Secret Crisis: The Kang Dynasty Chapter 20
Kang's Domain,
"Where is the girl?" Asked Kang after bringing back Carnage.
"She got away" Cletus answers as Carnage retreats away inside.
"Hmm. As I expected. Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends are providing more formidable than I anticipated. No matter. I've got another job for you Cletus."
Kang then pulls up an image of MJ of Earth-616 Prime. Peter-1's MJ.
"Who's this supposed to be?" Asked Cletus.
"A wise man once said that the cunning warrior attacks neither body nor mind" Kang explained vaguely.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Asked Cletus.
"The heart Kassidy! If I want to kill Spider-Man as is his destiny, FIRST WE ATTACK HIS HEART!" shouts Kang.
Back at Kang's prison in another area, we're the Spider-verse heroes. Annie-May was trying to figure out a way to get out of there along with her companions.
"Back again where we started. In a prison cell" said Miles.
"Except not for long" assured Annie-May.
"She's definitely her father's daughter. Annoyingly optimistic." said Gwen.
"Ignore them. Annie, are you trying to reverse engineer the locks?" Asked Miguel.
"Yeah. Just having a little trouble than I'd like" she replied.
"Maybe we can help" said Peter-3.
"Hang on, maybe I can splice the controls into initiating a system reboot so we would have only a brief moment of going off the radar giving us time to escape before they can successfully reboot the system." Explained Miguel.
"That would mean we would slip on out without them even noticing we're gone" said Peter-4.
"Wait. Miles! You know your Venom punch? See if you can overload your lock so I can get out and help Annie-May." Explained Miguel.
"Alright."
Milea then channels all the electical energy from his venom punch into overloading the lock as he was able to break free.
"Whew. That was easier than I thought"
"Okay good. Now, do the same with me quickly!" said Miguel.
Miles then goes to free Miguel out of his cell.
"Okay. Annie, I'm gonna to give you your window, on my signal and not a second later, you'll be able to shut down the system before it reboots itself. You'll only have but a few moments before the locks start to reset." Explained Miguel.
"Got it"
Miguel got to work as he spliced his way through the main circuits trying to initiate the system reboot.
"Okay. Do it!"
Annie May successfully got all the cell doors open.
"Everyone out!" she shouts.
Everyone leaves their cells as the system reboot takes place.
"Okay. Before anyone knows what's up we need to leave." said Annie-May.
"We need to find Thor." said Miguel.
"How are we even supposed to know where to find her?" Asked Peter-3.
"I've downloaded the schematics for this entire facility. Right here is where we'll find her. By the looks of it, it's by a power supply." said Miguel.
"I think I remember something when they took us, she was strapped into a harness and her powers were being used to charge something up. I don't know what but it could be something bad if we don't stop it" said Peter-4.
"So do we split up? 3 of us go save Jane and 3 of us find the others?" Asked Miles.
"Hmmm. Miles could be right. If we split up we might cover more ground and speed this breakout operation up faster. Okay Miles, Peter-3 and Peter-4 find the Avengers, I'll take Annie-May and Miguel to rescue Jane." said Gwen.
"Alright you guys be safe out there. Good luck" said Miles.
"I'll open a secure line so we can stay in touch and keep an eye on each other. I'll also let you know where to go as I read the map." Explained Miguel.
The Spider-verse nods and splits off to rescue their friends.
Meanwhile outside the prison, Eddie was looking at the facility built in the heart of New York getting a good view.
"Okay? So what's the plan?" Asked Eddie.
"The three of us will shrink through the circuits to let you in without causing a scene." Explained Hope.
"Nonsense! I vote we charge right through head on!" said Beta Ray Bill.
"As much as I agree, that might not be the best of ideas that will work. We need to be smart about this. We could end up horribly outnunbered." Explained Sif.
"Wait, Sif was it? If your supposed to see everything? Can you see where our friends are?" Asked Eddie.
Sif then used her powers of the Allseeing to pinpoint where everyone is. Including Jane.
"Oh no."
"What is it?" Asked Shang Chi
"They're using Jane as some sort of power supply for some damn machine!" Explained Sif.
"Okay, okay, we need to wrap this up then. When you get us in, we run like hell to find them" said Eddie.
"Okay. You can count on us. Ready Cass?" Asked Scott.
"You got it dad!" said Cassie Lang
Eddie allows Venom to come out as the Ant Man family shrinks down taking point and opens the front gate.
"We're in!" said Scott via the comms.
"Alright. Anyone up for a prison break?" Asked Venom.
