A few weeks later

Emily is in her office frantically looking for something when she hears someone enter.

Emily(irritated): Rossi. I'm fine. Just a little nauseous. But I'm not in the mood for-(she looks up to see it's not Rossi) Spence!

(They embrace)

Emily: How are you? What are you doing here?

Reid: Good. I'm good. (Sees Emily is crying and immediately becomes concerned)How are you?

Emily: Fine. I'm just a hormonal mess right now.

Reid: Hormones? Emily are you pregnant?

Internally Emily winces-this is the 3rd time this week someone has asked that. Externally though she just scoffs-chuckles and points to her grey hair.

Emily: No. That's impossible. I'm just going through menopause and it's kicking my ass.

Reid: Right. (Briefly pauses) Although, you know it's not impossible to conceive during menopause. About 5 in 100 women over age 50 still get pregnant naturally. Until you are post menopausal, pregnancy is still a possibility. Also, many people particularly those with vitamin and mineral deficiencies can experience premature grey hair even in their early 20s. So going grey is in a no way a factor in-

Emily is quick to jump off this conversation train.

Emily: You never told me why you're here.

Reid: Oh, I wanted to invite you to a conference I'll be speaking at next month. The topic I'm speaking on is one I think would be beneficial to the BAU as a whole, but particularly in your case being the chief. And I missed you all. Thought I'd come in say hi and ask you in person.

Emily: I think I can speak for all of us when I say we have missed you too. And I will try my best to come. Now. Have you visited anyone else?

Reid shakes his head no

Reid: I came here first.

Emily: Would you like an escort to see Garcia?

Reid: That would be great.
