Chapter 1: Pre-Show Interviews
Scene 1:
Mario from the Super Mario Bros. is shown adjusting one of his white gloves when a voice calls him right out of nowhere.
"So tonight's the big night yet again, huh?"
Mario immediately looked up only to see his rival/friend Sonic The Hedgehog approach him with a big smirk all across his face.
"I see we're not alone on that logic, are we?" Mario asked the blue speedster.
Sonic, as cocky and confident as he was, said with such swagger, "I'll take that as a yes, then."
"And yes it shall be," Mario nodded. He then adjusted his hat before saying, "The first Rumble may have not ended in my favor, but I'll make a-sure I'll give it all the got the second time around. This time, my eyes will be on the prize."
"It's all about that brass ring no doubt." Sonic nodded with confidence still rushing through his veins. "And considering how much I'm the fastest thing alive, I know a thing a two about grabbing rings. Tonight, if it manages to come down between you and I, expect me to be the one to grab that brass ring in the end."
"Yeah, in both of your dreams, mate." Said another voice out of nowhere.
Mario and Sonic immediately heard that Australian accent coming from nowhere, forcing the two to stand next to the person who called both of them out, Crash Bandicoot.
"You two may have similar dreams of winning that top prize, but so do I." Crash said with pure confidence, "Except mine are gonna be quite big with the number I drew."
"Ah, really? What kind of number did you draw?" Sonic asked the Bandicoot.
Without showing anyone watching at home, Crash pulled out his number from his pants and showed it both to Mario and Sonic, who appeared very surprised and stunned at what they were seeing now before their very eyes.
"Mamma mia!" Mario shrieked.
"You're right," Sonic nodded over to Mario, "It's gonna take me a while to last just to get to the number Crash drew."
"What can I say, mates? Seems like I got the luck of the draw." Crash smirked again.
"Yeah, you definitely do." Mario nodded as well, "And I'll do everything I can to make sure I meet you in that ring."
Sonic then smirked over to Crash, "What he said. So when we do clash in that ring eventually, I want to see what Crash Bandicoot is made of."
"You got yourselves a fight, mates." Crash said to both Sonic and Mario, "May the best plumber, hedgehog or bandicoot win."
"I'll bow my hat to you then." Mario said, all while straightening up his hat.
The segment then ended with all three gaming icons staring down at one another, only for Dan Hibiki from the Street Fighter series to appear right beside them unseen without Mario, Sonic or Crash noticing in the first place.
This staredown lasted for a good several minutes before Dan cut off the silence by holding up a flyer in front of their faces, "Free Saikyo Style Application anyone?"
His voice immediately startled the three of them, Sonic most of all as he turned to Dan, "Hey, you ain't supposed to be here!"
"Aw, come on! I just wanted to be part of the moment, that's all!" Dan said, whining like a child.
"You're kinda ruining it for us, mate." Crash muttered out to Dan.
Dan scoffed with laughter saying, "How am I ruining things for the three of you? That's preposterous."
"Well, for one thing, Dan. You're not actually in this Rumble this time." Mario said, shaking his head.
"Maybe in your head, at least." Dan replied in front of the legendary Italian plumber. He then cleared his throat saying, "But when I hear the two words 'Royal Rumble' come through anyone's lips, you know I gotta be involved one way or another. And what better way to show the world my true Saikyo Style skill than the Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble II? But to change the subject, anyone want to enroll in my Saikyo school? It's free for beginners, but you gotta pay $100 for free parking!"
"GET OUT!" Shouted both Mario, Sonic and Crash.
Dan got himself startled by the loud noise, which was enough to make him finally leave the locker room in peace. He then muttered to himself on his way out, "Geez, I don't know what I did wrong. All I promised them was free parking…"
Scene 2:
The camera immediately got a good look at the current AEW backstage interviewer Alex Marvez, who right now was standing alongside the foursome that was identified as Byleth Eisner, Dorothea Arnault, Ferdinand von Aegir and Constance von Nuvelle from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
"Ladies and gentleman, what you saw right there was pretty much a small glimpse of what we can expect to possibly happen in the 2nd annual Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble." Alex said to the camera, "Anyway, I want to welcome you all to the official Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble II Preshow, happening right here in Chicago, Illinois. And with me right now are four very special guests who you can expect to be confirmed in the matchup itself. Of course, standing with me at this very time are Byleth Eisner, Dorothea Arnault, Ferdinand von Aegir and Constance von Nuvelle from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Byleth, I have to say, you picked what seemed to be the most interesting group of individuals I've ever seen. You think in your honest opinion that these three that you've chosen to join you will help you or them lead to victory if it comes to you four all the way in the end?"
