Chapter 5

[Date - June 30th, 21XX)
(Location - Station Square, Residential District, Amy's Apartment)
.
Amy yawned, opening her weary eyes. She couldn't remember how late she was up until, maybe three thirty or four o'clock in the morning. Rubbing away the sleep, she yawned one more time. Noticing that rays of sunlight were shining through the windows, she leaned up, glancing at the alarm clock on her nightstand. 'Crap, it's almost three in the afternoon!' The pink hedgehog mentally shamed herself for sleeping so late. Tugging back the duvet, she tossed it to the side, swinging her feet over the edge in advance of hopping up. As the brain fog cleared, like a flash of lightning, everything that had occurred earlier came spilling into her memory. Looking around the room, then toward the bed, she sighed. Shaking her head in disappointment, she started figuring that what she experienced was nothing more than a massive wet dream. "Was it all a dream?"
"Was what all a dream?" Sonic's voice got her attention, getting her eyes to dart up where she saw him coming into the room with a big sandwich in his hand.
Amy gasped with a smile on her face prior to covering her mouth, embarrassed at appearing so excited. "Sonic!" She gleefully exclaimed. "You really did sleep with me last night?"
Having taken a bite out of his sandwich, he nearly choked on it, coughing a few times in response to what she said and the way she said it. "Don't…" He coughed into his other hand. "Don't say it like that, Amy! Geez! It makes it sound like we did stuff together." Following that, he chewed his mouthful, not acknowledging the strange look she gave him.
Raising her eyebrow, Amy pondered his reaction. 'Wait… Does he not remember being all physical with me?' Scrutinizing his behaviour, it looked like the original Sonic was back in action. The childish smile on his face as he munched down on the sandwich accompanied by a happily swinging tail, it indicated he had reverted to his normal self. 'Hmm…' She continued to investigate. 'I thought it was a dream, so maybe he does as well.' Not being able to shrug it off, wanting to know if he could remember earlier this morning at all, she formulated a way to figure out what he knew. "Where did you get that sandwich?" The pink hedgehog asked.
Sonic bit into the sandwich as he moaned from the taste. "Oh… I made it."
"Just now?" Amy pressed him for answers.
"Yeah! Oh… But, umm… Yeah, sorry… I probably shouldn't have gone into your fridge. I was just sooo hungry and you were still sleeping." He suddenly realized what he had done.
Laughing, she stretched her muscles out with a few light aerobic exercises before heading for her closet. "It's okay, I don't mind." Glancing back, she laughed again as she noticed he made it a double-decker sandwich. "If you were that hungry, you could have woken me up. I would have made you breakfast."
Sonic waved her off as she went into the closet, tugging on the pull cord to the ceiling light. "It's alright. You looked like you were sleeping peacefully, so I didn't want to wake you up."
Glancing around at her clothing, she went for the usual red dress she always donned, grabbing one off of a hanger before bringing it out to lay on the bed. "You watched me sleep?" She teased him with a smile and her tongue very slightly pushed between her lips.
"No way!" He nearly choked again. "Don't joke around like that either while I'm eating. I don't want to waste this."
Amy narrowed her eyes in suspicion. 'Does he really not remember earlier?' She wondered in her head. Soon enough, she began to accept the possibility that he had merely been delusional, which would account for why he doesn't seem to recall getting frisky with her. Her face returned to normal as she ambled over to her dresser. "I was just thinking, with how much you tossed and turned last night, you must have gotten up a while ago. Maybe you spent a while watching me sleep once you woke up?" Pulling open the dresser drawer, she rooted around for a pair of fresh panties prior to opening another drawer to look for a bra.
Sonic stuck his tongue out like a brat, before suddenly looking away once he noticed her holding her undergarments. A slight blush crept upon his face as he spoke with a mouthful of food. "I don't really remember last night. All I can remember is coming here, falling in the shower and then you taking me to your bed. I must have passed right out. I don't even think I dreamed." Taking another bite out of his sandwich, this time he chewed and swallowed it in advance of talking. "Thankfully, I feel so recharged now. I don't think I need to take one of those pills either, I'm not even in any pain right now."
"That's good!" Amy happily proclaimed, glad that he wouldn't take that potential poison anymore. Nonetheless, she couldn't stop from wondering if he really was unable to recall the events that transpired in her bed. "So, you slept well? Nothing woke you up?"
Sonic finished off his sandwich with a few more quick bites. "Totally. I slept like a log. Your bed is way better than mine… It sucks that I spent a fortune on mine though; it sucks even worse that it got destroyed by dipwads."
