Secret Crisis: The Kang Dynasty Chapter 10
Peter-1 with his mask off, gazes out from the window of the ship.
"You doing alright?" Asked Sara walking up to him.
"Yeah. You've been getting kinda chummy with me lately." said Peter-1
"Yeah well, a long time ago Kate said that your peppy nature is something you get used to.(Read The Paragon Knights)" said Sara.
"Well. I'm glad I'm warming up to you more and more." said Peter relieved.
"You think you're ready?" Asked Sara
"What do you mean?" Asked Peter-1
"Kang." she answered
"I don't know. All I do know is that I got a family to protect now. I don't think I'm afraid anymore. But I am willing to give my life for them." Explained Peter-1.
"Hey. It's not gonna come to that. I got your back." assured Sara.
"Thanks Sara."
"No I mean it Parker. I've lost a lot of good people in my life and I'm not gonna keep losing them anymore. So when I say I got your back. I. Got. Your. Back. You can take that to the bank." Explained Sara.
"Okay. If you got mine, I got yours then. Deal?"
"Deal" said Sara as the two shook hands.
"Peter Parker! Sara Lance! We have trouble" said Uatu making his appearance.
"What's the deal?" Asked Peter-1
"See for yourself"
Uatu waves his hands showing a live feed of The Avengers attacking Avengers Mansion.
"What the hell?" Asked Peter-1
"Any idea how this happened?" Asked Ava.
"The Avengers were investigating an unidentified alien device underneath in the subways of New York. Whatever this device was, it has corrupted your friends' minds. Including Mia Queen" Explained Uatu.
"Oh man. Not again" said Peter-1.
"Wait this isn't Mia's first time under mind control?" Asked Nate.
"Not exactly." said Peter-1
"So if we find the machine, we save The Avengers" said Spooner.
"Before they destroy the city." Adds Astra.
"So what's the play?" Loki asked
"Let me get down there. I can probably talk them down and hopefully buy you some time to locate that machine." Explained Peter-1
"Not without me you aren't. Look I think I know what kind of machine it was. Nate! Remember some years ago when the Dominators invaded Earth and I was under their mind control?" Asked Sara.
"Yeah why? Wait maybe that's what's going on here" said Nate.
"Good. Good. I'll try to contact Chester to see if he can access the Stark Satellites so he can find out where the machine is under the city." said Peter
"Wait. Dad. I'm going with you!" said Annie-May.
"Absolutely not! You're gonna stay up here with the Legends where it's safer" said Peter masking up.
The Avengers Mansion was seeing heavy damage as Carol's photon blasts and Jane's Thunder strikes were doing serious damage on Avengers HQ.
"Oh man things just got so much worse" said Peter as he and Sara were closing in on a landing.
He swings at the front lawn as the corrupted Avengers Assembled.
"Uh hey guys? Can we talk about this?" Asked Peter.
Mia and Kate then fired arrows as Peter quickly grabs them thanks to his spider sense.
"Guess not" added Sara.
The Avengers open fire as Peter quickly takes Sara behind cover.
"Any ideas how you can talk them down?" Asked Sara.
"I don't know. Wait LOOK OUT!" shouts Peter as Carol fired a photon blast as the two sending them flying back.
Peter then webs Sara close as he finds more cover to hide behind.
"What was that?" Asked Sara.
"That would be a photon blast." Explained Peter.
The Avengers closed in on the two as time was running out.
"Alright. We should split up. I'll go high, you stay low!" said Peter
"Got it!" Sara nods.
Peter then swings up to the roof of the Mansion with Carol, Jane and Riri following him, hovering above.
He then starts thwipping webs to blind them as Peter uses taser webs on the three as well.
He was able to effect Jane and Riri but Carol absorbed it thanks to the nature of her powers as she fired a photon blast at him sending him back down to the ground.
Sara meanwhile was holding off both Kate and Mia, giving herself some distance as her batons clashed with their bows and hits a roundhouse kick on Kate followed by an elbow strike and a knee thrust into Mia.
Sam throws his shield as Sara does a knee slide dodging it as she then gets into a fist fight with Captain America. He uses his wings to fly her onto the Mansion pinning her. Sara hits the new Symbol of Freedom with a headbutt holding onto him as she lands punch after punch to smack him down to the ground.
Bucky then fired his gun at her as she took the hit with her healing factor spitting out thr bullet.