"As crystal as it is and as white as snow, Marvez." Byleth nodded to Alex before continuing with a determined look, "These three have helped me through thick and thin when it comes to helping me bring true order and peace to the city of Fodlan. They were with me all the way to the beginning and no doubt they'll be with me all the way to the entire end. And they understand if it comes down to me and them at the final four, I know I will not go easy on them as they know they will not go easy on me. They'll have to bring me their best from the lessons they learned from me back at Garreg Mach, and we'll be teaching those 146 competitors a lesson they won't soon forget. This Royal Rumble will be a true test of our skills and with everything that's set to come at us with no warning, we won't let the goddess down."
"Interesting stuff, Byleth." Alex nodded as he switched his focus over to Dorothea. "Speaking of which, Dorothea, you were also with Byleth down at the last Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble in which you three were able to form an alliance with Marth. Although we can't know for sure if Marth will be competing, how will your alliance with these three standing before you hold up in this Rumble?"
Dorothea immediately replied in a pleasant mood, "To be honest, Marvez, I'm 100% certain. Certain as a performer about to make an encore in front of a capacity crowd worth of thousands in attendance. As far as we see it, me and my friends will treat this Rumble as our own personal stage, and the rest of those opponents we face are the performers who are willing to follow us on our lead. But they fail to realize that without any experience, they are bound to stumble across the lines. And when that happens, they'll be bound with a case of stage fright. We'll be the ones that will lead them to defeat in that stage itself, and before they know it, our skills will leave them breathless all the way to the final act. And whoever is left standing in the end regardless if it's me or my friends, they know this Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble II will be our stage to command.
"Interesting comments indeed, Dorothea." Alex nodded, all before turning to Ferdinand. "And now let's have a word with this fine young gentleman standing right beside me, Ferdinand von Aegir. Ferdinand, you're looking very confident going into your first ever Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble. Any thoughts?
"If you're talking about thoughts of victory, then you can agree that I am indeed confident of my chances." Ferdinand said with such swagger. "As a true noble, my ambitions towards this Royal Rumble will be as simple as always. It's to make sure to keep my friends close and to keep those enemies we face closer. I can't imagine what happens if either one of us keeps our guard down long enough to be eliminated. But it's something I barely worry about in situations like these. Besides, with all the training I've learned from our dear professor and the friends I've had by my side, this Rumble will be one of ours for the taking. Or my name isn't Ferdinand von Aegir!"
"Interesting observation," Alex nodded, all before looking next to the blonde who was standing before Ferdinand. "And now we're gonna have a word with the one and only Constance von Nuvelle herself. I'll tell you, the Professor definitely chose quite an interesting competitor in you to represent this Rumble."
After sniffing the signature blue flowers she held firmly onto her hand, Constance put the flowers before finally speaking on the microphone, "Oh, Alex, I am far from interesting. I am the most graceful, most intriguing, most captivating and to top it off, most voluptuous of all of the students our dear professor has recruited. My electrifying presence will bring this video game Rumble the flair it has been missing for quite some time. The rest of those competitors, minus the professor, Dorothea and Ferdinand of course, will be hit with a magic so devastating that it will be enough to neutralize an entire army of warriors surrounding us. What kind of magic are you speaking about, Marvez? The magic that only House Nuvelle can only conjure up in a matter of seconds. And as the lone survivor of House Nuvelle, I will carry on my mission to ensure victory and continue my steps to restore my house on this journey of–"
Before Constance could say that final word however, she found herself immediately cut off for some reason, forcing her to turn to the right and ask sternly, "Um, can I help you?"
It wasn't long before the camera backed away and saw the entire Jericho Appreciation Society (which was Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, Anna Jay, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, "Cool Ang" Angelo Parker and "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard) appear and stand right before the foursome.
