The hybrid monster Dagahra was first seen attacking ships in the Indian ocean, and any survivors caught a sickness called the barem plague and it was found Dagahra emmite the barem virus and that emission was enhanced when the creature was injured. When it was found out that Dagahra was on course for Sydney the USS Saratoga confronted Dagahra and successfully injured the creature could not pursue it due to the presence of Barem in the water. 2 days later on Christmas day, Dagahra made landfall in Sydney but the Australian military could not confront it due to fear of releasing Barem into Australian waters, but 2 hours after Dagahra made landfall, the ill advised order was sent to attack Dagahra, while it was successfully killed, the amount of Barem released caused a pandemic known as the Red Christmas Plague, which lasted until 2018, the same year Australia collapsed due to no foreign aid and Barem infection. 7.4 million people were reported dead or injured in Dagahra's attack.
