Chapter 2
Days Later
Lucas had been keeping a close cautious eye on his wife. She had just been sleeping for two days. Staying in bed wasn't like Brooke at all. Even on their honeymoon she had activities and plans for them to accomplish.
He hadn't really been sleeping much himself. They really wanted that baby and to no longer have that. Hurts more then either of them could of prepared for.
Lucas placed the tray on the bed. And tried to wake her up.
"I've been up for hours. I just don't want to get out of bed." Brooke admitted.
"You've got eat and drink. Get out of this room. Come on Brooke." Lucas pleaded.
Brooke swallowed hard and looked up at him.
"I've been so lost in my own feelings. I haven't taken a second too. Think about you and how you might be feeling. I'm sorry for that. We both are experiencing a loss." Brooke proclaimed.
Lucas sat down beside her. Taking her hands in his.
"I want this experience to bring us together. Not tear us apart."
"I love you." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"I love you too." Brooke replied.
"This looks good. I want to make sure you're taking care of yourself." Brooke added in. As she began to eat the breakfast he had prepared. Fried eggs. Bacon. French toast.
Once the couple both had something to eat.
They showered together. Taking care of and just showing love to each other through actions.
Neither of them especially Brooke were ready for anything more then that. Sex was far from their minds.
The couple had healing to do.