"Of course, I can help you Missy." Jericho said to Constance with an arrogant snarl, "Who on earth made your promos? Some crap-flinging monkey with a cue card. I swear, that stupid idiot Eddie Kingston can speak circles around you and I hate his frickin' guts way more than you four ancient assclowns combined. And before you even ask why are we doing here to begin with, it's because we are the Jericho Appreciation Society, daddy! We go anywhere we want. We do whatever we want. You four got a problem with that, we'll have the rest of these men and women standing right beside me answer for you so that way they can spare me the trouble."
Jericho attempted to talk some more only for Byleth to cut in, "We do have a problem. It's the heartless acts you and your heathens have committed here on this Earth alone. We all know what they are and quite frankly, me and the rest of my students don't condone those actions of yours."
Chris Jericho tried to find an answer to Byleth's comment, but only for the loudmouth of the group, Matt Menard, to step in for no apparent reason and speak on behalf of the JAS leader.
"Who are you to judge Jericho, huh?" Matt snarled over to Byleth, "You some sort of private eye? Maybe some sort of interrogator? Look, what we and Jericho do is none of your business! If we want to cause trouble, we can. If we want to cause mayhem, we can. And if we want to do it for the love of that ever delicious green, we can. So whatcha gonna do about it, huh?"
"Well, I do know what I'm gonna do about it." The professor nodded before drawing out his signature sword, The Sword of the Creator. From there, he continued on with a vengeful look all while pointing the tip of his sword towards Matt Menard's nose, "I won't be afraid to send you to the Goddess if you dare speak for your cowardly leader once again. I don't care if what I do is sinful, it will be the only way to use your head as an example to show your boss what I can be capable of."
The tip of the dangerous sword itself was more than enough to make Matt Menard shiver in fear, leaving Matt to back away for the time being. Luckily for him however, his teammate Sammy Guevara stepped in at the nick of time.
"C'mon, you obviously think WE'RE gonna be scared of some little toy blade?" Sammy said to Byleth with an annoyed chuckle. "Please, the spots I've pulled off were way more scary than that. You think one little blade is gonna be more than enough to stop the entire JAS?"
Byleth attempted to answer that question for himself, only for Ferdinand to respectfully step in on behalf of his professor and say to Sammy in his face, "Not just a blade, but an entire group of students that the professor himself has trained that are way more skilled than you can ever believe or imagine. And we won't be afraid to take the JAS down when it comes to the numbers game. Believe me, we have everyone from Garreg Mach Monastery ready to bring each and every single one of you down if needed."
"Are you sure, assclowns?" Jericho said to Ferdinand, all while looking at Byleth, Dorothea and Constance respectfully. "Because as far as I see it, there's only four of you and only seven of us. So you're only three stupid idiots short of that little requirement." Jericho then looked to Alex Marvez with a disgusted smirk, "You know, I was wrong. Make that two since you have that little monkey Alex Marvez standing beside you four, but the only thing he's good at doing is holding the microphone and looking like a complete dumbass."
"Leave him out of this, Jericho." Dorothea said, standing up to the JAS leader. "Your problem's with us, not with Marvez or anybody. So if I were you, I'd think twice and leave without insulting the professor. Because trust me, you wouldn't want that to happen to you nor do the rest of those little kindergarten buddies you hang out with."
Not taking this verbal abuse from the Fodlan brethren much longer, Chris Jericho immediately forced the newest member of the Jericho Appreciation Society, Anna Jay, to step up in front of Dorothea looking very unintimidated.
"Who are you to call us kindergarten buddies, huh?" Anna Jay said, threatening Dorothea to her face. "We are loyal bretheren to Chris Jericho here. He's the man, who alongside my good personal friend Tay Conti, helped me see the light. They helped me escape the Dark Order and now with me in the Jericho Appreciation Society, I am now much more dangerous, deadly and dashing than any of those stupid pathetic females in that AEW locker room. Don't believe me? Go ask Ruby Soho. I made that bitch tap out using her own hand cast. And I might do the same to you and the rest of your friends if you continue to piss us off any further. Because trust me, you're not just talking to not just the Anna Jay, but Anna J.A.S."
Dorothea didn't take that little threat from Anna Jay sitting down as a matter of fact.