"Chester any luck on finding the device?" Asked Ava.
"I'm closing in on the location now. Just hang tight" said Chester.
"They can't hold them off forever." said Nate.
"I gotta get out there." said Annie-May.
"I'm going with you" said Peter-3
"You can be serious?" Asked Constantine.
"Hey, we may be Peter Parkers from different earths but he's my brother and Spider-Man is gonna help" said Peter-3
Peter-1 dodges and leaps from photon blast, Thunder and repulsors, webbing himself to higher ground and out do the way. Until Jane hits Peter with Mjolnir sending him down.
"Owwwwww that's gonna hurt in the morning" he said crawling and being cornered.
"Uhhh is it too late to call for a time out?" Asked Peter-1
*cues TASM 1 theme*
"WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" shouts Peter-3
The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Girl hit swings kicks in synch taking down Riri and Jane. Then they both web up Carol blinding her and webbing her up overall taking her down.
"Guys?" Asked Peter-1
"The Amazing Spider-Man at your service"
"Don't forget your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Girl.
Jane however sees her hammer, calls it and hurled it at the trio.
Their spider sense all go off.
"LOOK OUT!" shouts Peter-3 shoving Annie-May out the way as Peter-1 webs himself out of the way.
Jane flies in as The Amazing Spider-Man swings in after her but Jane unleashed a storm that held him in place unable to use his webshooters.
Annie-May fired weblines onto Jane as Riri fired missed from her suit knocking her back. Jane then tossed Peter-3 through the walls of the Mansion crashing through the rooms.
Carol then busts through and sees Riri fighting Annie-May as she dives with a flying punch sending the hero onto a tree nearly causing it to break as Peter in an act of rage webs up a truck at Carol directly at her face.
Peter then rushed over his daughter seeing she still had a pulse.
"Guys. Annie's hurt bad. Anything on that mind controlling device?" Asked Peter.
"Got it! Underneath the subway system in Brooklyn." said Chester.
"How many webs do you have left?" Asked Sara.
"Probably not enough" said Peter as the Avengers were closing in.
"Alright you go after the mind control device. I'll deal with these guys." said Sara.
"Take Annie to a bunker not far from here. Roughly around the back. Just hold them off until I find a way to destroy the machine." Explained Peter.
"What are you gonna do?" Asked Sara.
"If I can't destroy it maybe they can. HEY CAPTAIN MARVEL! MIGHTY THOR!!! Let's finally see who's stronger!" said Peter.
Peter swings away as Carol and Jane give pursuit.
Meanwhile Sara carrying Annie-May on her shoulders, rushes her to the bunker to safety with Sam, Bucky, Riri, Mia, Kate, Yelena and Jen on her tail. She puts her down to use her webshooters to lay out a trap to stun them giving her some breathing room.
Peter swings through the streets as fast as he could dodging cosmic energy blasts and lightning best he could.
Peter even runs on the side up a building as Carol fired another blast as he leans back at the last minute. Then sling shots himself up. Jane throws her hammer only for his Spider sense to kick him ducking out of the way and Mjolnir hitting Carol in the face.
He dives forward as he sees the subway entrance in sight quickly getting to the tracks below as he found the machine.
His spider sense goes off as he was ready and gets into his signiture fightpose. Jane and Carol dive in at full speed as Peter jumps around being a hard to hit target.
"Too Slow!" he shouts.
He then swings through the pillars trying to make a giant web for them to stick on knowing it won't stop them but it was part of the plan.
"What is he doing?" Asked Gary.
"I think he's pissing them off" said Gwen.
"He's a Spider-Man alright" said Peter-4
"I think pissing them off us part of the plan" said Strange.
Meanwhile Sara sees an elevator at the end of the hall giving her a sign of sanctuary ahead.
But as she hits the button, it was going at a very slow rate.
"You gotta be kidding me!"
She looks behind her as time was almost up. So she puts Annie-May down somewhere safe and prepare to face the music.
She takes in a deep breath as Yelena readies her batons.
"Alright. Let's go"
Sara goes after Yelena first as Bucky joined in swinging his vibranium arm as she ducked about and landing a few kicks in the former Assassin. Bucky then grabs her arm with his vibranium arm as Sara punches him to get free followed by getting him into arm bar and kicking the side of his head.
