Secret Crisis:The Kang Dynasty Chapter 14
In a New York Bar, Eddie Brock was drinking and watching the news as he caught the battle between Spider-Man and White Canary vs The Avengers.
"Hey! Can you turn that up a bit bud?"
"We're live with continued coverage of the breaking news of Spider-Man and Legend of Tomorrow White Canary battling The Avengers after the famed premiere superhero team seemed to turn their backs on New York by also destroying Avengers Mansion. J. Jonah Jameson of The Daily Bugle has weighed in on the situation."
"Folks here's the real truth! Spider-Man and his miscreant associate Sara Lance all orchestrated this attack by influencing The Avengers into attacking our city! They're to blame for the attack!"
"My one day off and I miss this" said Eddie taking a sip of beer.
Then another man takes his seat next to Eddie as he lights up a cigar.
"The hell does he know?"
"Looks like Spider-Man trying to save the city to me" said Eddie.
"Hey ain't you that Eddie Brock guy bub?" Asked the man.
"Who are you?" Asked Eddie
"Name's Logan"
"Logan. Well I am Eddie Brock. Question is what do you want with me?" Asked Eddie.
"Clearly you're not as biased as Jameson is" adds Eddie.
"Look man, I'm just a guy trying to keep his job by putting up with his boss' bullshit" said Eddie.
"Maybe we should talk?"
The two men exit the bar as Eddie and Logan continue their conversation.
"I'm trying to tell ya bub. Something ain't right. Ain't no way The Avengers would randomly attack their own Mansion like that for no reason or cause." Explained Logan.
"Hey man if you're trying to lead me to a story that can uncover all this, I appreciate this immensely but you gotta show me what proof you have on this." said Eddie.
"Oh I got your proof for ya. You and your parasite friend" said Logan.
"My. My what?" asked Eddie getting nervous.
"Don't think I don't know about you and your alien living inside ya." said Logan
"I don't know what you're talking about man" insisted Eddie.
"Cut the bullshit Brock! I can smell it inside ya. Also you think it's a bit of a coincidence that back when at the Statue of Liberty where you interviewed Spider-Man next thing you know, I giant alien made of black goo shows up same place you are?"(Read Spider-Man No Way Home) Explained Logan.
"The jig is up Eddie!" shouts Venom.
"Now you coming with me to Bleaker Street or not?" Asked Logan.
Eddie and Logan made it to the Sanctum as they see Wong and Oliver still recovering from the ruins of Kamar-taj caused by Kang.
"Wong?" Asked Eddie.
"Brock? What are you doing here?" Asked Wong.
"We came to see if the Doc was around given the Avengers nearly tried to kill Spider-Man and White Canary earlier." Explained Logan.
"It had to be Kang" said Oliver.
"Kang? Wait excuse me who are you?" Asked Eddie.
"That is the Spectre Oliver Queen and the person who he is talking about is Kang the Conqueror. A new threat that caused what you see here" Explained Wong.
"Caused what?" asked Eddie.
Wong and Oliver then takes Eddie and Logan to Kamar-taj as it was in ruins.
"What the hell happened here?" Asked Logan.
"Kang the Conqueror. Me made the first move by attacking Kamar-taj." Explained Wong
"And likely the second move with The Avengers" added Oliver
Then Wanda finally makes her appearance floating down to see what is going on?"
"Wong?"
"Wanda?"
"You're not safe here. Kang is gonna be coming for you" Oliver said.
"Where's Stephen?" Asked Wanda.
"He is with The Legends and Spider-Man." Explained Wong.
Wanda then uses her mind abilities to search for Stephen Strange across the globe.
"They're heading for Central City. Wait..."
Wanda then picked up energy readings from the Hall of Justice. It was in flames.
"Something's very wrong."
Wanda then finds the scene of The Justice League battling Kang himself.
"He's there."
"Who is?" Asked Eddie.
Wanda gulps with the realization.
"Kang"
The Hall of Justice,
Barry goes to throw a lightning bolt as Kara and Clark use heat vision.
Kang activates his shield and helmet to fired a sonic blast at the heroes.
Batwoman goes for a sneak attack with her batarangs and Mia firing explosive arrows onto the holoshield of Kang. But the Conqueror wasn't phased.
As Ryan and Mia go hand to hand they get quickly reminded how that was a bad idea.
Kang lands a gut punch to Ryan stunning her and leaving her winded as he then goes for a knife hand chop on her throat and blasts her with energy from his hand.
Mia hits a roundhouse nick as she strikes with punches and blows from get bow. Kang grabs her arm and breaks it as he lands haymakers and elbow strikes and throws her across the hall.
Jefferson blasts a lightning storm at Kang as he quickly calls in his floating chair as it fires lasers from it at Jefferson.
Star Girl goes to attack from behind using her Cosmic Staff and striking him across the back of his head. Kang then grabs the staff and headbutts Courtney pushing her off as Jay goes to catch her.
J'onn flies on with Kang blasting him.
"You all impress me, more of a fight than the Sorcerers of Kamar-taj. But not by much"
Kara then flies on with haymakers with Jang using his shield successfully protecting him.
Clark them dials up his heat vision as Barry and Jay go for another attack.
"Tsk Tsk Tsk."