So much so that he replied with a raised eyebrow, "Anna J.A.S., huh? Maybe that should be a fitting last name for you. In fact, I definitely know what J.A.S. oughta stand for a person like you: Jack Ass Skank!"
That little insult coming from Dorothea immediately angered Anna Jay to the point where her own teeth was gritting out with rage. And it led her to a point where Anna Jay used her best hand to slap the songstress in the face…
…
…
…
…only for Dorothea to dodge Anna Jay's slap and reply with such a hard slap of her own, getting the first shot and leaving Anna Jay right on the floor!
"Agh, my jaw…" Anna Jay muttered painfully, leaving her to tend to the rest of the JAS members.
All except for Chris Jericho though as he verbally shot back at Byleth in anger, "You wanna fight fire with fire, jackass? Well, here's a fireball from the wizard himself!"
It was there that Chris Jericho immediately drew out his hands together in order to attempt to conjure up one of his signature fireballs.
But before he could attempt to throw it over to Byleth though, the green-haired professor immediately drew out his Sword of the Creator and slashed Jericho's clothes into ribbons, leaving his entire clothes ratty and torn down while also showing a few scratches as well! This immediately left Jericho surprised, shocked and humiliated of what just occurred right in front of them now.
"We're now warning you, Jericho Appreciation Society. Leave now or pay the consequences." Byleth replied, all while holding his sword towards Chris Jericho.
The bandleader knew that no matter what he'd do, it was all gonna be pointless to prove Byleth in this mood and manner. It was there that he had no choice but to retreat for the time being.
"You four haven't seen the last of the Jericho Appreciation Society!" Chris warned them in return before taking off and saying to his group, "Let's go. Let's not waste their breath on them."
"This ain't over!" Jake Hager spoke out to the bunch, right before he followed the J.A.S. out of the picture for the time-being.
A few seconds passed before Byleth turned his attention to Alex Marvez and sent out one final warning on the mic, "Alex, I promise you that if they even dare mess with us again, we won't show them any mercy whatsoever."
Scene 3:
The camera got a good look at AEW's other backstage correspondent, Lexi Nair, who was standing right next to both Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan from Uncharted inside the locker room.
"Ladies and gentleman, I'm standing right next to the men who will be competing here tonight in the Video Game All Star Royal Rumble II for a chance at mystery prize to be announced earlier tonight by the show's host." Lexi said to the camera, all before she turned to Nathan. "And one of those returning from the last Rumble is Uncharted's own, Nathan Drake, whom we saw put in quite the performance last time he was in the ring. Nathan, do you think you can outdo what you did from the last Rumble?"
Nathan then replied with a confident smile, "Lexi, you're talking to a man who has traveled to the most dangerous places all around the world, all while dodging the most trickiest of obstacles and the most evilest of baddies. If I can fare quite well in the jungles, I can definitely do the same in the ring just like I proved it in that last Rumble I was in. But now it's the 2nd annual Video Game Royal Rumble and I'm gonna have to rely on survival skills once again to make sure I get the victory this second time around. Only this time, I'll be having ol' Sully with me this time since he's been dying to get in that ring. If Ric Flair can still tear it up in that ring at 73 years old, just imagine what Sully here is capable of at his age."
"Is that true, Victor?" Lexi said as she turned her attention to Nathan's mentor.
Being asked this question in front of him, Victor smiled as he held out his cigar in pride, "You better believe it, honey. Nate's been training me hard for an event like this for quite some time. He knows how bad I want to beat the ever loving crap out of that commie that is Niko Bellic. Hell, that's the reason I wanted to be in this Rumble in the first place. It's to get a piece of him and send that Ruskie back to whichever cold front he came from. But in order for me to get that chance, Nate here had to train me hard for the past few weeks. I mean, we're talking about weight training, pullups, pushups, medicine-ball tossing, bag punching, drinking egg yolks nonstop for breakfast–"
"Oh, that's crap, Sully. You were making omelets." Nathan said, rolling his eyes to Victor.
"Yeah, in your mind that was." Sully pointed to Nathan before looking back to Lexi, "The point here honey is that Nate's turned me into a diesel beast. With my new-found muscles and an open mind, I'll send those 148 youngsters back to school where they're gonna belong, sweetheart. And if it comes down to me and Nate, I want to let him know that I won't go easy on him every step of the way. This teacher is ready to ace this test in this Rumble. Mark my words, Lexi."
