There once was an island untouched by man full of dragons. It consisted of many species and each lived in their own habitat which was their territory. They were all ruled by a royal family. This story is from a journal found close to where the island was believed to be located. Our story begins deep in an underground kingdom.

In the Ridge Mountain Caves on Mt. Cloudclaw far underground lived a Cavewing named Cave Cricket. She had a brother named Bat. They were almost full grown and worked as servants to the royal family, King Salamander and Queen Gloworm. Everyone knew that the Queen couldn't have eggs, for her condition was very bad. She had a disease that made her unable to walk. They had planned to adopt a boy and a girl dragonling, which was a young dragon. Cave Cricket and Bat were hoping to be the ones being chosen.

When a Cavewing reaches adulthood they get to be taken up to the capital city above ground. Every Cavewing dragonling dreams of working in the capital. Cave Cricket was different though and wished to go beyond the kingdom and explore the wide world. Bat on the other hand wished to stay underground and work in the mines.

Then Bat's birthday came and he reached adulthood. He was taken to the capital and Cave Cricket was left alone. Later, Bat got a job working in the mines and got to stay underground with Cave Cricket, which made his dream come true. Cave Cricket awaited the day she would go to the capital and escape the Cave Kingdom.

Finally, that day came. Cave Cricket was taken up to the surface. She saw daylight for the first time. At first it blinded her, but then she adjusted and saw a grand city of rock. She was taken on a tour and afterward she would choose her position. During the tour she snuck away and hid in a barrel. She rolled the barrel down a hill and accidently straight into the tour group again.

The tour guide was startled and opened the barrel. A dizzy Cave Cricket walked out. She had been caught. Then, she was chained to the tour guide to keep her from leaving.

They finally reached the end of the tour. Cave Cricket got the last pick. She was a miner. She was now never going to be able to escape now. She now joined Bat in mining glowing crystals. Bat knew that he had to help his sister escape. Starting that night.

Cave Cricket got in the minecart. A few minutes later Bat dumped her at the mining factory. Cave Cricket snuck around and got through security. She made it to the tunnels and made it to the surface. She was free. She spread her wings and flew East. By morning she reached the Boche Jungle.

She hadn't expected the jungle to be so colorful, and humid. Then she realized she hadn't planned as far as the Jungle. She had no map, no way of blending in, no food, and no water. She found a stream and took a drink. It felt good against the humidity.

Then she noticed some fallen feathers and tree sap. She rolled around in the sap and then the feathers. Boom a perfect disguise for a Junglewing. Now she needed a name for if anyone asked her. She finally came up with Grey Parrot because of her already gray color.

She spotted a sloth. She hoped it tasted good. She was starving. She hid in the leaves and pounced. She had caught it. Just as she took a bite she heard wings flapping. She looked up and saw Queen Gloworm. She was in trouble now.

Then, she saw Bat beside her. She realized that Bat had betrayed her to become the Prince. She hid in some nearby bushes. After they didn't find her they flew away. She came out of the bushes and decided that she would have to leave the Jungle and hide somewhere they would never find her.

She headed Northeast in search of the Tutlose archipelago. She hoped to find a deserted island to hide on. She passed over Elf Country, Murtle Lake, and Muropy Swamp. Finally, she reached the Ocean. She searched many islands, until she saw it. The Oceanwing Island Palace.

It was almost ancient, but beautiful at the same time. It was made of marble columns. She decided that the Tutlose Archipelago was no place to hide. She knew that Glacier Bay was freezing, so she couldn't hide there. Bonger Desert was way too hot and the Pasture Plains was full of severe weather, and the Lavalands didn't sound nice. She decided to go to the Tropic Peninsula. That is where she lived the rest of her life.
