Chapter 30: Liberation
Whilst the Dirty Delinquents prepared for the road ahead, the base itself was gearing up for future endeavors. The scientists have completed their failed project called "E-Raticate", which was an ordinary Pokemon civilian who willingly allowed himself to be genetically modified by them. As for Zamenza, he was placed in the cell with Moody, reunited with him at last, only for four days as the Senior Head wanted them executed and shown as an example to those who still followed the status quo.
Speaking of "Senior Head", the Braviary himself was out on the seas for hours, in which he spent two days towards his final destination, the Terrabenie. He was also accompanied by one of his Brigadier officers named Lee Way, in case he needed some assistance. A minute later, they got there before the sun started setting.
The land itself was larger than what would be seen in other places, with houses evenly spaced apart to fill the land and covered in giant bubbles, along with paradise gardens and neatly made trees in each home, and three large buildings further in to cover the rest of the land. Out of the three buildings, one stood out as being the largest, almost resembling an empirical castle to hold very important Pokemon inside for political issues.
To Barbeque, he didn't care about any part of this place. Rather, he wanted to speak to the leader of this place so that his dream of world liberation would happen by forcing other kingdoms to reign their leaders in order to maintain a true sense of freedom. He decided to march straight towards the largest building to establish just that.
Along the way, he and Lee Way's appearance frightened and disgusted the civilians. The civilians themselves appeared to have bubble-like helmets and wore white clothing that seemed to be cleaned. They even crinkled their faces and turned their backs to them as if their mere existence alone disgusted them. However, this alone didn't deter Barbeque or Lee Way, as they didn't even care about them.
However, one such Pokemon pulled out a Roto-Phone and contacted someone of their presence, even being terrified of them before putting it away. At the large castle itself, six cloaked members of the place were sitting at the table, near the window with another cloaked Pokemon sitting at a throne near the center of the back wall that seemed to hold importance to the world itself, having items on it that seemed to belong to certain Pokemon from history itself. Said Pokemon on the throne appeared to be expecting something or someone.
In the midst of waiting, the Roto-Phone rang, and one of the members answered it before hanging it up, getting an answer from it.
?: …The leader of the Dirty Delinquents is here.
The cloaked figure sitting on the throne gave a grin, as if it was what it was expecting. Meanwhile, Barbeque and Lee Way had already made it to the castle's grounds. They were unaware that they were being watched by Shido, the World Government's chief marshal, who was sitting atop a platform on the castle itself.
Shido: …Those bastards made it. Let's see if they'll make it through the building.
As Barbeque and Lee Way made their way inside, they were then surrounded by Pokemon guards, with some holding swords, and the others holding shotguns pointed at them. Out of some of the guards, there were Escavalier who seemed to be ready to defend the place itself, pointing their arm-like lances at them. Of course, Barbeque began grinning, as if this whole thing was humorous to him.
Barbeque: *chuckles* Looks like they've given us a warm welcome. Let's give them one back.
Escavalier?: Men, attack! X-Scissor and Megalance style!
As the Escavalier squad charged forward with lancers glowing bright green, Barbeque and Lee Way vanished from their sights, throwing them off for a bit. Unbeknownst to them, they were moving far faster than their eyes could see.
Escavalier?: W-What the…-
Without warning, they were struck by their sides. Both Barbeque and Lee Way fell them down one by one until no Escavalier squad was left standing. This prompted the gun Pokemon to start firing, with bullets striking the ground where the two individuals once were. Soon, they felt talons and punches hitting them in their faces, downing them instantly as they were launched in different directions towards walls and dropped their guns, wasting their ammo for nothing.
Barbeque: *smiles* …They're hardly guards if they can't hold the forts. Come, Lee Way. Our step to world liberation awaits.
Lee Way: Right, leader.
From another section in the hallway, a Chesnaught saw the whole thing and contacted another unit for backup using a Roto-Phone.
Chesnaught: Unit 21 here! Unit 21 here! Requesting backup of units! I repeat: Requesting backup of units! Two cloaked Pokemon are in the front section's halls! We need assistance!
A minute later, more units showed up with guns and swords at the ready. They went towards the area where Barbeque and Lee Way were and charged straight towards them. To Barbeque, this was nothing but child's play. It was as if he could see everything in slow motion.
Barbeque: (...These Pokemon are pathetic…) Lee Way. You know what to do.
Lee Way: Yes, leader.
