"Sometimes things look bad and they're really not. Sometimes there's another explanation for what's going on."

Lucas debated with himself to throw her out or hear what she has to say. And as far as he was concerned nothing she said would make a difference. Yet he decided to hear her out.

"Talk but make it quick." Lucas replied.

"I was in no place to be a parent. I didn't actually plan to get pregnant. I was involved with people i shouldn't of been. They don't call me hurricane Taylor for nothing."

"I kept my pregnancy to myself. My parents were dead. Quinn doesn't live in town. But Haley does and i really didn't need her judgement on my life choices."

"I knew that you and Brooke had been married awhile and didn't have kids. Honestly i meant what i said in my note."

"The biological father never knew i was pregnant. It was a one ight stand."

"I had moved around alot back then. But once i got pregnant and had him. Something in me changed."

"After a year of doing this on my own. I knew i couldn't handle it."

"I'm not proud of the choices i've made. Throughout my life."

"Yet making sure my son ended up in a safe loving home. Is my biggest accomplishment." Taylor explained.

"We did what you requested. Alaska has a loving stable home. With people who would do anything for him."

"What do you really want Taylor.? Why can't that be enough.?" Lucas questioned.

"Please understand. My life has been a constant blend of days that blur together. But i'm stable now."

"I have decent job. A place to live that isn't a hotel. I like myself."

"I want to get to know my son. And i want him to know me." Taylor announced.

...

Brooke felt as if her head would explode. She paced along the entrance of her store. It was closed.

She took deep breath. Trying to process what Lucas had told her about his encounter with Taylor.

"How selfish and stubborn and just plain wrong can she be!"

"She wants to meet him. Be his life!"

"No! As what.? I'm his mother!" Brooke exclaimed.

Lucas focused on Brooke.

"Forget i mentioned this. You're getting angry and upset."

"Let's breath and take this step by step." Lucas insisted.

Brooke took a long sip from her water bottle.

Then took a seat.

"When he's 18 and can fully grasp who she is. Then she can have contact. It's too much right now."

"He's not ready." Brooke proclaimed.

...

"You need to leave that foster home. You being treated like this is wrong." Jack stated matter of fact.

"I'm at their mercy until i'm 18 and free to live life on my own."

"I'm not exactly a model foster kid. I've run away plenty. We both have. I just need to wait it out. Live on the streets is not something i want to relive." Sam replied.

"You can just spend the night in my room again. I'll get us breakfast." Jack requested.

"I don't want to burden you. You got adopted by people who care about you." Sam replied.

"That doesn' t mean we stop being friemds." Jack stated matter of fact.

Sam's true feelings for Jack were way more then friendship at this point. But he had this new life going she wouldn't get in the way of that.
