Pete had just entered the warehouse and looked at the computer and saw an artifact disturbance in the stacks.
He raced down to the aisle and saw Claudia frozen with a look of sheer terror on her face.
He followed her gaze and saw her frozen, staring at Ed Geins human face mask. He sprayed it with the neutralizer goo and saw Claudia shake her head and look at him.
"Pete when did you get back you left a few minutes ago." Claudia stated
Pete glanced at the mask and took Claudia's hand leading her out of the aisle.
"It's been hours since me and Myka were sent for the artifact we just got back. I saw a disturbance in the stacks and found you in this aisle frozen staring at Edward Geins human face mask. I neutralized it." Pete said
"What does that artifact do ?" Claudia asked
"It causes the victim to freeze in place and fills them with dread and shows the memories to the victim along with psychological pain. But once neutralized it's just a creepy mask and whatever it made you feel and see is pulled out of the victim and pulled back into the mask." Pete told her
They suddenly heard footsteps getting closer to them very quickly and saw Myka appear next to them.
"Oh thank god you guys are alright I saw the alert and rushed here." Myka breathed out
"I neutralized the artifact." Pete informed Myka
"I take it that you rescued Claudia then ?" Myka asked
"Yep." Pete replied
"Which artifact was triggered ?" Myka asked
"Ed Gein's mask." Pete answered
"Well at least once it's neutralized the victim has none of those horrific memories, but why were you in the serial killer aisle anyway ?" Myka asked
"I didn't know we even had a serial killer aisle. I was just doing the inventory and found it." Claudia explained as she shuddered at the thought
The three walked back up to the office where Artie was doing his thing watching for anything that looked like an artifact was being used.
The three then headed to Leena's to unwind.
"Thanks for saving me from that artifact and please don't let me go back into that aisle without one or both of you around to get me back out." Claudia said
