on in the air, which was already obvious.

Unhaus: (...Don't worry, Eve...I'll bring you back...And afterwards, I'll tell the gang where their base is and save Mr. Moody…)

As he was flying, he was unaware that he was being followed by a Skarmory, a Corvisquire and a Yanma. They were wearing cloaks and equipped with aerial miniguns and bazookas, immediately firing at Unhaus who dodged nimbly as the bullets hit the waters.

Unhaus: (...Dammit…! I didn't even know they were following me…!)

Yanma: Damn, he's quick!

Skarmory: Fear not. He's one of those fighters that escaped. He knows too much now. Number 28, fire when ready.

Corvisquire: Ready!

The Corvisquire's bazooka charged aerial energy and fired as soon as Unhaus was in sight, releasing a ball full of wind, only to miss as Unhuas was nowhere to be seen as if he disappeared.

Corvisquire: N-Number 21! I don't see him! He must've disappeared!

Skarmory: Dammit!

From behind, Unhaus began flapping his wings, to which only two members could notice where he was.

Corvisquire: N-Number 21!

Yanma: He's behind us!

He then unleashed an air of razor wind on each of them, knocking them out of the sky. Their weapons also fell off them in the process, but only the Skarmory was able to recover somewhat quicker and take Unhaus on. The other two hit the waters, reducing the threat that stood before Unhaus.

Skarmory: That's a pretty neat skill, boy. But it'll take a lot more to knock a Steel type such as myself out of the sky.

Unhaus: You're right. But what about a Hurricane? Can you fly in one?

Skarmory: Wha?

Unhaus started flapping his wings faster, which caused the ocean below him to rise up and swirl around like a storm, trapping the Skarmory in the process.

Skarmory: *grunts* H-How…! You...can't possibly be doing this…!

Unhaus: Sorry, but I'm in a hurry.

The Skarmory was swirled around and tossed in the air, landing on a small rock in a weak state. Unhaus believed that it was the chance for him to get some information.

Unhaus: Start talking pal. Where's your secret Dirty Delinquents base that holds Eve captive?

Skarmory: *groans* ...I don't know...I'm not part of that…

Unhaus: Then tell me where the next base is!

Skarmory: ...You're not too far...from it…

Unhaus: I want to know something. You said something about me being one of the escaped fighters. What did you mean by that?

Skarmory: *chuckles* ...I'm not telling you anything.

Unhaus: You will when I fry your wings.

Skarmory: Wha…?

Unhaus: Start talking. Or I'll burn your wings clean off, never to fly again.

Skarmory: A-Alright...I think you're getting close there.

Unhaus: "I'm getting close there"? I get the feeling you're lying to me.

Skarmory: W-What…?

Unhaus began flapping his wings, which generated heat from them. It forced the Skarmory to confess.

Skarmory: A-Alright! You'll have to fly maybe five miles to get there!

Unhaus: *stops flapping* ...Are you sure?

Skarmory: Yes! But don't be so surprised about what the base looks like. We aren't keen on being "out in the open".

Unhaus: ...I'll take your word for it...But if you're lying, then I'll never forget you.

Skarmory: Huh?

UInhaus: I'll hunt you down personally.

Skarmory: H-Hey! You're cruel for a young man!

Unhaus: Not as cruel as your organization.

Skarmory: D...Dammit...Look, the base is 5 miles ahead...But like I said before, we aren't keen on being out in the open…

Unhaus: Then I've got some ground to cover.

...

Back at the base of the main Dirty Delinquents headquarters somewhere in the world, the large cloaked Pokemon was in his office looking outside the window of a clear blue sky. He was then visited by a small cloaked Pokemon, whose voice was female.

Female: Sir?

Male: Yes?

Female: We have obtained the one named "Moody" and successfully contained most Pokemon at the Pokken Arts Stadium. They shall arrive here within the hour.

Male: So, the strongest fighters participating are among them?

Female: Correct.

Male: Magnificent. Our glorious takeover is going smoothly. Society shall soon understand that our vision for the world is to be one without a corrupt idea of true slavery by an idiocentric government.

Female: ...Although some reports say that a few Pokemon have escaped.

Male: ...Huh?

Female: Some of our dispatchers have been silenced by them.

Male: ...I see. How unfortunate.

Female: Shall we continue in our endeavor?

Male: Yes. We are growing ever so closer to our goal, and soon no one will oppose our view… *quietly laughs*

...
