Secret Crisis: The Kang Dynasty Chapter 21
Some of Kang's minions were operating on the machine that Jane was powering up with the energy charge inching closer to 100%.
Gwen, Annie-May and Miguel were crawling on the ceiling getting a good look.
"That's her!" said Annie-May.
"Okay. We take these guys down and free Thor." said Gwen.
"And I'll try to figure out how to shut down the machine." adds Miguel.
Annie-May then lowered down with a webline appearing right behind the three guards operating the machine. She then whistled with the guards alerted and quickly were about to attack as then Gwen and Miguel webbed them up for the knockout.
"Okay step one down" said Annie-May.
"I'll try to get this thing shut off" said Miguel on the console.
Annie-May and Gwen then leaped down to free Jane from the harness strapped onto her.
"We're here to help" said Gwen.
Thw girls used their spider strength to tear everything off of Jane as she then collapsed to the ground.
"Whoa. Easy there. You okay?" Asked Gwen.
"The machine. It can't be stopped. I wasn't the main power supply. I was the backup" Explained Jane.
"Shit. Miguel! We got a problem!" said Annie-May.
"Yeah no kidding. This thing is harder to crack than advanced calculus" said Miguel.
"It's a bit worse than that." said Gwen.
As Miguel continues to try to shut down the machine, he actually sets off a failsafe Kang set on place in case of such a scenario.
"Uh oh!"
"O'Hara? What's going on?" Asked Gwen.
"I think Kang must've put a failsafe in place to keep me from trying to shut this off" he explained.
"That...was exactly his plan" said Jane.
"What was the point of this machine Jane?" Asked Gwen.
"Kang's army. When that thing goes off, they're all coming here" Jane explained.
"Alright people we gotta move!" shouts Gwen.
Meanwhile as the guards stood watch over the Avengers and The League, the failsafe goes off as they frantically looked around.
"The hell is going on?" Asked Jefferson.
The guards then get attacked by an unknown invisible force that was knocking them around and about.
"The hell?" Asked Barry.
"You guys need help?" Asked a voice.
The figure decloaked as it was Miles along with Peters 3 and 4.
Peter-3 webs the key over to Peter-4 as they free the other heroes.
"Hey Gwen? We got em!" said Miles.
"Good. We're on our way with Jane.
Just then, the door was being busted open with the slams getting louder and louder.
"Miles, go free the others, we'll buy you some time" said Peter-4 nodding to Peter-3.
The door then gets busted through landing on the wall as out came Venom, Sif, Bill, Shang Chi and The Ant Man Family.
"Oh. You guys are breaking them out too. Well. This is awkward". Said Scott.
"Backup is always nice" said Miles.
"Dad? Why are they're multiple Spider-Man's?" Asked Cassie.
"Other Spider-Mans from other universes." Explained Eddie.
"Oh. Sure. Why not?" she asked.
"C'mon. Let's get out of here" said Hope.
"Not without Jane." said Sam.
"Oh don't worry. We got another team working on that" said Peter-4.
Jane was carried by Gwen and Annie-May as Miguel was watching their backs taking down guards left and right.
"Miles status?" Asked Miguel punching guards.
"We got them, and we got backup too"
"Great, we meet at the front gate. Agreed?"
"Copy that. We'll meet there asap" said Miles
"Okay. So we gotta go now." said Peter-3.
"You guys think you can help us get everyone out of here?" Asked Peter-4
"We'll lead the way" assured Sif as she and Bill lead the charge.
Kang's guards were out in full force getting between the heroes and freedom.
Shang Chi was up first as he used the Ten Rings to clear a path with such swift elegance and technique. Bill channels the Thunder from Stormbreaker unleashing a storm of lightning from the hammer while also chopping the guards in half.
The Ant Man family shrunk down to zip around the guards like a speeding bullet thinning out the numbers. The guards were about to then open fire. Wong prepared a shield spell only for Venom to tear and eat the guards apart like a snack. He used his tendrils to slam them around and bite heads off letting out a roar.
Bill then throws the hammer blowing the front doors off clean as the heroes make their great escape!
"HEY! WAIT FOR US!" shouts Gwen with her team following behind her.
Sam then was getting some coordinates from an unknown person.
"We need to head back to the Mansion!" shouts Sam.
"So that's where we go" said Barry.
Meanwhile,
MJ was at work about to close everything and lock up as someone then enters.
"Hey bud! We're about to close up so.." said MJ packing up her things.
"Actually..."
The man was Cletus Kassidy as he turned into Carnage.
"We were just looking for you"
Carnage flips the sign from "Open" to "Closed". MJ walks back on terror as the Symbiote wraps his tendrils around her.
Kang's machine then finally goes off. Despite the heroes' escape, this was all part of the plan. Breaches in the Multiverse then opened up letting armies from across the Multiverse, villians from different timelines and Earths, a pouring into Earth-616 Prime.
Kang sitting on his hoverchair looking over the city begins to admire the work that's about to be done.
"Everything's going as it's supposed to."
