"DANG THOSE CLONES!" One of the Coruscant clones tore his helmet off and slammed it on the ground. "I HAD THEM! I ALMOST HAD THEM!"
"Calm down, Rush. They won't be hiding for long," Target, his Commander said.
"But what's Lord Jakaida gonna say if she found out that her money is in the pits because of us?!" Rush cried. "And Master Andrex too! We're as good as dead!"
Target put his hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure we can talk some sense into them. Tell them what happened," He gulped. "Let's just hope they're in a good mood today,"
Rush rubbed his neck. "Just crush my esophagus now, will ya?" He said. "Save me the agony,"
"Oh, shut up," Target grabbed Rush's arm and started pulling him to his ship. "Let's just get this over with. We're her best troopers. I'm sure she won't do too much damage to us,"
Rush shivered. "You're gonna wish you didn't say that,"
Rush and Target both went on the ship, and Target lifted it into the air.
"So, I heard you killed a runaway Jedi," He said, flying the ship towards the outer atmosphere of the planet.
Rush shrugged. "I guess I did. Why do you bring that up?"
"Takes skill to kill one," Target said.
"We know their moves like the back of our hand!" Rush said. "It wasn't that much of an accomplishment,"
"I know, just saying," Target said. "Jedi with ships are pretty skilled,"
"Yeah. I barely got them before they got away," Rush scratched his neck. "It went spiraling down toward some sandy planet,"
Target paused. "Was there an explosion?"
"No, but no Jedi could survive that. Especially with that small of a ship,"
Target slammed his fists on the dashboard. "So that Jedi could still be out there?! Alive?!"
Rush put his hands up. "I'm sure they died! I swear it!"
"But you didn't make sure of it!" Target grumbled. "Jakaida and Andrex are gonna love that…"
"If they survived this long, they should be there!" Rush said. "After we talk to Jakaida and Andrex, if we're still alive, that is, we can go and search for your precious trash. There's no way they're getting off that planet without a ship,"
"Sure," Target said. "But don't mention this to either of them. If she finds out we let two Jedi our of our grasp, she'll kill us for sure,"
Target and Rush flew for a while until they reached their Masters' Star Destroyer. After getting approved by the droids for their entrance, they landed inside one of the hangars, and jumped out.
"Alright, stay calm," Target said. "Don't mislead them in any way. That will only make them angrier,"
"Copy that," Rush said.
They walked to one of the elevators, and went inside. They pressed a few buttons, and they shot up a few floors.
"Man, I hope they're in a good mood today," Rush said with a shiver.
"Just look at her eyes. You'll know," Target said.
As soon as they hit their stop, the doors opened, and the two clones were hit with a fit of yelling. Jakaida and Andrex were both standing in front of a fleet of parked tie fighters. Jakaida's usually blue eyes were blood red, and the whites of her eyes were an inky black. Her long blonde hair was sprouting a new strand of dark black hair with each angry word she said. Her pitch black armor clanged on the metal floor with each time she stomped.
"I think now is a bad time…" Target whispered. "Slowly back away…" He put his hand in front of Rush, and slowly backed up towards the elevator.
"YOU SAID THOSE BLASTERS WOULD BE DONE A ROTATION AGO!" She barked, pointing a finger into Andrex's chest. "MY CLONES ARE STUCK WITH THE CLANKY ONES!"
"Jakaida! Calm down!" Andrex put his hands up. The whites of his eyes were still white, but the striking blue irises were still hard and cold. His spiky blonde hair was messy with stress. "I promise you. They're almost done. We will get them distributed imm-"
"I DON'T WANT THEM TO ME ALMOST DONE! YOU PROMISED QUICK DISTRIBUTION!" She snapped, clenching her teeth.
Andrex grabbed her shoulders. "ALright, alright, calm down, think happy thoughts," He closed his eyes and inhaled. "Breathe in and out through the nose. You're on Coruscant. You're chopping the heads off of Jedi. You're choking the traitors with you're unlimited power,"
Jakaida slowly started to smile. "Hehe, I like those thoughts. I love those thoughts,"
"Keep going," Andrex said calmly. "You're plunging their hearts with the cross saber. You're destroying… my greenhouses?"
Jakaida's eyes slowly started to turn white again. "Mmm…even better. I never wanted your greenhouses,"
Andrex sighed. "I know, I-"
CRASH! One of the crates Rush was leaning against suddenly fell over, spilling its contents all over the floor. They were extra blasters.
