Lucas couldn't speak or even look at Brooke. She wanted and insisted on honesty. But he had caught her off guard.
He gaze burning holes into him.
"Let's give them some time. Come on Hales. We should make sure we have enough variety of food and drinks." Nathan suggested.
Instantly picking up on something being off between his brother and close friend.
Once Haley and Nathan were out of sight. Back inside the beach house.
Brooke's gaze locked on her husband.
"How could you say that to me! What the fuck!" Brooke exclaimed.
"I'm not saying any of this to be mean. I'm being honest like you asked."
"So because i fought to keep our daughter alive. I'm somehow the enemy here.?" Brooke questioned.
"It's not that exactly. She's delayed Brooke. She walked late. Talked late. Her learning disability makes reading and fully grasping concepts so much harder."
"She's basically on her own at that school. She's very shy. We don't know how much more difficult things will be as she gets older."
"It's not the life i wanted for her. You heard what the doctors said and instead of listening you let you're stubbornness lead the way. And i'm angry about that."
"You got what you wanted. She lived but at what cost Brooke.?"
"I'm not just going along with what you want anymore."
"taylor and Alaska are going to meet. He's going to know she's his biological mother. Whether you like it or not." Lucas proclaimed.
"Stay away from me the rest of this weekend." Brooke replied. Before storming out of the car.