Scene 4:
The King of Fighters's lead protagonist, Kyo Kusanagi, was busy adjusting his signature gloves all while sitting in his stool in the comfort of his locker room.
He adjusted it one more time to get in a nice clean fit when all of a sudden, a voice was heard talking out to him, "So, I never thought I'd have the pleasure to share a locker room with last year's champion."
That voice immediately forced Kyo to look up and look at the man who was now standing before him: Liu Kang from the Mortal Kombat series.
This prompted Kyo to stand right up and smirk out in confidence, "And I never thought I'd have the pleasure of sharing the room with Earthrealm's champion himself."
"A title I wear with such honor given to the creators of the tournament themselves." Liu Kang replied honorably.
"I bet," Kyo nodded before replying yet again, "So what would exactly happen if I were to eliminate you tonight from the Rumble match? Maybe I could take your place as Earthrealm's new champion, perhaps?"
Liu Kang immediately replied with a chuckle, "I highly doubt that would happen tonight. I don't think I would give my title to somebody whose ego rivals Johnny Cage's that easily."
"You really think so, huh?" Kyo raised an eyebrow, all before he drew out his signature flame in front of Liu Lang's face. "To tell you the truth, I can be a little cocky. But at least I know how to back it up. And if we have to meet one on one in that ring, I'll have to show you why."
Just to make things even between him and Kyo however, Liu Kang proceeded to draw out flames in his hands and point them straight to Kyo's face in return, all while saying to him, "That's a challenge I'll be glad to accept. That way I'll show you why I was earned the title of Earthrealm's champion."
"Fine by me." Kyo said, still displaying that cocky smirk of his.
The staredown both Kyo and Liu Kang continued on for a good several seconds before a marshmallow came out of nowhere and started to roast around Kyo's open-flame hand.
Kyo immediately noticed this right away and turned to the right saying, "Um, what the heck are you doing?"
It wasn't long before the camera backed away to get a good look at the person who roasted the marshmallow on Kyo's hand, which just turned out to be the A-list actor himself, Johnny Cage.
"What can I say, I was busy getting a craving for roasted marshmallows." Cage shrugged over to Kyo. He then took that roasted marshmallow and scarfed it down right away in front of Kyo and Liu Kang, right before smirking to Kyo with his mouth full, "I'm not lying, man, these marshmallows taste even better without a campfire."
Scene 5:
The leader of the StarFox crew, Fox McCloud, was busy standing around the interview area waiting to be interviewed by Alex Marvez.
When the camera finally began rolling however, Alex turned to Fox and replied, "Fox McCloud, you are here once again returning for the 2nd annual Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble, unfortunately one of your partners in the form of Falco Lombardi had to bow out due to an injury that he suffered a while back training for this event. How will that affect you coming onto tonight?"
"You know Alex, questions like that doesn't worry me at the slightest." Fox said with pure confidence. "Even with or without my partners, I prove my worth everywhere I go and anywhere I can set foot in, even if it's in space, the battlefield or in that very ring itself. So to answer your question, Marvez, sure I am a little distraught that Falco's out, but the good thing for me is that Krystal's gonna have my back like last time. I've always relied to her for help in the past, and with her by my side, the mission of winning this 2nd annual Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble will be one either me or Krystal will accomplish when this is all–"
"Oh, don't waste your breath, McCloud." Said a voice off-screen, who cut off Fox's finishing sentence.
All of a sudden, the camera backed away a bit to see Fox's arch-rival/bounty hunter Wolf O'Donnell step in right in front of Fox and Marvez, revealing him to be the one to cut off Fox's promo.
"Well, I never thought we'd meet yet again." Fox said to Wolf in an unamused tone.
"Indeed, but only this time, I've seemed to enter this little Royal Rumble that you and Krystal are taking part in." Wolf replied back with an evil smirk, "I'm really guessing she's forgot about the " every-man-and-woman-for-themself" rule. It would definitely be a shame if she was standing right beside you and the next minute you know, she stabs you in the back and throws you out of the match. I can guarantee you that there's something so sinister behind those lost, luscious, captivating bedroom eyes of hers that even you wouldn't know, Fox."
