Chapter 2: Varan Awakens

"How do I do that?" Naruto asks.

Using his massive wings, Grynot cleared the rocks and debris away from Varan's statue and alter.

"Give me your hand, Human."

Naruto holds up his left hand, then Grynot bit down on it, leaving a perfect semicircle of bleeding wounds in the blonde's hand.

"Place your hand on the alter and allow the blood to flow into hole and wait."

Naruto does as instructed and fifteen or so minutes later Varan's statue began stirring before it shattered, revealing Restless umber eyes sit graciously within the creature's angular, narrow skull, which gives the creature a threatening looking appearance.

Several small crystal growths sit atop its head, just above its short, cat-like ears. Small fan-like skin and bone structures runs down the sides of each of its jaw lines.

Its nose is pointy and has two large, oval nostrils and there are crystal growths on its chin. Several rows of large teeth poke out from the side of its mouth and give a slight hint at the terror hiding inside.

A thick neck runs down from its head and into a colossal body. The top is covered in scale-like skin and rows of fan-like growths runs down its spine.

Its bottom is covered in thick scales and is colored lighter than the rest of its body. Two bulky limbs carry its body and allow the creature to stand towering and imposing. Each limb has 5 digits, each of which end in pointy claws seemingly made of bone.

Monstrous wings grow starting from its shoulders and end at the middle of its back. The wings are angular, the insides of the wing seem to be made of thin crystals and long tendril-like growths grow from many parts of the bottom sides of each wing.

Its barbed tail ends in a gentle point and is covered in the same scale-like skin as its body.

Naruto was in complete awe of the sight of the majestic creature that now stood before him and Grynot.

"Ah finally, I am free of that accursed prison, now to find the one who freed me."

Looking around, Varan spots her Brother, Grynot.

"Ah, my Brother, it is indeed good to see you again, do you know who freed me from my prison?"

"This Human here freed you, dear Sister." Grynot says, pointing at Naruto, who is kneeling respectfully.

"Oh, I like him already."

Varan closed her eyes and began changing as a bright white light engulfed her, blinding Naruto.

Naruto opened his eyes and is stunned at the sight in front of him.

Pink, well groomed hair tight in a ponytail reveals a furrowed, tense face. Bulging sapphire eyes, set sunken within their sockets, watch slowly over the spirits they've bled for for so long.

Fallen debris left a mark stretching from the bottom of the left cheekbone , running across the nose and ending above her left eye and leaves a burning memory of a new life.

The is the face of Varan, a true genius among dragons. She stands awkwardly among others, despite her strong frame.

There's something inexplicable about her, perhaps it's a feeling of comfort or perhaps it's simply her kindness. But nonetheless, people tend to thank her for her service, while spreading rumors about her behind her back.

The stunning pinkette walked up to Naruto and kissed him passionately.

"I thank you, child. Now, what can I do to repay you for releasing me?" Varan asks.

"Can you please get me outta here so I can rejoin my team, Please, Varan-san?" Naruto asks respectfully.

Again, Varan smirked, loving the respect being given to her by this Human boy.

"I will also give you our Summoning Contract, please tell me your name, Human."

"I am Naruto Uzumaki of Konoha, oh mighty dragon."

Varan's eyes widen suddenly.

"D-did you say Uzumaki?"

"Yes, why? Is something wrong?-"

Naruto was silenced by Varan kissing him again, leaving Naruto confused and breathless.

"Only a true Uzumaki has the intestinal fortitude to be our Summoner, and since your blood freed me from my prison proves that you are of Uzumaki blood."

Varan turns to her Brother.

"Dear Brother, please make us an exit."

"Of course, Sister." replied Grynot, before blasting a crater-sized hole in the wall of the cave, allowing the trio to escape.

Naruto closes his eyes to try and sense his team, but he can't sense them, meaning that they're already heading back to Wave without him.

"Damn it, Sasuke!" Naruto growled in anger as he punched the ground.

"What troubles you, Naruto Uzumaki?" Varan asks.

"The one that betrayed me is no longer on the island and neither are the other members of my team." Naruto says as his eyes flashed red for a brief second.

"We'll take you to Costrorus, which is our realm to train you for three days."

"OK." replied Naruto.

"While in our realm, time is accelerated and the gravity is roughly 2,000 times that of earth's gravity so we'll give you a special seal so you won't be crushed to death, Naruto-kun." said Varan.

"Oh yeah, before I forget." Naruto said quickly before making a Shadow Clone.

"Oi, what's up Boss?" the Clone asks.

"Go to Tazuna's house and tell everyone there that I'm still alive and to wait for me this time." Naruto tells his clone.

"Sure thing, Boss."

"Grynot, please take Naruto-kun's clone to where he needs to go." Varan says.

"Of course." the second dragon said with a nod.

(Two days later)

(Tazuna's Bridge)

Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and Tazuna are facing down Zabuza and his apprentice, Haku.

"So Kakashi, it seems that you are missing one of your brats, the blonde one that got you out of the jam last time." Zabuza says arrogantly.

Sakura drops her head in sadness, a few tears fell from her eyes.

"Tch, why are you talking about the loser? When I, an elite Uchiha is right here ready to crush you!"

"To put it simply, Naruto-kun is a lot more interesting of a person and a better adversary to face in battle." Haku said, blushing under her mask.

(Costrorus)

Naruto stepped forward through the unfamiliar portal resembling a star gate. He's immediately met by a gloomy world. The ground beneath his feet is cracked and dry and the air is hot and dusty. The blonde can feel his skin begin to sweat and his lungs burn with each breath. Shrieks and yelps are heard all around him, but it's impossible to find their sources.
Regardless of the horrible conditions Naruto is at ease and you feel secure in this world. Mostly because of Varan being by his side.

In the distance Naruto heard growls and grunts of creatures of a literally and figuratively different world. While they show the blonde little interest, Naruto makes sure they don't get any closer. He see traces of lean creatures, scaly creatures, and what you think might be crawling creatures of some sort.

"Now, the first thing we need to do is remove that malevolent presence that resides within you, Naruto-kun."

"I-If the fox is extracted from me, I-I'll die, Varan-san."

"You will be given the spirit of a Kaiju that will make you vastly more powerful than you are now." Varan explained.

Meanwhile...

(Bridge)

"You two are no longer needed." Gato said he casts a lecherous glance at both Haku and Sakura.

Just then Lightning cracked the sky sending heaven's light across the sky, garnering everyone's attention.