He then took a fighting stance and in the blink of an eye, he vanished from their sights. He moved so fast that everything looked like it was at a standstill. He delivered punches and kicks at a rapid rate in various spots of the guards that made them stop for a moment as soon as he stood away from them for a good moment until they fell to the floor in an unconscious state.
Lee Way: Hmph. This is a walk in the park. Leader, go on. This is nothing. I needed a good workout anyway.
A voice then rang in another hall in response to the unconscious guards laying just around the place.
?: Need more units! I repeat: more units!
Knowing that he had his trust, Barbeque went up the stairs, leaving Lee Way with the rest of the guards on the first floor. However, as he did, there were more guards ready for him. Throughout the midst of guards, one in particular stood out to Barbeque, being a male Slaking wearing a white coat with a six-pointed star symbol on his shoulder pads and wielded a spear with a blue band on the blade. He stood like a warrior ready for battle with a serious face in front of his enemy and his spear standing up next to him.
To Barbeque, a Slaking was considered to be the most pathetic thing to bump into, not by their power, but because he viewed them as lazy. However, he wondered if this one wouldn't be like regular Slaking, so he decided to take his chances.
Barbeque: …Hmph. A Slaking. This actually is a walk in the park.
Shido: What do you mean?
Barbeque: Most Slaking in general are known for their Truant ability, which to me is pointless. That's why you have guards around, isn't it? To slow me down after I strike you so you can recover and try again?
Shido: Fool! I prepared for this! If you think I'm a lazy Slaking, try again! I'm going to mop the floor with you! *raises spear* Men! Attack!
The guards pointed their guns and readied their swords as they charged forwards. The gunned Pokemon started firing at Barbeque, who effortlessly dodged their attacks and moved in closer to kick them with his talons at such speed that it looked like he was just running and stopping from one target to the next, knocking them out instantly. It left Shido surprised to see his guards being made of quick work by a Braviary like it was nothing.
Barbeque: *cracks neck* There. Now you can't rest with your guards.
In response, Shido threw his spear at Barbeque, to which he swatted it to pieces with a wing like it was nothing.
Shido: *growls* You realize that you'll be hunted down indefinitely, right? The Military will stop you!
Barbeque: *laughs* The Military will "what" now? I'm invincible. Even they are under my control. We are everywhere and nowhere.
Shido: W-What?! No! Impossible! That…That can't be…! This has to be some sort of joke!
Barbeque: I joke with you not. Why not ask the Military themselves? Or even Glopol?
Shido then freaked back a bit with a shocked face, trying to grasp the very information before him.
Shido: S…Shit…! If you guys run the world, our world stability's going to fall apart!
Barbeque: Guess what? I don't give a rat's ass about that. Better it to fall than keep a broken system in place. Now, let me through so I can spare the humiliation I'll bestow upon you.
Shido: You ain't getting away! I'll stop you! I'll show you that I'm not like other Slaking! HAMMER ARM!
He then raised his glowing blue right arm and swung it down like a hammer, only for it to be blocked by Barbeque's now exposed wing through the open flap of the cloak. Shido appeared to be struggling to bring his arm down, whilst Barbeque looked as if he had no difficulty holding it with an unfazed smile on his face. It was as if his wing was a rock compared to Shido's arm being like a soft ball.
Barbeque: Oh, what's wrong? Aren't you supposed to be showing me that you're not like other Slaking? Or maybe that's what you still are…
Shido: *grunts* …You…son of…a bitch…!
However, Barbeque growled at the response and bore a scowl on his face, tossing the arm aside and delivered a terrifying scratch to his body using his talons, knocking him on his back. He was bleeding from the claw marks, which left a nasty gash on his face and stomach and groaned in pain as he felt the blood from the wounds, with an angry yet composed Barbeque staring down at him.
Barbeque: Oh, how sad. You seem to be in the lazy position already.
He then leaned forward to Shido's face, and in an icy tone, he said…
Barbeque: Word of advice: Don't ever call me that again, or I'll gut you like a Karpeech…!
As he walked off, Shido grabbed his leg, stopping him for a moment.
Shido: …W…Wait…! *groans* T…The Pokemon World Government…They are…e…expecting…you…
Barbeque: …Marvelous. Should've rolled out the welcome mat whilst they're at it. Now let go. You're an embarrassment to Pokemonkind.
Without a word, he went on ahead through the door and entered the room where the Pokemon World Government and the cloaked figure turned in his direction, awaiting his presence. The cloaked Pokemon stood up from the chair and walked towards Barbeque without any ounce of fear in its step, attempting to get relevancy with him.