Fox then gritted his teeth with anger so much that he got close to Wolf's face and snarled, "I don't know what you're starting, but don't you even DARE bring Krystal into this. I trust her well enough to know what she's doing and what she's capable of. She knows it's every man and woman for themselves just like I do. If you honestly think she'll betray me like this with a simple rule like that, you're obviously delusional in the slightest. Me and Krystal will stay as one no matter what until the end. And if it comes down to me and her as the final two, she'll understand that I won't take it easy on her the same way she won't go easy on me. That's the only way she and me will settle things on my terms, not yours and yours alone, Wolf."
Wolf once again formed a devious smirk as usual, all before crossing his arms intimidatingly and said, "Whatever you say, Fox. It seems that my words will not be enough for you to see the truth however. But before I finally leave you however, just remember these words coming from my lips: Actions… speak louder than words. Think about that, McCloud."
Then, all of a sudden, Wolf O'Donnell finally left the interview area all by himself, leaving Fox McCloud alone to scathe in anger at what Wolf said.
Fox immediately turned to Marvez to say in closing, "Marvez, if I were you right now, I wouldn't trust Wolf one bit at all. Not that he can EVER be trusted to begin with."
Scene 6:
The camera switched back over to one of the locker rooms to where Dante from the Devil May Cry series was being shown polishing one of his signature twin guns, Ebony and Ivory. After applying a bit of polish onto the cloth, he rubbed it all around the trigger hole cleaning the bit of rust off in order to give it that clear look that he needed.
Dante immediately inspected the gun once more before muttering to himself with a smile, "There we go. Looks good as new…"
"You know, I've never seen anyone handle a gun so firm like that…" Said an alluring voice coming from off-screen.
That seductive tone that voice gave out to him was more than enough for Dante to drop his gun and lay out a charming smile to the person who appeared right before him on camera, which turned out to be Morrigan Aensland from the Darkstalkers games.
"I see you've been admiring my handiwork, huh?" Dante smirked to the succubus in return before replying, "Well, you wouldn't believe how many poor suckers felt the end of these twin babies of mine. They're busy laughing at you the first minute, then the next thing you know, they're busy spending the night in the comfort of an open grave."
"I bet that sounds thrilling for you." Morrigan smirked back a bit seductively. "But then again, I'm also impressed by the… body of work you've built just for yourself."
"How so?" Dante asked curiously.
Morrigan found herself gently walking all around him in circles just by the sound of her delicate high heels, all while her delicate hand started to caress his chest gently without any trouble. From there, she whispered to him in a seductive manner, "Well, for one thing, those eyes that burn with an ounce of intrigue and vengeance, a body that's sculpted by angels but delighted by demons, and an aura that brings out such sexual emotion in a man. I don't know about you, but I really find that attractive in you, Dante…"
"Ah, so you have…" The devil hunter replied, obviously awestruck by the attractive tone Morrigan gave him.
"I have…" The succubus nodded before looking eye-to-eye to him. He then clung onto him and caressed his chest more erotically before whispering to him even more, "I'm looking for a mate who I know I can rely on to get me through this little extravaganza we're taking place in tonight. Maybe you would like to volunteer for my services? I promise you, I can give you a lot more than just… pleasure."
Just the ounce of dirty talk Morrigan was throwing out to the devil hunter was more than enough for Dante to exchange in a smirk that would make a woman's insides melt like a piece of delicious chocolate fudge. As much as he wanted to be sucked in her hypnotic seductive powers, the will of the devil inside him was too strong to resist her in a playful manner.
"If this is a way to seduce me, I wouldn't quit my day job." He smiled quite vengefully, "Just so you realize, I'm in this just like you are, lady. And if we do have to meet up in that ring, just know that a devil like me isn't to be underestimated one bit. Hope you know what I can be capable of."
"Oh well, at least I tried with you, I guess." Morrigan rolled her eyes playfully, "I guess maybe I'll go search for another helpless soul who knows how to help a fragile lady quite like me. Who knows? Maybe he can be quite useful to my sinful adventures…"
And just like that, Morrigan separated herself from the devil hunter and proceeded to drift off. But before she could do that however…
…
…
…she felt a gentle yank from her forearm and immediately found herself pulled in by Dante herself, which caught Morrigan by surprise.