Once she acquired a pair of socks, she closed all the drawers to her dresser. "Don't forget what I told you, I don't mind if you wanna stay here until you get your place cleaned up." Picking up everything she had down on the bed, she turned to him on the way out of the room and said "Why don't you wait in the living room on the couch while I take a shower and get dressed? We can get things figured out once I'm done."
Sonic agreed with her, yet was wary of the offer extended toward him regarding staying here. Walking out of the room alongside her, he scoffed. "I don't know, Amy. I might get a hotel if I can… I don't want to be a burden. Plus, who knows what you did or will do to me while I'm sleeping."
Going into the bathroom, she waited until she closed the door before jumping around like a fool to get the energy out of her body. 'What did that mean!?' She thought as her cheeks reddened and she flailed her arms out of embarrassment. 'Did that mean he remembered what he did to me?' Gasping with her mouth dropped to the floor, she pondered if perhaps he was thinking about what she did afterward. 'No… He… He wasn't awake when I-...?' Shaking her head, she gave her cheeks a slight slap, refusing to believe that he could have possibly been awake while she pleasured herself to his sleeping form. 'That's… No, he was out cold. He couldn't have known I did that or else he'd have been out of here right then and there.'
Taking off her pajamas, she removed her top first and then her bottoms. After turning on the water in the shower, placing her palm under the stream. While waiting for it to become warm, she pulled her panties down between her feet. Stepping out of her panties, standing there completely nude, she took a brief moment to look at her bare body in the mirror. Although her back and legs had pink fur, her cheeks, arms, torso, down to her unspoiled flower, were hairless. 'Is it possible he's pretending? What if he doesn't want me to know that he knows?' Hanging her head with a sigh, she admitted how silly that sounded. 'Come on, Amy. Keep it together. This is Sonic the Hedgehog we're talking about. He's never been a very affectionate guy. If he knew what I did, no way would he still be here.'
Looking away from her nude pink body, she stepped over the ledge of the bathtub, pulled the shower curtain and then stood underneath the stream of water, letting it cascade down into her quills. Once every inch of her fur was drenched, she grabbed a bottle of body wash, opening it prior to squirting a glob in her hands. Lathering her fur, she soaped up her body before grabbing the lotus scented shampoo to clean her quills. 'Keep it together, Amy.'
Sonic walked into the living room as he finished he sandwich. He tossed the paper plate in a nearby trash can. Sitting down on the couch, he grabbed the remote, turning the big television on. 'Geez, Amy…' The blue hedgehog thought. 'Do you really need this big of a T.V.?' As soon as the television powered on, he was met with a screen containing tons of streaming apps. "What the? Oh, come on… I just want to watch the news or something. How do I get to the live stations?" Navigating through all the different on-screen platforms, he eventually found the icon that took him to the satellite feed. "There we go." Flipping through the channels, he found one displaying the Station Square News Network and stayed on it, hoping to fill himself in on what had occured since he'd been unconscious for an entire week.
Seeing that it was a weather report, he laid his head back against the backrest of the couch. Hearing the water still running in the bathroom, knowing that Amy was still taking a shower, he turned his head to look at his phone on the end table. He had to put it on the charger since he didn't bother to do so last night. Not having received a notification since this morning while he was asleep, he decided to grab it to take a look. There wasn't anything else on there other than the voice message Tails had left him earlier. Wanting to hear the peppy kitsune's voice, he pressed play prior to holding it up to his ear.
{Hey Sonic! It's me, Tails. I just got your message once I landed by the workshop. I don't know why I didn't get it before, I never saw a point where my signal dropped beneath two bars… Oh well!} He explained the best he could. {You know how technology can still be finicky, no matter how far into the future we go. Ha!} Sonic felt his lips curl up at the ends, forming a smile as he nodded in agreement with his best friend. {I just want you to know that I'm here for you, man. Of course you can stay at the workshop! You can stay as long as you want; we built that place together, half of it is yours, how could I say no? I tell you what, I've been flying for days, so I'm going to take a quick nap and then I'll get the place straight, maybe order some pizza for us. I know you've been dying to play the new SEGA heroes game! We can eat pizza and stay up all night playing games! I'll give you a call after I rest, okay? Talk to you then, dude! Bye!}
Whenever the message ended, he held the phone away to look at the time it was sent. Seeing that it was sent at 9:56 A.M., then glancing at the clock to see it was three o' two in the afternoon, he wondered why he hadn't heard that callback yet. "Maybe I should give him a quick call to see what he's doing." He reasoned with himself in advance of quietly thinking 'Amy won't mind. It's not like we're boyfriend or girlfriend.' Chuckling at the thought, he dialed Tails' number on his cracked phone.
