The Kang Dynasty Chapter 13
As T'Challa and Peter head for the banquet hall, they see the Dora Milaje gathered around as they were cheering for something.
"Does that usually happen?" Asked Peter.
"It does not" said T'Challa.
The duo come across what seemed to be a fight club style event where Okoye and Sara were once again battling it out and placing bets.
After what seemed like a humiliating defeat, Sara was determined to get a win over T'Challa's general. However this was not going well as she hoped for.
"Again!" said Sara after getting up from being knocked on her ass for the umpteenth time.
"7-0" said Okoye.
"It's about to be 7-1!"
Sara twirls her bostaff again going for more swings with Okoye effortlessly swatting away the attacks and then does an overhead strike splitting Sara's staff. She followed up with a kick and knocks Sara down again and plants the spearhead just a mere centimeter away from her face.
"ENOUGH!" shouts T'Challa
The Dora Milaje then turned about face as they salute their king along with Okoye.
"As much as this has been entertaining for you, I am cutting this short." said T'Challa.
"We are sorry my king" apologized Okoye.
"As you were" said T'Challa.
Peter leaps over to help Sara up.
"So? Did you win?"
"Very funny" said Sara.
"Shouldn't be much longer until everyone's healed up and the ship is fixed. But we were offered something to eat in the meantime" said Peter.
"Sure. I could use something to eat." adds Sara.
Peter let's out a smile and a laugh as the two followed T'Challa to the banquet hall.
Back at the medical bay, Peter-3 and Annie-May both come to after recovering from their battle with The Avengers.
"Ohh maaannn. Where am I?" Asked Peter-3.
"Wakanda" replied Shuri.
"Wakanda? How did we get here?" Asked Annie-May.
"Your friends brought you here. They sought the assistance of my brother and King T'Challa to help with your cause" Shuri explains.
"Do you know where our friends are then?" Asked Peter-3
"Everyone is currently gathering at the banquet hall for dinner. Which is where I'm actually heading now" said Shuri.
"Lead the way then" said Annie-May.
Peter and Sara see The Legends, The GotM, Doctor Strange, America Chavez, Peter-4, Miles, Gwen and Miguel all already settling in and partaking in dinner.
"Oh man I could use a proper break" said Peter.
"Amen to that" said Sara giving him a pat in the back.
"Oh hey. You guys alright?" Asked Peter
"Mhmm. All good" said America.
"We're fine. Just one less thing off the list to do but a major first step." said Strange.
"But at least we have the most powerful nation in the world on our side. Especially against a time traveling Conqueror with an unbeatable army." said Peter.
"I'll be honest with you kid. I can't shake the feeling Kang might be ten steps ahead of us." said Strange
"Nothing we can't handle right?" Asked America.
"I don't know kid." Strange replied.
"Well, well, well look who finally decided to rejoin her team" said Loki.
"Very funny." said Sara giving Ava a kiss.
"So, we got an army at our side, now what Captain?" Asked Constantine.
"We round up everyone and head back to The Hall of Justice while Peter and his crew head home to New York and we start a plan of attack against Kang." Explained Sara with a sense of exhaustion.
"Babe that reminds me. Kara assembled The League and they've been working on enlisting The Fantastic Four and X-Men and you should expect a call from Charles later today." Explained Ava.
"*phew* Good." said Sara breathing a sigh of relief.
Sara then looks over to see Peter-3 and Annie-May along with Shuri emerge from their rest to meet up with Peter-1 as they all shared a hug and Peter-1 relieved his daughter is okay.
"Babe?"
"Hmm? What is it Sara?"
"Have you...ever thought about starting a family? You know...us having kids"
Ava nearly chokes on her food, coughing and pounding her chest at the idea. After she finally swallowed her food, she turns to Sara with a surprised look.
"Where is this coming from?"
"Parker. The kid is just able to legally drink and he already has a child from the future coming back in time to save the Multiverse with her dad. He probably never imagined himself being a dad. Yet he's already stepping up quicker that even he thought he would." Explained Sara.
"Let's just worry about saving the timeline and multiverse again first." said Ava.
T'Challa and T'Challa Star Lord finally come face to face for the first time.
"How is this possible?" Asked T'Challa.
"The Multiverse. Clearly you and I walked different paths." Explained T'Challa Star Lord.
"Yet I imagine our cousin tried to kill us and take the throne?" Asked T'Challa.
"You would be correct" replied T'Challa Star Lord.
"The more things change, the more they stay the same." said T'Challa.
"ANOTHER!" shouts Party Thor smashing a glass
"Ain't that the truth" said T'Challa Star Lord.
After dinner, The Legends board the Waverider and return home.
"I'm receiving an incoming call from one Charles Xavier" said Gideon.
"Put him on"
"Sara Lance. It's good to hear from you again."
"Good to hear from ya to professor." said Sara.
"We've been brought up to speed on this Kang the Conqueror and you have my X-Men at your service to help with any and all civilian evacuation needs." said Charles.
"We'll begin prepping and be airborne whenever you need us" said Scott Summers.
"Hurry before Wade pilots the Blackbird" said Logan.
"Roger that. Lance out"
"Lance! It's Sam!"
"Go ahead Cap"
"We're still trying to rebuild the Mansion but we manged to at least get the comms up and running again. We've talked to Reed and the Fantastic Four. They're in"
"Copy that. Just spoke with the professor, he's in too"
"Good. We'll report in to The League on this. Heard about you managed to get King T'Challa on board?"
"Yeeeep"
"Good. We'll be in touch. Sam out."