He then proceeded to wrap his arm right around Morrigan's waist and pull her close to him with a grin on his face, "But you know, since you are here. I wouldn't mind finding a partner to give me quite a pre-Rumble workout since I won't come into the match until later. Care to volunteer, my lovely…?"
"Mmmmmm, that I don't mind…" The succubus winked with satisfaction, all while treating Dante with a nice kiss on the lips.
It wouldn't be long before the kiss started to turn passionate between both the devil hunter and the succubus, leading both Dante and Morrigan to engage in a hot and heavy makeout session as a result. The teal-haired succubus even managed to climb up on Dante's lap in order for him not to escape, which was working right away considering Dante didn't want to fight back this time around.
The two weren't quite alone though as both the devil hunter and succubus didn't notice the locker room door had creaked quite wide open, only to reveal that Ryuji Sakamoto aka Skull from Persona 5 was right behind the door taping the whole session with his phone.
Ryuji displayed quite the horndog smirk on his face while muttering out to himself, "I am soooooooo glad I came here today…"
Scene 7
The camera switched right over to the interview area where the lead protagonist of Final Fantasy VII, Cloud Strife was shown alongside AEW backstage correspondent, Lexi Nair.
She then turned over to Cloud, "Ladies and gentleman, with me right now is one of the competitors returning from the last Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble, Cloud Strife. Cloud, you immediately set a record for being the longest lasting competitor in the match, lasting all the way to the final three starting from the #1 spot. Unfortunately, it didn't crown you the winner of the 1st annual Video Game All-Star Royal Rumble, which of course was won by Kyo Kusanagi. How will you fare this second time around?"
"Lexi, you know how much interviews are not really my thing," Cloud said with his arms crossed. "As a hired mercenary for AVALANCHE, my mission and my goal remains as simple as it is: Arrive. Fight. Get paid. Leave. It really doesn't matter if I enter #1 or #150, I will do the job that is given for me and I'll be on my way. If everyone has a problem with the way I act, then I won't be afraid to let them know why they call me one of the most dangerous men ever to walk on this Earth. It will be a proven–"
Then, all of a sudden, Cloud suddenly found himself cut off when he looked up and remained both speechless and silent of what he was seeing off-screen. Lexi immediately faced the direction Cloud was looking at and felt her jaw drop in unbelievable horror at the same unseen image Cloud was seeing right now.
Yet, Cloud remained defiant as ever long enough to speak up to the unseen image off-screen, "Looks like I didn't expect you to be here out of all things."
The camera managed to back away and scroll up a bit to reveal the figure that Cloud was now speaking to, which turned out to be Rick Taylor from the Splatterhouse franchise. Lexi watched in shock and awe as she saw Rick's size and strength tower over Cloud just by several inches in height.
This staredown occurred for at least a good 15 seconds before Rick stared down to Cloud and smiled through his signature hockey mask, "I like your hair. Think I'll keep it."
It was all that Rick said before the superfreakish yet super tall monster slayer left the interview area, leaving Cloud with that stone cold glare still attached to his face and leaving Lexy still at a loss for words.
"I legit don't know what to make of that…" Lexi muttered to herself, therefore ending the interview segment.
Ah, and that finally brings an end to the interviews for now.
But guess what? That was only Part 1 though. Part 2 will involve the entire Pre-Show itself. What will happen you may ask? What will I have planned? Well, either way, you'll just have to find out until the next chapter rolls around of course!
But until then, here's what we know about the confirmed competitors, both returning and new combined.
Confirmed to be Returning: Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, Byleth Eisner, Dorothea Arnault, Nathan Drake, Kyo Kusanagi, Johnny Cage, Dante, Morrigan Aensland, Cloud Strife

By the way, those who have been deconfirmed to be in the Rumble possibly due to injury or other reasons, I promise you that they will be in this story one way for another for different reasons. I don't know what I got planned for them, but I promise you'll like it story-wise and all. Anyway, you know what to do, feel free to read, review, add this story to your favorites and leave feedbacks for me if you wish since they really help me a lot.
Until next time, peace and love, y'all.
