This story does not start out as one might think nor will it potentially end that way. Such is the nature of life being written by the wise and unfeeling hands of fate, you may control your destiny but fate⦠that is not a thing controlled by anyone but Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos.
This tale begins with tragedy, as most good stories do, a mother passed during the birth of her only child leaving a grieving father and a new-born daughter to navigate their new life in Athens, as it was in ancient times and not how we currently know it. Now our story focuses on the daughter, unfortunately not yet named. As a young child her life was not what her mother had envisioned for her, full of hardship her father was a loving man however he did not want to raise his child without his other half once clay together before the great separation of man by Zeus. At the tender age of eight her father left her with a neighbour while he went to work for the day, only he never came back. This was the time our protagonist first found a name with a love the all things dawn and a preference for the God Apollo it was decide that her name would be Andromeda Dawnthella named for her beauty and that which she loves most.
As I said this story is a tragedy as such more hardships will befall out darling Andromeda. As the age of thirteen was kidnapped by an agent of Nemesis who had fallen in love with her mother from a far and was jealous of the man who claimed her heart and abandoned her child. This agent was meant to bring Andromeda to Nemesis to be raised with the goddess, however he had an ulterior motive as Andromeda's father had cheated him out of a large sum of drachma. He took her to a place far away from Athens out of the eyes of Nemesis and to a place where her parents' dead bodies were hanging for her to see.
Now not much is known about what happened in that clearing when Andromeda was brought before her father's rather freshly dead body and her mother's half rotting corpse but we do know that Andromeda managed to escape the grasp of this unknown villain and flee to Crete where she was placed under the protection of Aphrodite.
You could say that this is where our heroes' story truly begins but as we all know the best place to start is always at the beginning as the fates intended.
