Secret Crisis: The Kang Dynasty Chapter 11
"So let me get this straight. Kang was the one who attacked the Sanctum and sent that dominator device to have us tear the Mansion and you guys apart?" Asked Sam.
"Yeah basically" said Peter.
"He's trying to test the waters with us. Systematically break us down one by one. Turn us against each other so we wouldn't have a chance at winning." Explained Strange.
"He clearly he failed." said Sara.
"Perhaps. But perhaps not. He said he's playing a game of chess so every move he makes has a long game. Meaning given how Avengers Mansion is essentially out of commission, we won't have a place to coordinate any decisions or plans to fight back." Explained Strange.
"Well I mean we still have the Hall of Justice. Maybe the Fantastic Four would let us borrow their lab in the Baxter Building or maybe Professor X can lend a hand from his School of Gifted Youngsters." suggested Peter.
"Wait. The Hall is perfect. We need to assemble the team anyway." said Sara.
"I'm afraid the Justice League won't be enough either." said Strange.
"So we get everyone. Avengers, Justice League, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Defenders. Anyone with a suit or who can fight." said Peter.
"He's right. The more heroes we find, the better our chances our at defeating Kang and his army." said Uatu.
"So where do we even begin?" Asked Zari.
Peter too a moment to think and had an idea.
"We go to where the strongest army and metal in the world is from"
"Where?" Asked Sara.
"Wakanda"
*cues Black Panther theme*
The Legends head for Wakanda after hours of flight entering Wakandan airspace.
"You better hope this works Parker." said Sara.
"Well considering Strange and I teamed up with him during the Elseworlds, I figured we outta be cool." (Read Avengers Elseworlds)
"Well let's hope Wakanda is friendly to a time traveling space ship." adds Ava.
"You did tell T'Challa we'd be coming right?" Asked Strange.
"Uhhhhhh?"
But before Peter could answer, the ship gets shot down by a cloaked Wakandan Anti Air cannon.
"I might have forgotten to give the heads up" said Peter.
"Everyone strap in and BRACE!" shouts Sara.
The ship crashes in a nearby field close by to the palace making a hard landing.
"Everyone okay?" Asked Sara.
Everyone just gave a thumbs up as the answer.
"Well alright. Gideon see if you can reboot the ship. We need eyes on any potential search parties about to be on our asses" ordered Sara
"I could possibly cloak us giving Gideon sufficient time she needs if you wish?" Asked Loki.
"I can do that faster" said Strange.
"Oh I bet you would Sorcerer!" replied Loki.
"Oi wankers! Enough with the pissin contest will ya?" said Constantine.
Peter's Spider Sense goes off as the three continue to argue.
"Uh guys..."
"What?!" Shouts the three.
Everyone then turns to see the Dora Milaje en route lead by Okoye, weapons at the ready.
"We got company. Everyone stay here. I got this" said Sara.
"Uh. Shouldn't Strange and I go with you?" Asked Peter.
"Relax. I'm just gonna explain what happened and hopefully they will let us in." Explained Sara.
She goes out front as Okoye and the Dora Milaje meet her face to face.
"DON'T MOVE! STAY WHERE YOU ARE!" ordered Okoye spear at the ready.
"We come in peace. We're here to see T'Challa." Explained Sara.
"Who are you?" Asked Okoye.
"Sara Lance. Look we need the Black Panther's help so if you could take my friends and I too him that would be awesome." said Sara.
"*Surround her*" ordered Okoye in Wakandan
The Dora Milaje aimed their Spears at Sara about to make an arrest.
"Hey whoa whoa whoa! I said I'm peaceful!" said Sara.
Okoye laid the spearhead on Sara's jugular vein forcing her to get on her knees and hands raised in the air.
"Fine then. Have it your way"
Sara extended her baton and smacks the spear off. Okoye signaled her troops to stand down and make space.
Sara gets into battle pose as as Okoye twirls her spear into hers.
Sara goes for a strike with her baton as Okoye would swat it away with quick speed keeping Sara at a distance until she got a hit on her with the bottom of the spear knocking her down on her ass.
"Surrender. I'll promise your death will be quick." said Okoye.
"Not my first time" said Sara combining her batons into her staff again knocking the spear away.
But this time, Okoye was in the defensive as she goes for the kill shot with the spearhead with Sara just barely blocking and holding her back with the weapons of both women clanging loudly with every time either Sara or Okoye tries to land a hit, they'd meet each in the middle evenly matched with Sara attempting to use her momentum to push Okoye forward just a few feet only to meet in a test of strength. Neither moving an inch.
However Sara used an opportunity for a kick to Okoye to set up a swing from her staff into am overhead strike with the Wakandan General blocking at the last minute. She then used her spear to knock out Sara's staff from her hand going for body blows as Sara counters with blocking them until she gets hit on the back of her head knocking her down, spear on her heart.
"You are a worthy opponent Sara Lance. But for Wakanda, you must die"
Okoye goes for the killing blow as Spider-Man leaps into the air, yanks the spear and webs up Okoye's hands as he lands in front of everyone.
"Okoye stop!" shouts Peter
Doctor Strange arrived with Tao Mandalas at the ready as backup.
"Spider-Man? Doctor Strange?" she asked.
"Sara Lance is our friend. We've come here for T'Challa's help. And yours too." Explained Peter.
"It's not overselling that the fate of the Multiverse is at stake." said Strange.
Okoye Signaled her Dora Milaje to stand down as she offers a hand for Sara.
"Come with us. All of you"
Okoye leads Sara, Peter and Strange to T'Challa's Throne room saluting her king.
"My king! We have visitors."
"I can already see Sara Lance made the foolish mistake for attacking my general and my entire Dora Milaje." said T'Challa.
"What's that's supposed to be? Your body guards?" Asked Sara.
"Yes." he answered.
"Now what is the purpose of your visit?"
"A being from the 30th century has recently attacked Kamar-taj and nearly succeeded in destroying Avengers Mansion by turning the team into his personal puppets. He's got an army that spans across timelines and universes that he claims to be unbeatable. Unless we all band together and stop him." Explained Strange.
"Who is this being?" Asked T'Challa with his interest peaking.
"Kang the Conqueror sir. Uh I mens your highness." said Peter.
"This Conqueror claims to have an army that is unbeatable. We shall see about that! You have the Black Panther and the full might of Wakanda at your side. Let us see how mighty this Conqueror is." said T'Challa.
"Oh thank God. Well that was easier than I thought. But uh, you think we could have our ship repaired since y'know, we got shot down on the way in?" Asked Peter.
"Of course. We shall help repair your ship in a matter of hours. Do you have any injured with you?" Asked T'Challa.
"We do actually. Doctor Strange and another me from another universe and my daughter from the future.." said Peter trying to hope what he said doesn't sound insane.
"Hmm. You are a father in the future? I am not surprised considering we fought side by side with the children of Iron Man, Captain America, Green Arrow and Black Widow. Bring your friends. That way we can continue the discussion about this...Kang." said T'Challa.
"Thank you your highness" said Peter grateful for the Wakandan hospitality.
