A/N- Here's my submission for Day 1 of the Scarletstrange week. I know I am a tad late. Anyways Enjoy!
Wong definitely had to give them this. They were extremely awe inspiring when they were in their element. He, along with some newest trainees were watching behind a magical protective barrier placed to stop wayward spells. Wong could feel the anticipation from the trainees as they waited with baited breath for the duel to begin. Knowing Stephen and Wanda, Wong knew they would put up a fight worthy for the stuff of legends.
Stephen and Wanda began circling one another, seizing each other up, the look on their faces goading each other to make the first move. Stephen smirked at her, daring her to make the first move, which she gladly did.
Her attack came hard and fast. A blast of red magic almost floored him had Stephen not put up his fought back, sending back multiple projectiles, trying for the offensive but Wanda just lazily flicked them away. She conjured up Tao Mandalas, instead of the usual golden it was her own signature red. Stephen looked at her, feeling extremely proud of how far she had come. Initially, she had the raw power and potential but with very little knowledge on how to harness her vast potential. Under him and the rest of the masters, she had flourished at an astonishing rate. She was now able to incorporate elements of both eldritch magic and chaos magic into her fighting style, creating something to behold. He smiled and conjured up his own and the real sparring began.
The trainees were on the verge of gasping out into loud oohs and ahhs any moment now and Wong could not find any fault with them. The two were really going for each other's throats. Flashes of red and gold would batter on the protective shields. Both were equally going for the offensive as well as the defensive using a combination of magic and hand to hand combat moves. They were evenly matched but Wong knew Wanda was holding back on the magic. A collective gasp from the trainees caught Wong's attention. Stephen had Wanda in a headlock but she was not easily deterred. She quickly placed her palm on her midriff and sent a blast of magic through her to Stephen, who was forced to release her due to the force of the blast.
They began circling each other once more, their breaths coming out in slight pants.
"Tired Stephen?"
"Not at all darling. By all means let's continue." Stephen's eyes gleamed.
The sparring began in earnest and was focused on more hand to hand combat. They were deadly, trading blow after blow with no sign of backing down. Wanda managed to put some distance between them, she charged at Stephen and with a flying leap she straddled his shoulders and using her weight she brought the both of them crashing on to the ground. She quickly grabbed both his hands and straddled him, preventing him from moving (Wong was then reminded that Wanda trained under Natasha Romanoff and Steve Roger, both deadly fighters, for some time.)
"Yield Stephen. I win". She looked at him, sprawled underneath him, his breath clearly knocked out.
"Gladly sweetheart." Stephen looked at her, eyes darkening as he took her in.
Wanda smiled adorably and dropped a quick kiss on his cheek and moved to help Stephen up, hearing some awws from the audience.
"Get a room you two." They heard Wong calling out, amidst the laughter of the trainees.
A/N- This is the first time I wrote a fight scene and I know it is not as a 'awe inspiring' as the scene that played out in my head when writing this. I toned down this prompt like a lot...hopefully I did an ok job. Would really love to know what you all think. This posted on Tumblr and on Ao3 too