Jakaida slid on her pitch black helmet as soon as she heard the sound, grabbed her red lightsaber from her belt, and ejected the blade. Andrex ppt his helmet on and jumped back.
"WHO'S THERE?! YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME YOU-" Jakaida stopped in her tracks when she saw Target and Rush, leaning against the wall. "Oh! Rush! Target! There you are!" She put her saber back on her belt. "Good knews for me, I presume?"
Rush started to sweat under his helmet. "Well…"
"Did you find those little Jedi twerps? Did you get the bounty?" She said,
Rush tried to keep his voice as calm as possible. "Well…in a way, we did, but…"
Target elbowed him. "Tell the truth…"
Rush inhaled and shut his eyes. "They got away…" He squeaked.
Jakaida clenched her fists. "WHAT?!"
"Wait wait! Don't kill me yet! We have more news to report!" Rush put his hands up.
Jakaida leaned in close. "Not bad news, I hope…" She snarled.
"The price of the bounty probably just increased. There were…others,"
Jakaida leaned back "Others? You mean more Jedi?"" She rubbed her hands together. "More money?"
"Not Jedi, exactly," Rush said. "It was the most peculiar sight though! The battle on Utapau was crazy! People were dying everywheer! Quite proud of many of those men, might I say! They-"
"Get to the point, Rush!" Jakaida snapped.
"Clones! A squad of rogue clones were helping the brat and the oversized rug to escape!"
Jakaida and Andrex stood there, silent for a moment.
"Rogue…Clones?" She said, spacing the two words out dramatically.
Rush put his hands up. "I'm just as confused as you are, Lord Jakaida,"
"How is that possible?! Their chips should have been intact! They should have gone through with the Order!" She stomped up to Rush's face. "Tell me the details of these…clones…"
"It was the Ghost Squad, ma'am! The famous squad everyone is talking about!"
Jakaida scratched her chin. "Sort of. Bring up their holograms!"
Rush took a device out of his pocket, and brought up a scene of the squad from Coruscant. Clover, Focus, and Droid were there, on the ground, being pinned down by their own men. "The other two were on the ship with the fugitives." He looked at Clover, and pointed at him. "But this one is all we need to decipher them from the rest. Whenever I saw them, he hardly ever left his squad. They're extremely skilled," He looked at the two Sith Lords. "We find Clover, we find the Jedi,"
Jakaida smiled. "Man, you are the best spies I've ever put out there…" She looked at Andrex. "See?! I told you stealing those clone embryos was a good idea! These guys are great spies!"
Andrex frowned. "That mission almost got us caught, Jakaida,"
"Forget that! It's the success that matters!" She crossed her arms. "Now, I need some people with better…" He scanned Rush and Target's armor. "...protection, to find these clones," She turned on her com on her wrist. "Clu! Hue! Get in here! Pronto!"
Within a few minutes, the elevator opened again, and two Mandalorians came running in, a man, and a woman. The man had red, black, and silver beskar armor, and two staffs on his back, while the woman had dark blue and silver beskar armor. They each had light gray capes, the woman having fur on the shoulders.
The woman skid to a stop in front of Jakaida, and put her hands on her his. "Reporting for duty, boss!" Her cape flew over her head, and she struggled to push it off.
"So am I, b- He tripped over his cape, and crashed into Hue. They both tangled on the ground in their own capes.
Jakaida sighed. "If you two weren't such good hunters, I'd kill you both," She waved her hands in front of the hunters, and moved them apart with her Force abilities. "First off, switch your capes back. You two are idiots as it is. Second off, I have a mission for you two,"
Hue paused. "How did you know?! They're the same color!"
Clu crossed his arms. "Cause mine has the fur, ya dummy!"
"Just…do what I tell you!" Jakaida spat.
THe two bounty hunters took their capes off and gave them to one another.
"Thank you," She took the holo device from Rush, and turned it on, showing the Ghost Squad again. "See these clones?"
"Isn't that the so-called 'Ghost Squad' I saw on the bounty posters a few minutes ago?" Clu said.
"Those are them," Jakaida said. "I need you to catch them. I'll pay you both well on ONE condition," She brought up another hologram of Ponzo and Bugsi. "You need to turn in the fugitives, AND bring the clones to me to earn your reward,"
"Don't you want the Jedi too?" Hue said, crossing his arms.
"And the wookie?" Clu said.
"I could care less about the brat, and the oversized carpet," Jakaida said. "All I want is their bounty," She turned away, and smirked under her helmet. "I have…other plans for those clones…"
