Secret Crisis: The Kang Dynasty Chapter 2
The Citadel, Beyond the end of Time,
Kang The Conqueror stares out to the void of the timestream. Cold. Calculated.
"What is it my love?" Asked Renslayer walking up to her lover.
"Nothing Ravona. Just pondering." Kang replied.
"What is there to ponder? You were put here to save all of mankind." Explained Renslayer.
"They won't understand. They'll fail to see the bigger picture. To see what lies ahead unless I Conqueror them." said Kang.
"KANG THE CONQUEROR!" shouts a voice.
They both turn to see The Specter Oliver Queen in the flesh.
"Impossible" said Kang.
Oliver blasts Renslayer with a blast from his hand.
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" shouts Oliver.
Kang simply raised his hands up not wanting to fight.
"Allow me to show you." he said.
Kang shows Oliver the distant future of Earth Prime. A post-apocalyptic wasteland.
"Earth Prime isn't long for this timeline. Not at all. For you see? One of the most powerful beings to ever live is the cause of its downfall. It's end. The destruction of this timeline, this earth. Under her rule." Explained Kang.
"Her?" Asked Oliver.
Kang then shows him a Throne room. Statues erected in her honor. Superman stripped down of his powers and in chains. And at the head, The Scarlet Witch.
"Wanda?" Asked Oliver.
"Yes. Ms. Maximoff. The Darkhold will corrupt her beyond saving as not even the mighty Sorcer Supreme can stop her. The most powerful reality warper at the helm of a hellish rule. Now I've come from the 30th century where technology eclipses that of your most intelligent. I have an army that is undefeated in battle. With it, we will end the Scarlet Witch and Conquer earth. I will not lie to you Mr. Queen. I will not enjoy this. What pains me the most is that I know your friends will not surrender. Even against such overwhelming odds ahead of them. But I must do this. It has to be done to save your timeline. Even at the cost of one life in particular." Explained Kang.
"You won't win. You won't hurt anyone. The heroes of Earth Prime will defeat you. Past, present and future." Explained Oliver.
"Future? Hmm. Does that include your precious Mia?" Asked Kang with a chuckle.
"She'll be the one to put an arrow right between your eyes." assured Oliver.
"We'll see." Added Kang.
Oliver then gets grabbed by Doc Ock and her tentacles, restrained in place.
"As much as you came all this way for little ol me, which I'm very touched, you'll just get in the way." Explained Kang.
As Olivia tightened her grip with her tentacles, Kang walks up to the Spectre.
"I know Madame Web has sent you across the Multiverse as part of some sort of quest. But that will only delay the inevitable. That inevitability being one thing that I actually want you to send a message back to your friends for. Spider-Man. Will. Die."
Kang raises his hand and sends Oliver back to the present.
"Well done Olivia. But now your next task begins."
"I live to please" she tells him.
"Good. Let the incursions begin" Kang said with a Sinister smile.
The Waverider,
"Hey where's the fire Cap?" Asked Spooner
"Gideon plot a course back to New York. UATU! WE NEED TO TALK!" shouts Sara.
The Watcher Uatu makes a return with the Guardians of the Multiverse along with Loki, Sylvie and Mobius.
"What is it Sara Lance?" Asked Uatu.
"How many of me in the Multiverse are there where I'm a Sorcerer... whatever?" she asked.
"Hmm... Earth-637. Why?" he asked.
"Last night I had a dream where another Doctor Strange and other me were trying to get to some weird book with a kid who can open portals." Explained Sara.
"Was it the Darkhold?" Asked Astra.
"No. It was brighter and more not super evil Necronomicon looking. Like it's polar opposite." Explained Sara
Strange Supreme then came to the realization of what she's talking about.
"The Book of Vishanti?" he asked.
Sara then remembered her dream with echoes of America saying the name.
"Yes. Yes that's the one" she answered.
"I thought it was supposed to be a myth." Explained Strange Supreme.
"Anyone want to explain what this Book of Vishanti is?" Asked Nate.
"Long ago, the Gods of Vishanti along with Agamotto himself came together to write the Book of Vishanti as a way to contain the most powerful white magic known to exist. Only used for defensive purposes of course. It was to be the antithesis of the Darkhold itself. To where the Darkhold corrupts whoever reads its pages, the Book of Vishanti grants those who read the magic powerful enough for whatever the situation needed. A book of pure good made to fight against a book of pure evil." Explained Constantine.
"My mother would tell me stories of this book. She believed it to be a fairy tale." said Loki.
"She's technically right mate. But only it's real. Which means whatever had Sara seeing another version of herself trying to fight to get it, means something big is coming. Do you know how this dream of yours end love?" Asked Constantine.
"There was this monster. Made of like ribbons or something. I remember the other Strange and I stayed behind so the kid could escape. The kid opened a portal and the three of us got sucked in and that was it." Explained Sara.
"Can you try to paint a picture of what this kid looked like?" Asked Captain Carter.
"Pretty young. Latina. Uh, denim jacket." said Sara remembering what she could.
"Perhaps we should keep an eye out for this child. She could possibly be a valuable asset in the fight against Kang." said Uatu.
"Only problem is, where's this earth's Doctor Strange?" Asked Sara.
Just as she says this, the Waverider was picking up danger in New York.
"What's the happs Gideon?" Asked Sara.
"I'm detecting an unknown entity in the streets after what appears to be...a child." Explained Gideon.
"Put it on screen" said Ava.
The live feed shows some invisible force after a teenager running for her life..
"Wait. Zoom in" said Sara.
The camera zooms in and enhances on the teenager currently under siege.
"That's her" said Sara.
"Do you think we can make it in time?" Asked Zari.
Sara and the Legends all get seated as she takes her captain's chair.
"Well when life is a great big bang up, and whenever there's a hang up, you'll find the Spider-Man" assured Sara.