Kang slowed down time as he steps to the side and watches Clark's heat vision slowly move past him with a smile as she restores time causing Clark to hit Barry and Jay instead.
The Waverider arrives and lands with Sara and Peter leading the charge.
"Oh no" said Peter.
"Peter Parker. Sara Lance. Now all I need is Wanda Maximoff and my quest will be complete.
The rest of the Legends and the Guardians of the Multiverse arrive as backup ready to fight Kang.
"This ends here Kang The Conqueror! You are hereby under arrest by the Time Variance Authority for crimes against the Sacred timeline!" said Loki.
"We've been after you for a long time amigo. It ends today!" adds Mobius.
"We shall see" said Kang.
"Guardians! On me!" shouts Captain Carter
She leads the charge shield first as then a sling ring portal opens with Wanda, Venom and Wolverine joining the fight.
The Scarlet Witch fired a hex blast at Kang sending him crashing through a wall.
The rest of The League are helped up by Sara and Peter.
"He's too strong" said Barry
"Which is why we need a trap." said Strange.
"Wong! Oliver! We need your help!" shouts Wanda.
Wong and Oliver join the team as Kang was pissed.
"Dad?!" shouts Mia.
"Mia. Oh God are you alright?" Asked Oliver.
"Kang broke my arm." she answered.
Kang bursts through the walls of The Hall with am enraged Oliver going after him.
"Eddie!" shouts Peter.
"I'm on it."
Eddie let's the Venom Symbiote fix Mia's arm by setting it back into place
"Alright, we just need to keep Kang off his toes long enough to figure out a way to beat him.
Kang and Oliver meanwhile exchanged fists as The Conqueror went up against the Cosmic Spectre.
"Right. Any ideas?" Asked Captain Carter.
"Okay we need Oliver to bring Kang on so we can pin him down and hit him with everything we got. That shield is our top priority." suggested Barry.
"Oliver! We're gonna need you to bring Kang back here. We got a nice trap waiting for him" said Barry on the comms.
"Understood" said Oliver delivering a right hook onto Kang.
Oliver was inbound on the hall so he grabs Kang and with all his strength throws him through the roof.
"NOW!!" shouts Barry
Strange, Strange Supreme, Wong, Constantine all Conjure binding mandalas on the ground as they all form together rings to bind and chain Kang.
Peter-1, Peter-3, Peter-4 all swing and thwip their webs to help restrain him along with Miles, Gwen, Miguel and Annie-May.
Wanda then uses her hex magic to hold Kang's arms and legs in place keeping him weighed down. Kara and Clark then chime in with their ice breath freezing him in place.
"NOW! HIT HIM WITH ALL YOU GOT!!!" shouts Barry as everything from Lightning, magic, cosmic energy, gadgets and heat vision rain down on Kang the Conqueror.
The dust settles as Kang falls to his knees.
"Did we beat him?" Asked Peter-3.
A chuckle began that sent a chill down everyone's spines.
Kang lifted his hand as he starts to take the powers America Chavez.
America starts to get overwhelmed by fear and anger as her eyes turned whitening blue with a Star Portal opening behind her.
Venom snarls as he charges in to save her only to be caught and held up in the air by Kang.
"You. I've been searching for you. You have something I need."
Kang then uses his powers to expell the Carnage Symbiote our of venom to hold in his hand and then toss Eddie far outside the Hall sending him crash landing somewhere in Central City.
While. Kang was distracted, Peter-1 rushes in to save her as they dive into the portals.
"PETER!" shouts Sara running after him with Doctor Strange behind her.
"SARA!!" shouts Ava.
The four fall into the portals unable to stop their free fall into several universes.
Peter tried to grab onto America but couldn't as they kept falling through several worlds and timelines. One was the realm of one of the list powerful cosmic entities The Living Tribunal, a world where giant bees ruled, another with Stark Tech around every corner causing nothing but silence. One underwater, another through the streets of an alternate New York under Hydra rule, another of what seems to be literal hell on earth, another of the Savage Lands which was a world were the Prehistoric Era ruled.
Doctor Strange then finally manages to hold onto America for her protection as did Sara manage or grab Peter wrapping her arms around him tight as he did the same while also holding onto the back of her head to make sure she took the most minimal of fall damage as possible, closing their eyes tight whenever they could land.
They also passed through a world where their bodies seperated into cubes, a universe in the year 2077 in a place known as Night City, an animated old timey cartoon world until finally the portals ramped up in speed as they finally land on an earth.
Earth-838
The four tumbled onto a lush New York rooftop as Strange and America caught their breath. Peter and Sara still wincing and clinging on tight, open their eyes as it was over.
"You okay?" Asked Peter and Strange.
"You saved me" said America.
"Well...yeah I mean, you were in danger so, I save you" said Peter as he let's go and gets back to his feet helping Sara up.
"Suprised you guys didn't puke." said America.
"This isn't my first weird trip kid. So. This is New York in the Multiver...*gag*"
Doctor Strange rushed over puke his guts up.
"There it is" said America.
"Oh God. I don't feel so good" said Peter lifting up his mask to also puke his guts up.
"Aaaaand that's another"
Sara then felt queezy in her tummy.
"Let me guess?" Asked America.
Sara couldn't answer as she tried to gulp but only to speed walk to go puke too.
"Three for three"
