Author's Note:

"In regards to Chase 12 being deleted, I realized too late that that was a project that was still being workshopped, and not the story I intended to post. I really need to stop doing overnight benders, they make me do dumb things when I realize them a day or so too late. This next story, is essentially what I was intending to post, despite it not being original. Originally, I wanted to post a story that still differed from most Ben 10 stories on and off this site, while still keeping to the core concept that is Ben 10.

So, I decided to try something different, and this is the story I wanted to do initially. Chase 12 is a project that still needs constant re-workings, and this story isn't perfect by any means, but this was the story I wanted to tell. Chase 12 was a story for another time, because it was incomplete, but the Disclaimer for this new story is still very much the same. I hope you enjoy either way,"

DISCLAIMER: This story is for mature audiences and isn't meant for younger viewers, or those who are easily triggered or offended by the mentions of mature themes, such as abuse, death, and other stuff that falls into that category. So, if you're very young, or easily triggered or offended, I recommend you leave this story, because it won't be to your liking. I intend to update this story whenever I can, but I can't make any promises. Enjoy.

(Hospital)

In a hospital, tirelessly working doctors and professionals were trying their best to keep people alive. In one of these beds, was a man, trying to cling onto life, even if he didn't know it. The man looked to be in his late teens, so about 21. He had very white skin, practically pale as a ghost, his outgrown and shaggy dark brown hair cascaded down his face, obscuring what seemed to be his blue-green eyes, showing little to no reaction or sign of life.

Outside of the man's room, a couple doctors watched on, and seemed to have come to a decision. They walked in and attempted to unplug the life support from the wall, until something happened... The man disappeared. The sound of the machine flatlining sounded out, yet the man himself was gone without a trace. They frantically looked around for the man, but alas, to their sheer disbelief and unfathomable confusion, they couldn't find him.

"Where the hell did he go?! Did he get up from the bed, did he jump out the window?!" The doctor wondered, brushing her hair out of her face as she continued to look.

"I don't think so, Doctor. There's no sign of the bed being disturbed, nor has the window been opened. He quite literally vanished without a trace, it's like something spirited him away, or something." The Nurse remarked, taking his mask off as he examined the bed, seeing that it was undisturbed, yet it lay empty.

"So, I'm gonna ask you again... where the hell did he go?" The doctor asked, concerned and flabbergasted by what just transpired. The nurse just sighed and put his mask back on.

"I have no idea, doc. C'mon, let's go on break and think this through once you've calmed down and ate somethin'. My treat." The nurse offered.

As the two walked out of the room and made their way to a break room, they didn't seem to notice the odd neon green oil-like substance on the roof of the empty room. That substance painted an emblem, one of the last emblems that the man ever saw before disappearing...

A Green hourglass emblem.

(Indescribable Void)

"I Surrender!" A panicked voice called out, echoing throughout the void as a plethora of lights went by, colored in white, blues and greens.

The man looked around, his pale skin retaining a bit more of a healthy caucasian color, though his eyes were a faded tint of blue-ish green. The man grit his teeth, rubbing his head and covering his eyes from the numerous rushing colors flying by at lightning speed. This place, this void, it hurt to look at. Not like he could do anything to get out of it, he had no idea how he ended up there.

'Is... Is this the afterlife? Huh, death felt a bit more calming than I thought... sucks I died alone though, but at least I'll see them again... maybe.' The man thought.

"I wouldn't count on it, mister Decaddson. Typically, a dead man would have a halo over their head. If this is what heaven is like, then religion may be a bit overrated for you." Another voice called out.

The man whipped around, trying to keep himself in-balance from the odd sense of weightlessness he felt in the void. He seemed to feel an odd pit in his stomach as he bore witness to a man. A man he seemed to recognize all too well.

"Wh-what the!? Y-You're-" The man was having a hard time believing what he was seeing, and for him, seeing was believing.

The man walked naturally through the void, his slick back black hair unmoved and undisturbed by the rushing void. He was dressed in a leather lab coat dyed white, though seemed stained by numerous gray splotches, ranging from what looked like ash and soot, and what looked like scorch marks from a fire. He wore what looked like a steampunk styled set of lab goggles around his neck, yet wore a black vest with a dark navy dress shirt underneath. He had red jeans and what looked like big snow boots with an odd green-colored fur trim. In one of the man's hands was a rusted silver pocket watch attached to an even more worn out pocket watch chain, and the other hand was dressed in a bronze glove, whilst holding some kind of cane with an odd transparent crystal sphere on it.

"Y-You look... much different than I remember." The man wondered, staring at the man's attire.

The man chuckled and clicked a button on the pocket watch, causing the void to come to a stop, and dropping the man on his ass. The man groaned as he steadily got up and rubbed his side.

"Trust me with my word, young man, my looks will vary from universe to universe. You must be overwhelmed, to be given a massive dose of revitalization to your health, am I right?" The man asked, his British accent speaking with a cryptic sense of calm in his tone. "Can't have you dying on me yet, Marcus. You know of me, so you must know of why you're here, correct?"

"Just because I recognize you, doesn't necessarily mean I know what you want. I'm surprised to still be alive, let alone be made healthy and capable again, so you obviously want me for something, why not just explain to me what you want?" Marcus asked curiously. "The fact that you know my name, first and last, I feel like you've been watching me for some time."

"I've kept an eye on you since you became hospital-bound, so for a good few months. Quite the nasty case that befell you, cancerous tumors growing along the inner walls of your stomach, quite the nasty way to go," The man smiled and faced Marcus. "Good thing I'm here to tell you that your time in your world has come to an end... but, that doesn't mean you're done, necessarily."

Before Marcus could ask what he meant, A blistering dark black portal opened in the void. "Tell me, are you familiar with the genre, better known as 'Isekai' by chance?" The man asked. Marcus nodded with uncertainty and was then pushed by an unknown force into the portal, grabbing onto the man before he could fall all the way through, "Good, consider this your story. This universe, it takes place in a world I know you're familiar with, somewhat. Go forth, once you know where you are, you'll know what to do."

Before Marcus could wonder what that meant, the man undid the man's grip on him, letting him scream as he was dragged through the portal. As the portal closed, Marcus flailed through the black void, hearing a number of ear-splitting noises as he fell through. Before he could comprehend what exactly just happened, everything suddenly went white, and silence was all he could hear.

The last thing he could hear was someone calling for him, before the silence overwhelmed him.

"Benjamin, get up or you're gonna be late for school, son!"

Author's Note:

Yeah, this is the story that I wanted to do. I wanted to try an Isekai-styled story, with a fresh coat of that Ben 10 paint covering every crevice of it, just to see how it evolves from this point. I'm gonna update it as soon as I can, but at my own pace. Hope you enjoy this first chapter, because I do intend to continue it, I have big plans for this one.