Sam throws the shield at her sending her back. Yelena sprints towards Sara swinging her widow batons as the two ladies clashed theirs with Sara knocking Yelena's out of her hands and clubs her face and body. Yelena counters by activating her stingers and hits body shots on Sara as the electricity stuns her.
Sara fights back with grabbing Yelena's arm and smashing her elbow on the side of her face with Yelena swinging with a hook into her.
Sam throws the shield again, this time missing and giving Sara a weapon by smacking Yelena in the face with a backhand.
Kate and Mia fire arrows as Sara held the shield for dear life holding her ground. The two archers then run straight at her double teaming Sara as she tried to hold them back with Sam flying in with a double kick and Riri blasting repulsors for good measure.
She Hulk then goes for Sara sprinting towards her causing the ground to shake. Sara quickly rushes under Jen's legs sliding and started to chop the 6'7 big woman down hitting as hard as she could especially with her kicks and hits her face with a backhand. She Hulk did not like this. She let's out a roar and grabs Sara to toss her across the way hitting the elevator buttons.
However as She Hulk was about to rain her fists down, a Cresent blade lands in front of them as it blinked faster and faster exploding in a flash of light.
Sara then saw who it was.
*cues Moon Knight theme*
Khonshu's Fist of Vengeance has arrived just in time.
"You alright?" Asked a British voice.
"I'm fine." said Sara.
"Do these belong to you love? Oh by the way names Steven Grant. That's Steven with a V by the way" introduced Marc Spector's other persona handing Sara back her batons.
"Nice suit" said Sara as Steven helps her up.
"Oh thank you. I like yours too." said Steven.
Marc then takes back control as the Moon Knight suit reforms.
"What's the deal? Why are the Avengers going insane?" Asked Marc.
"They're all under alien mind control. Spider-Man is handling the source of it all" Explained Sara.
"Alright. Let's buy him more time." said Marc pulling out more Cresent blades .
"You brought backup with you right?" Asked Sara.
"Best I could do on such short notice." said Marc.
As She Hulk was running towards the two, out from nowhere came a Billy Club smacking her in the face.
*cues Daredevil theme*
Daredevil joins the part as the sound of a Van driving through was heard as none other than Frank Castle aka The Punisher was making a beeline hitting Jen as the other Avengers barreled out of the way.
The Punisher and Daredevil joined side by side with Marc and Sara giving some much needed help.
"Will this be enough?" Asked Marc.
The Avengers all rise up and prepared for battle.
"It'll do" said Sara.
Both sides clash as meanwhile Peter keeps aggroing on Jane and Carol until ultimately he gets blasted in front of the machine.
Carol and Jane were about to charge in for the killing blow. But they were right where Peter wanted them to be.
Fist and hammer first the two mighty avengers zoom over at Peter only for him leap into the air right at the last minute for them to crash into the machine, destroying it for good.
Peter lands as he takes off his mask. Limping towards the two as they feel the effects subside.
"Peter?" Asked Carol.
"What happened?" Asked Jane.
Back the the Mansion, the rest of the team returned back to Normal.
"Hey Pete! Whatever you did, our friends are back." said Sara.
"Sara? Oh thank God you're alright. I was worried that She Hulk might have pulverized you" said Peter.
"Gee thanks. But luckily for you. I had some help"
"Parker?"
"Matt?"
"Khonshu told me what was going on so I brought some help" said Marc.
"Your lady friend got lucky we showed up just in time" said Frank.
Annie-May gets to her feet as she sees the Avengers shaking off the effects of the mind control.
"Ugh. Never again. Mind control? Not a fan" said Kate
Sara goes to collapse on the ground exhausted.
"Sara?" Asked Annie-May and Mia run over to her.
"I'm fine. Just give me a minute. Parker! You're gonna have to find your own ride back to the ship. I'm done" said Sara laying on her back.
Peter chuckled as he realized he's out of web fluid.
"Damn it. Alright Sara. I'll meet up with you in a bit. Have the Avengers find Peter-3 and I'll make my way back. Parker out"
"Oh God we didn't hurt you did we?" Asked Jane.
"You didn't kill me. Guess my day is looking up" said Peter.
"Oh I'm so sorry. Uh. We're so sorry" said Carol.
"You're not the first superheroes to be kind controlled" said Peter as the three shared a group hug.
"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow." said Peter wincing.
"Sorry!" said Carol and Jane.
"Do you mind giving me a lift back to the Mansion. I don't wanna miss my ride on The Waverider." Peter Joked.
