DEDICATED TO ALL THE COURAGEOUS FIREFIGHTERS AROUND THE WORLD WHO RISK THEIR LIVES TO SAVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS

You may or may not have heard of a hero before. But heroes surround us all. You may think of a hero as Superman, or Batman. But neither are as dedicated as true heroes. True heroes are those who sacrifice things of their own to make others safe, even at their own expense. This is how our story will begin.

In the small town of Adventure Bay, there are a group of six pups, along with their owner, Ryder. To their own, they are heroes of sorts. Caring for their community with compassion, and always doing what is right. Whether it benefits them or not. They are still heroes, in the eyes of everyone they meet.

Of course, a city with caring people, is a city that has bad people. People who wish to do harm, or wish to hurt others. Heroes, want to stop those who will cause harm, and will save even those who cause despair.

But, with new missions every day, some may ask... are there more heroes out there then what meets the eye? And will they be willing to risk it all?

Lets find out.

CHAPTER 1

Adventure Bay. It is a small town, but full of great and wonderful adventures. And it is full of great people, who care about one another, especially the PAW Patrol, a group of six pups and a human teenager who cares deeply for everyone. Today, was just like any other morning for the pups of the PAW Patrol. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and everyone was getting up early, and most of the city was calm, some kids were getting ready for school, while some were playing in the little time they had that morning.

Many people loved these pups, the kids, and even the city's own mayor. I guess it was safe to say that had a good reputation amongst them all. From their kindness, they bonded friendships that would last a lifetime. Now, lets skip across the river to the Lookout, the place where the six pups live along with their trainer, Ryder; and receive missions with their specialty to save people in their community.

This day, was like any other. The pups were waking up in the early dawn, as Ryder was preparing their breakfast for the day. All of the pups had eagerly ran up to Ryder for daily pets and time together with their beloved trainer and owner, despite being only fifteen. These pups, all six of them, sat in a row, eating their daily breakfast as Ryder walked over to the garage, and began fiddling with his tools, lighting flashing far away from the recent storm that was almost over, but still poised a threat.

Just as soon as Ryder got to eating his own breakfast, some cereal and milk, alongside a small helping of yogurt, his pup-pad rang, and he sighed, moving his bowl away and accepting the call. Which was from... Mayor Goodway? The still slightly groggy Ryder immediately came to his senses, as he listening to Mayor Goodway's distressed voice.

"Ryder! T-Thank goodness you answered!" Goodway could be seen with a horrid look on her face, and a look of terror. Something was dearly wrong, and in the reflection of her skin was a bright orange hue, with a gray haze surrounding the background.

"Of course Mayor Goodway, what is the trouble?" Ryder replied, taking note of her stressed look, and paying close attention to what was happening in the background. With the orange hue of light pulsating in flashes.

"City Hall is on fire! After the lightning storm, the building is in flames! We are afraid the fire could burn down all of Adventure Bay!" Ryder was frantic, he didn't know what to do with the fire which was now raging down the bridge. They didn't have time to go through their usual process, they needed Marshall to City Hall, NOW.

"Don't worry! We will be there fast!" After Ryder hung up, he got dressed into his fire resistant uniform and his helmet, sliding down the poll as he ran out to Marshall. Marshall had seen the smoke, and his fire truck was already ready. Ryder nodded, and the two of them raced off to the City Hall fire, which was now raging and burning the vegetation outdoors, and the statue of Goodway's pet chicken, Chickeletta, was melting at the base. After they stopped, Marshall used his canons and Ryder used the fire truck's water hose to blast the blaze.

Amidst their trials, the flames were growing bigger, and was getting out of control, as much as they tried to repress and control the flames and smoke. The flames were spreading, and they didn't have enough firepower! As Marshall looked around, trying to find a way to put out the fire, when he spotted the water tower a little ways away. Looking at Ryder, he had a look of uncertainty on his face, trying to control the blaze in small areas at a time, making slow progress compared to the fire, which was now breathing oxygen and funneling fuel to create a massive blaze.

"Ryder! Get Chase here! I have an idea!" Marshall said to Ryder, getting into his fire truck as Ryder nodded with a look of distress at the massive flames.

