Secret Crisis:The Kang Dynasty Chapter 5
Peter turns on the faucet of the Waverider bathroom giving his face a refresh of water. He let's our a deep sigh trying to pull himself together. Before he could look himself in the mirror after drying his face, he felt someone behind him courtesy of his Spider Sense.
He quickly turns to see Sara behind him without even making a noise.
"Jeez you knew I was coming?" she asked.
"Spider sense. Remember? Let me know whenever something threatening is coming my way." Explained Peter.
"Guess you're the one person I can't sneak up on. How you holding up?" Sara asked.
"Barely hanging in there. But I'll live. You seen Courtney around?" Asked Peter.
"She's been hanging out in the cockpit gazing out the window. Hasn't said a word since." Explained Sara.
Peter grabs his backpack he took after stopping by at his apartment before coming back here.
"Do you mind?" Asked Peter asking for a little privacy to change.
"Ah geez. I'm sure Barry will be able to help right?"
Peter changed into some normal clothes while packing his suit up. As he was able to get his pants on, he grabbed his plaid button up as Sara got a quick glance of his abs as he puts on the shirt.
"Jesus did getting bit by a spider give you abs?" she asked.
"Yeah basically" said Peter putting on a sweater.
"I literally train every day for several hours and you get a spider bite and boom. Right there." said Sara.
"Hey. As much I'm very confused about whether or not I should be Flattered or not, I'm spoken for. And so are you." said Peter making final adjustments and putting on his shoes.
"I know it's just...I uh... You know what I didn't see anything." she said covering her eyes and turning away.
"Okay?"
Peter grabs his bag as he and Sara take a walk to the cockpit.
National City.
A reality tear opens up as a man falls through the sky.
"Aw man. Not again..."
The man turned out to be a familiar face. The one and only, Peter-3. The Amazing Spider-Man!
As Peter-3 slowly reaches closer to swinging distance, he thwips a web and swings onto the nearest street lamp.
"What the hell?" he asked himself.
He looked around as he didn't recognize this place at all. It sure as hell wasn't New York.
Then the familiar sound of police sirens blared throughout the streets of National City as a car chase was in progress.
"Ah well. No time for questions. Time to go to work!" said Peter-3 thwiping into action.
*cues The Amazing Spider-Man 2 theme*
"Hurry up! Before the Super freak shows up!" shouts a thug
The goons opened fire onto the police convoy as one them managed to blow out their tires.
Peter-3 quickly makes a giant web to save the officers from crashing as he swings forward.
"HEY! IT'S SPIDER-MAN!!" shouts a thug
"SPIDER-MAN?! The hell the bug is doing here?" Asked another thug.
*THUD*
"The hell was that?"
*knock*
Peter-3 signals the passenger to roll the window down.
"Hi. Name's Spider-Man. You can call me, Amazing, Spectacular, just don't call me late for dinner you know what I mean?"
The goons open fire as Peter-3 leaps and dodged the gunfire.
"Hey listen fellas, I'm actually a little lost here so you mind telling me what city I'm even in right now? That would be so helpful!"
The goons continued to open fire with Peter-3 webbing up their guns.
"You'll get these back when you learn to play nice okay?"
Peter-3 lands in front of the windshield and slingshots into it doing a corkscrew move that yanks all the goons out of their ride as they hang from a traffic light.
"I tried to be nice and I get shot at. Perks with the job huh?"
Just then, Supergirl lands on the scene.
"Hey!" she shouts.
"Uhhh. Hi there. Just your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on the case!" said Peter-3
Kara walks up to The Amazing Spider-Man feeling something isn't right. She used her X-ray vision and sees that this was definitely a different Peter Parker.
"You need to come with me." said Kara.
"Oh man I wish I could but I actually have to get back to New York and uh, this place isn't it so...see ya!"
"I know your name is Peter Parker" said Kara.
This caused Peter-3 to stop dead in his tracks.
"I know you're not form this universe. Which is why I need you to come with me" said Kara.
"How do you know who I am?" Asked Peter-3
"Because on this earth, Peter Parker and Spider-Man are my friends and I'm also an Avenger." Explained Kara.
Peter-3 remembered that name. The Avengers. The group he thought was the name of a band.
"Earths Mightiest?"
"Heroes yes." answered Kara.
"Let's go talk" said Kara.
