Amanda Rollins looked in disbelief at the paper in her hand, shocked at what it was saying. The chaos of her kids getting ready for bed faded away as she stared at the paper that just changed her whole world.

"Baby you okay?" Dominick Carisi asked coming back to the couch after he had put the girls to bed pulling her into his arms. He kissed behind her ear the tattoo of their badge numbers that formed a heart, a way of reminding them where they started and where they were heading.

"So I got the results back of my DNA after the bombshell my mom dropped about my dad not being my dad." She said as she laid her head on his chest.

"Okay, how bad is it?"

"Well it's not a prep but it's still confusing as hell" she said handing the paper to him.

"Are you going to tell him?" He asked

"I don't know, should I?" She asked.

"I'm the wrong person to ask, maybe talk to Liv. I mean she does know him the best." He said which is how Amanda found herself outside of Olivia's apartment the next morning.

"Amanda, what brings you by?" Olivia asked as she opened the door and ushered her in.

" I needed to talk to you about something." She was surprised when an older boy came out of Noah's room. He vaguely looked familiar but she couldn't place him at first.

"Eli, can you make sure Noah is getting ready? Katie is going to take you both to school this morning so I can take your grandma to her appointment. " Olivia said she and Amanda sit on the couch. It was then that Amanda realized this was Stabler's youngest son, her nephew if the paper in her pocket was to be believed,

"I'll get him. Hey Mini-me! Let's get a move on. Katie is taking us today so I bet we can talk her into pancakes." Eli said, barely moving down the hall making Olivia and Amanda laugh. Amanda watched as the two boys got their stuff. It was then that she realized that the two boys could pass as brothers; they looked so similar to each other.

Less than 5 minutes later the boys were gone with a kiss and hug goodbye to Liv and a wave to Amanda leaving the two women alone in the apartment. Amanda took a deep breath and glanced around before looking at Olivia .

"What's wrong Amanda ? " Olivia asked causing Amanda to curse how well Olivia knew her

"So a couple months ago my mom revealed to me that my dad isn't my dad she had a affair with someone who was from the New York City area but she wouldn't tell me the man's name so I ran my DNA and I got my results back and I uh don't know If I should say anything or not. And since you know him the best." She said rambling pulled the paper out of her pocket and handed it to Olivia.

"Oh my god." Liv said, covering her mouth with her hand as she read the paper.

"I don't know if this is fate mocking me or if it's a way to give me solid ground where family is concerned," Amanda said quietly

"Amanda, he'll want to know, El is all about his family regardless of how they came to be." Liv said, pulling her phone out.

"Do it before I lose my nerve!" Amanda said with a blank stare at a photo of a much younger Elliot and Olivia.

"Stabler" Amanda heard him say as he picked up

"Hey baby something has come up, can you swing back home? I just don't want an audience for this conversation." Olivia said in a rush.

"Okay, did the boys get to school okay?"

"Yeah Katie took them."

"Okay i'll be home within 30 mintues." He said as he hung up, his words caused Amanda to realize what he said.

"Home?"

"Um yeah we haven't really told anyone but since Fin's not wedding we've been figuring things out," Olivia said as Amanda stood and looked at some more of the photos on Olivia's mantle.

"Looks like you got it figured out?" Amanda said with a small smile picking up a framed photo of Elliot and Olivia at his Sergeant promotion ceremony the month before.

"We're getting there." Olivia said playing with the Simper Fi charm that had been turned into a locket.

25 minutes later Amanda and Olivia were broken out of their small talk about the kids when they heard the key in the door. Both women could see the look of confusion on Elliot's face when he stepped into the apartment.

"El come here." Olivia said, holding her hand out to him, he took it and sit beside her on the couch because Amanda had stood up her nerves getting the better of her.

"I know this is strange but Um A couple months ago my mom dropped a bombshell on me that my dad isn't my dad. She said it was someone from the New York area so I ran my DNA and got this result." Rollins said holding the paper out to Elliot who quickly read the results.

"I wish i could say i'm surprised but i'm not" He said his blue eyes shining with something that Amanda couldn't quite place. She couldn't tell if it was anger or shame at the ghost of his father, or their father.

"I was hoping to get to know him." Amanda

"Unfortunately you're about 30 years to late. He died a long time ago." Elliot said quietly

"I know we've never really gotten to know each other but do you think we could give it a try? I managed to lose a whole branch of my family tree with one lie " Amanda asked as Olivia's phone with off

"Well I have some good news for you, there's quite a few Stabler's on my side of the tree." Elliot said with a smirk as Amanda laughed quietly and Olivia rolled her eyes at him

"Mo is going to take your mom to her appointment. And Fin is running the squad this morning as well as OC's Sarge is being loaned to us for a case. so the three of us are suddenly free this morning till we have to go talk to a witness." Olivia said quietly as she texted Maureen back.

"Anybody want breakfast?" Elliot asked standing from the couch

"Sure but none of us can cook that well." Olivia said as Elliot kissed her forehead before walking toward the kitchen.

"That is why god invented takeout." Elliot said as he pulled out the takeout menus from the drawer.

30 minutes later the three of them was eating even though she had seen them share food before it still amazed Amanda how in sync the two of them were.

"Um how many siblings do you have?" Amanda asked as she watched Elliot take a bite of Olivia's toast.

"5 that we know of, with you there's now 6 stabler kids plus me. Which is ironic considering we have 6 kids." Elliot said, flashing a smile at Olivia, who Amanda noticed blushed slightly.

"You have two little girls right?" Elliot asked after a couple minutes of silence.

"Yes Jessie and Billie" Amanda said, pulling her phone out and showing Elliot a photo of the girls and Carisi.

"They look happy." Elliot said.

" I made a lot of mistakes but I I like to think I'm finally getting it right, especially now that they have Sonny." Amanda said quietly.

"Sometimes it's takes a little longer to find a Dad but once you find one especially if they are caltholic they are hard to get rid of." Liv said, kissing the top of Elliot's head as she stood and took their plates to the kitchen.

"I haven't said it before but thank you for standing by her in the ten years I was gone." Elliot said quietly.

"Your welcome just don't leave her again, brother or not you hurt her or Noah I will kill you and hide the body." Amanda said.

"I would expect no less." Elliot said.