"Chase! We need you over by City Hall, now!" Ryder plead, and soon, Chase had arrived, his sirens wailing and in his police uniform as he stopped at Ryder's side, who was struggling to fight the fire by himself.

"I am here! Now what?" Chase bit his lip, unsure what to do as he wasn't prepared for a fire mission! He didn't even have an oxygen respirator to stop smoke from getting into his lungs.

"Go to Marshall by the water tower! He told me he has a plan! Hurry! We don't have much time!" He grunted, his teeth clenched together as Chase sped off to the water tower, his sirens stopping as he stopped next to his long time friend.

"Chase! I am glad you made it! Use your winch and pull the water tower at the base! We will use it to stop the fire!" Marshall asked, and Chase was very uncertain if this would work, but they had no other option, in a bid to stop the fire, Marshall rammed his fire truck at the base of the front right leg of the tower, and Chase pulled the other down, which created a makeshift river of water which splashed all over the fire, and extinguished it, as the building collapsed at last.

While they did get the fire put out, it became news in British Columbia, where Adventure Bay was on the map. And to be frank, the Canadian Public Safety Management Team was not pleased. Marshall was being interviewed, and was being scolded by Jacob, the main management director for the British Columbian sector was not pleased.

"Marshall, were you within the fire by five minutes of the notification of alarm?" Jacob began, looking at Marshall with a cold look as he looked down.

"I didn't have time to look at the clock... we were in a rush." His assistant wrote the information of what he wrote down, and after Jacob got done with scolding Marshall, with questions, he made his decision.

"It is clear this city does not have any regards for public safety in firefighting, especially equipment that can't get the job done like last century." The brown haired man told Ryder and the rest of the pups, along with Mayor Goodway, who was starting to cry, however Everest was there from Jake's, comforting her amidst the trying time.

"So unless 'Marshall' here can get his equipment and fire truck refurbished and up to firefighting standards, and can acquire three more firefighting personnel I will be pulling the PAW Patrol's certificate of operations for public safety." After his assistant had clicked his pen, everyone had packed up and left, and Marshall was left devastated, and depressed deep inside, smoke was still rising as Marshall went back to the Lookout, and looked down as he refused to eat for a few hours, finding it hard to believe that this could've been avoided had he taken the time to get more pups for this... even though none other than him and Ryder had a certificate of firefighting. However an empathetic Chase, Everest, and Skye all walked up to Marshall and his pup house, with sympathetic frowns all on their face.

"Hey... Marshall, we've been talking about it... me, Skye, and Everest want to go and get certified, to get the PAW Patrol recertified and ready for service." Chase smiled, as Marshall looked up, bewildered at his friend's willingness to do something to help the dire situation of Adventure Bay. He looked up, with an unsure look on his face, tears staining his fur.

"You would... do that for me?" Marshall widened his eyes, as he questioned their decision. "But... what about your police work, Jake, and your flight career?" Marshall asked, worrying about them sacrificing their own dreams of work, for the betterment of the community.

"Marshall, all we need to do now is get the PAW Patrol recertified." With Chase's words, Marshall smiled, getting up to hug his friends, in thanks for what they were doing for him, and Adventure Bay.

As the day went on, Chase, Everest, and Skye all packed up their gear, and enough fuel for the journey, Ryder and everyone whom they knew in Adventure Bay came to the Lookout for a goodbye, each of the pups getting thanks for taking their own hobbies and putting it away for the sake of the community. As Chase put the final cases of food and fuel in his 4x4's cargo bay, in replace of the cones, he smiled as Marshall came up to talk to him.

"When you get to Advanta Peak Air Attack, you want to ask for a pup named Aalto, he is their Chief of Fire and Rescue, and an old friend of mine." Marshall smiled slightly, watching as Chase nodded with a reply coming through his kind voice, the smoke still visible from the bridge as he sighed.

"Got it." Chase simply replied, looking towards the rest of the pups as Skye got her engine started and began to hover off the earth, while Everest and Chase had started their engines respectively.

"And hey, be careful." Ryder asked, as Chase looked back at Ryder.

"We will." He replied, everyone watched as Chase, Everest, and Skye took off into the horizon for Advanta Peak, all of them with a small smile painted on their faces as they began their long journey, as their claps from the crowd became quieter, and almost faint as they went for the forests and the horizon in the distance.
