Katara finished her shower and plopped down on her bed in just a towel. She couldn't believe how crazy the past day had been. Everything from sitting next to the crown prince of the Fire nation on the plane, to being invited to stay at the royal palace seemed almost dream like. Not to mention the devilishly handsome crown prince who needs to finish what he started on the plane.
Katara thought about what happened on the plane. She loved the way Zuko's kiss was forceful but not trapping. Katara craved the feeling of being pressed up against him once again. She shivered at the thought.
There was a sudden knock at the door snapping Katara out of her day dream.
"Katara? It's me, Zuko," he yelled from the other side of the door. Katara sat up and walked to the door and opened it.
"What's up?" Zuko was at a complete loss of words. She had opened the door in only her towel. Zuko stood in shock only staring at how there was probably nothing under that towel and how the towel seemed to accentuate her curves. This was the last straw.
Zuko, without another word, quickly pressed his lips to katara's. She welcomed it by wrapping her arms around his neck and taking stepping backwards to let him in and shut the door. Their kiss grew more desperate as they both realized how much they really needed this.
Katara had completely forgotten that she was only in her towel, but Zuko's hands grabbing her bare ass had reminded her. She pulled away for a moment and grabbed at the hem of his shirt, encouraging him to take it off. Zuko complied, pulling off his shirt and revealing his perfectly sculpted torso. Katara ran her fingers down his abs, marveling at how toned he was. She let her fingers trail down to the top hem of his jeans where she toyed with it's button.
Zuko couldn't take it anymore, he quickly closed the gap between them and kissed Katara again. She gladly accepted him, pulling at his belt loops to bring him closer.
Ring Ring Ring
Katara recognized the ringing of her phone, but chose to ignore it. She began to work at the button of Zuko's jeans. The ringing stopped just moments after it had started.
Ring Ring Ring
Zuko's hands joined hers to help alleviate the tightness growing in his jeans. He unzips the zipper.
Ring Ring Ring
"Oh for the love of Tui and La," Katara said angrily. Her hands reluctantly left Zuko's pants as she turned and walked towards her phone. She snatched her phone up from the place that it was sitting and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Glad to hear you made it to Caldera City safely, sis! Thank you so much for calling and letting me know," Sokka said sarcastically. Katara found herself incredibly irritated at her brother.
"Sorry I didn't call," she said in a slightly irritated tone, "I knocked out as soon as I got here."
"What's with the tone?" Sokka asked, picking up on Katara's irritation, "I'm the one that should be mad."
Katara took a deep breath in and quietly released it. He was right. She was supposed to call to let him know she arrived safely to her destination. She looked up at Zuko who was awkwardly standing in the middle of her room shirtless and with his jeans undone. She mouthed an apology at him which he gave a small smile to.
"Sorry, Sokka," Katara apologized again, but more sincerely this time, "I'm still a little grumpy from my nap."
"It's alright, sis. I was just worried," Sokka said, "sorry if I disturbed your nap."
"It's fine," Katara replied flatly. It was indeed not fine. She peeked up at Zuko again. His jeans were buttoned up again and he was turning his shirt right-side out.
"Okay, well I should let you finish your nap. Call me later, okay?"
"Yeah, I will," Katara replied. They said their goodbyes and hung up the phone. Katara let out a deep sigh noticing that Zuko was now fully dressed.
"Your brother?" Zuko asked, breaking the momentary silence between them.
"Yeah, sorry about that," Katara answered.
"Don't apologize," Zuko smiled at her, "He was probably worried."
Katara smiled at him. Most men would be angry at the interruption. Zuko seemed to understand and didn't show even the slightest bit of anger. Katara deduced it was probably because he is also an older brother.
"I-I should get changed," Katara stuttered, feeling a bit awkward after being interrupted again and realizing she was still in just her towel.
"Oh, uh, yeah. I should go," Zuko said picking up on Katara's awkwardness, "Just, uh, text me."
"Yeah, I will," Katara said.
Zuko turned towards the door to let himself out.