Barbeque: …Is this it? The building is impressive. The guards however…are a disappointment. One in particular I'd rather watch die…Now, I assume you're the leader of the Pokemon World Government?
The figure then nodded and smiled in response.
Barbeque: Excellent. Now, I'd like to abolish all things considered as "law" in this world. An end to your crappy society and a shitty system.
The six figures reacted with shock upon his words, lashing out at him with words of their own.
Third: Watch your tongue! That's Milord you're speaking to!
Fifth: You dare speak such filth to Milord?!
The cloaked figure then turned to the six with a smile, which for some reason, forced them to back down and react with shock once again, as if it said something to hold them back.
First: M-Milord…! Surely, you're not…!
The cloaked figure nodded once again in response with a grin.
Second: …It seems that Milord is onboard…Given that we have no power left…
Third: …I can't believe…that we're going along with this…
Sixth: But, if Milord says so, then …we shall follow…
Barbeque: *laughs* Excellent! We are all onboard now! Oh, and if you would, tell every leader of their nations to surrender themselves. And don't forget…We will abolish all laws and government, and that includes this place too. If someone defies this…well, we'll let the fires do the talking. Got it?
Second: *growls* H-How…dare you…?!
Sixth: V-Very well…
The Six Watchers picked up Roto-Phones, calling each nation's leaders and informing them of the situation. Even though it sent mass shock amongst them, they caved into the pressure and surrendered themselves. They had no choice but to comply and abolish the laws. This also didn't help ease the situation as the Dirty Delinquents presence was around in each nation. After it was finished, they hung up the Roto-Phone, turning their attention back to Barbeque with soured expressions.
First: …There…Every nation is currently surrendering their leaders. Please don't cause any fires…
Third: Our world stability…Broken…
Fifth: I hope you're happy with yourself. Every nation will soon turn to chaos without rules.
Barbeque: Not really. This also means we don't have to rely on this so-called "money" and "jobs" to earn this so-called "life", when we should already live in it without restrictions. Now Pokemon will truly learn of liberation, and I hope they'll see us as examples in future ways of living.
Fifth: …You won't win forever. Someone's going to put you down eventually.
Barbeque: *chuckles* …Ciao.
He then left the palace, with Lee Way joining soon after as they headed outside. However, unbeknownst to them, a Quilladin was following behind as they were further away from the empirical castle. He was employed by one of the members of the Six to secretly assassinate them. But to Barbeque, he knew they were being followed, so he stopped, which also caused Lee Way to stop.
Barbeque: …Someone's following us. It seems that they oppose our idea of liberation.
Lee Way: Want me to beat them up?
Barbeque: No. I have a better idea.
He turned around in the direction of the Quilladin and opened his beak, charging a small blue orb from it before firing a great blue beam with a swirling air vortex around it towards the Quilladin. He screamed as the beam hit, causing a massive blue-domed explosion from its impact and stirring up powerful winds and shaking the ground in the process, slinging debris in various directions. As the explosion cleared, the destructive impact left a huge amount of smoke and a large charred field in its wake, even taking Lee Way himself by surprise at just how powerful the attack was.
If anything, this was actually the first time he saw the Senior Head using such an attack. He even wondered just how powerful the Senior Head was, since he could use such a move. The Six Watchers saw the entire thing from the castle windows, and were shocked, not by its power, but the kind of attack he used. It even intrigued the cloaked figure itself.
First: I-Impossible…!
Sixth: T-That attack…! But…How…?! That was no ordinary move…! That was an Aeroblast! And he can use that?! He's only a Braviary! Only Lugia can learn that!
Third: What is going on with the Pokemon of today…?
Barbeque: *smiles* …Marvelous. I haven't used an Aeroblast in quite a while.
Lee Way: A-Aeroblast?! B-But isn't that move Lugia's?! How'd you learn that?!
Barbeque: I have secrets…Even I cannot tell you. Just accept that I can use it.
Lee Way: (...No…way…! No Pokemon in the world can use that move, and he's the only one so far to do so…!)
Barbeque: Now, we're on our way back. I shall see to it that those two elderly Pokemon are to be executed.
...
Back at the Dirty Delinquents main base, Brigadier Chan Way was in the office of the Senior Head, watching over it on his behalf. He was tasked to not let any Pokemon in his office unless with his permission or until he got back, whichever one it was. Standing in his office brought back some memories of when he and his brother were homeless fighters on the streets without a purpose, and met the Senior Head in such a place. It brought a smile upon his face, never forgetting the generosity the leader bestowed upon them by taking them in from this very office he stood in now.
