Into The Sunset
Chapter 28
Being loved is the problem, because love is a demand - when you're loved, someone wants more of you."
"I didn't know you were gone." Brooke said. Walking over to where Lucas stood in the entryway of the home.
On the walls were pictures of captured moments with Naley and their children.
"I had an errand to do. Have you calmed down enough so we can talk.?" Lucas asked.
"Have i calmed down.? You ask that as if i have no reason to be upset or angry. I'm not sure which hurts more."
"You going ahead with this Taylor situation."
"Even though i am supporting her presence in our son's life."
"Or you blaming me for Sage. As i wanted everything to happen the way it did."
"She's going to be perfectly fine."
"She has us. What more does she need.?" Brooke asked.
"Admit that if we aren't tuned in to the Brooke Davis show. Every second. The world falls apart. "
"You have to be in control of everything.! This is where you and Taylor are so different."
"She's grown and evolved. Meanwhile you."
"Are the exact same. Insecure. Parental issues filled."
"Void of reality you were in high school."
"Alaska is my son too. I can make choices for his life without you're stamp of approval."
"Victoria and you are one in the same. Maybe if you stopped trying to deny that. You would find some peace." Lucas exclaimed.
"I need some time apart from you." Brooke admitted.
...
The rest of few days at the beach house. Were spent with Brooke and Lucas playing a part.
Once they eventually got back home. And picked up Sage and Alaska.
The couple did what was needed and made it seem like nothing had changed.
...
"Brooke stop it. You weren't serious about leaving." Lucas said. Looking to his wife.
"Yes i am. And i'm taking Sage with me."
"Since she's too much of a burden for you too handle. She'll live with me." Brooke replied.
"I never said anything like that!" Lucas exclaimed.
The bedroom door busted open.
"There's a shooting at Jack's college!" Alaska exclaimed. The panic in his voice at an all time high.