However, said memory stopped as soon as his shades-like badge started ringing. He pressed it without a second thought, thanks to info from Sorbet about their upgrade. As he did so, the Senior Head's voice was on the line, which drew his attention to what he had to say.
Barbeque: Attention Dirty Delinquents! Our plan…is a success. Now, I need further proof of world liberation coming to fruition, such as other nations surrendering their leaders and abolishing their laws.
A Pokemon on one line commented in a gleeful tone with...
?: Number 419 here! From the Torch Kingdom, King Ignis the Second and his wife have stepped down from their position as rulers and are now abolishing taxes and jobs from the kingdom.
Another Pokemon on another line commented as well with a similar tone...
?: Number 344 here! After our convincing arguments in the Mental Country, we have Pokemon in support of our organization! Thanks to us, they no longer have to worry about being behind on taxes or work at jobs they hate! We have their support!
Another Pokemon on another turned in, saying something from his perspective...
?: Number 91 here. Several other kingdoms and countries have thrown money into the waters, according to other reports! We have no restrictions on freedom.
Barbeque: Excellent. Our world will no longer be slaves bound by so-called "masters". The world is ours! Enjoy it! Do whatever you want and treat each other like family! As for our fallen comrades, let our hearts and prayers go out to them. But, thank them for allowing us to get this far! Now, I will return within two days. Make sure the deniers are to stay in their cells. Barbeque out.
As the Senior Head chimed out, the entire base cheered in an uproar of their victory. Years of planning to liberate the world has finally come to fruition. Such loud cheering could be heard throughout the entire base, with some cloaked members jumping for joy and others yelling "Long live liberation!". It truly was the beginning of a new world for everyone, but there were still doubters of this change.
Back at the cell where Morgan and Mr. P were, they overheard the cheering, in which they didn't care about it, but still had an idea about how to break out. This was exactly what Morgan had planned, since a guard had told her of Barbeque's departure for it. She and Mr. P discussed it before and instinctively waited on it to create the perfect moment to break out.
Morgan: *grins* Alright! Now they'll regret it. I'm betting that the guard will enter our cell and inform us about it in just a minute…
A moment later, a two-legged orange cloaked guard wielding some nunchaku had entered the room, having a hood over his face to conceal his identity.
?: I see you two are quiet as ever. In case you haven't heard, our world is truly liberated.
Morgan: We know.
Mr. P: We heard you all yelling and whooping in the halls. How could we not hear?
?: Then you know where you stand.
As the cloaked Pokemon turned around to leave, Morgan saw this as the perfect chance. This was the only chance for her to get out of here.
Morgan: Oh, mister…?
As the cloaked Pokemon turned around, he was instantly shocked. Morgan appeared somewhat composed, but she then changed her voice, sounding more seductive.
Morgan: …Would you…do something so kindly for me?
It wasn't as apparent at first, but as soon as her voice rang into the cloaked Pokemon's ears, he instantly fell in love, as if he was under a spell. Morgan then crossed her legs and lay on her left side, facing him whilst blinking her eyes slowly to seduce him with such a pose. He was instantly charmed and began whooping to himself as if he scored a hot one, seeing her as some sort of beauty queen.
Morgan: …Could you…free me from these chains? If you do…I'll give you a nice…big…kiss…
She then blew a kiss at him, enthralling him even further.
?: Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo! Y-Yes, ma'am! A-Anything for you!
The cloaked Pokemon rushed to her side and pulled a key out of his pocket, sticking it into the key slots of her chains and managed to undo her, setting her free. However, he was unaware of what he did.
Morgan: Thank you…
She leaned in closer to him, as he wanted to. He pursed his lips out and closed his eyes, expecting a kiss. However, instead of a kiss, she delivered a punch to his midsection and kicked him towards the corner of the room, taking the key in the process. Even Mr. P, who sat and watched it all, was somewhat uneasy with her "practices".
Morgan: Heh. Sucker.
She then used the key to undo Mr. P's chains, setting him free.
Mr. P: Thanks.
Morgan: No time for thanks. We leave. The minute we step out of this room, the security will sound off.
Mr. P: Alright.
...
A minute later at the Senior Head's office, Brigadier Chan was keeping an eye out for anything suspicious until the security alarm rang throughout the entire building. The noise had alerted every member of the base, realizing that the situation was bad. It was particularly bad on Chan Way's end, as he couldn't believe it.
Chan Way: (...Impossible…!)
...