Hearing the dial tone ring, it only happened twice before Tails picked up. {Sonic!} The cheery voice of Tails chimed through the line. Immediately, the yellow fox explained to the blue hedgehog why he hadn't called back as he said he would, as if he had a feeling his friend would be angry at him for not being on-time or for making a mistake. {I'm sorry for not calling you back. I just woke up. I laid down in my bed and I must have been on another planet! I was so tired... The trip back here was fourteen hours!}
"It's all good, man." Sonic replied, simply glad to be hearing his voice. "I know what you mean with the long flights. I'm glad you got some rest."
Tails chuckled lightly as he lightened up. {So, what's up? Where have you been? We've all been worried sick about you.}
"I was kidnapped by Eggman. Well… rescued and hospitalized." Sonic informed him, even now unable to fully understand what Dr. Robotnik's motives were.
{What!?} Tails exclaimed with dire worry in his voice. {Holy crap! What did he do to you!? Are you okay!?}
Sonic blinked as all the bad things that happened to him resurfaced in his mind. Taking a deep breath, he whined despondently. "Yeah… I think I am now… I was in the process of being beat up by this street gang of humans. They caught me off guard and started wailing on me, calling me garbage and an stupid anthro. In their opinion, I never should have tried to handle Eggman. Despite the fact that I'd tangled with that omelet brain a million times, they told me I was useless as well as a drain on human society, all because I'd failed that one time."
{Oh, man. I'm so sorry.} Tails apologized for how rough life, particularly people in it, can be. {They just don't understand how tough it can be to live the life of a hero. In fact, when most of them hear the word hero, they assume we're a breed apart from everybody else, that our super powers, if we have them, are all that we are. They think we should never lose just because we're stronger than them. But, you know all too well that isn't the case… Just because you're fast, doesn't mean you can be in two places at once. You can't split yourself apart.}
Glad to hear his friend telling him that he wasn't at fault, he started trying to actually believe that this time, especially since Amy had been saying the same thing to him this entire time. "I wish they understood that." He grumbled. "It's not fair to treat me the way they have."
{No, it's not. But, that's all they know.} Tails expressed his beliefs. {They're not out there rescuing people like we are, they're living their own lives that have their own ups and downs. To them, they consider it a failure whenever we can't stop the villain from interfering with their daily norms.}
"My life was interfered with too!" Sonic retorted.
{That they don't see.} Tails replied. {To them, it's your job and you didn't do it.}
"I tried!" Sonic interjected. "Lord knows I've tried."
{I know that, dude. Trust me. I'm just letting you know how they think.} Tails said before wondering about the situation {How did EggHead get involved?}
Sonic chuckled to release the stress from the anxiety within him "He was the one who actually rescued me."
{No friggin' way.] Tails said dumbfounded.
"I know, it…" Sonic sighed from discussing the tough matter. "I still don't know why and I'm not going to pretend to understand why he saved me, why he really saved me."
{Wait a second…} Tails stopped him with a query. {I saw the news on my phone that the gang had been killed by gunfire and a laser. Are you saying Eggman did that?}
Sonic scoffed. "Well, it sure wasn't me... It's true though… I just don't rememer it well becasue I had a concusion, but apparently he murdered all of them other than one with old fashioned ballistics. Afterward, he took me to the Egg Carrier and tended to my wounds until I woke up yesterday."
{Yesterday? Oh, wow…} Tails lamented {I thought you were just hiding out, maybe left your phone on too long until its battery died…}
"Nope…" Sonic replied, wishing beyond all means that could have been what happened instead of reality.
Waiting a few seconds, he heard Tails exhale too. {I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, Sonic. I shouldn't have taken that course on Engineering in Empire City. The Guardian Units of Nations offered it to me for free since I helped them avoid that catastrophic failure with their rockets headed for Space Colony ARK.}
"You don't have to apologize, Tails. I get it, I really do." Sonic's gaze drifted over toward the television as the weather segment wrapped up, moving on to local news. "It's not your fault that any of this happened. You didn't beat me up or put me in a medically induced coma for a week after turning all of society against me, you also didn't destroy everything inside of my apartment."
{Yeah, I heard that in your message… Who did that?} Tails inquired.
"I don't know…" Sonic shook his head as he watched the news. A segment aired on the city's best cuisine of the month, where a reporter informed people of the most scrumptious meals made by regional restaurants. "I think it might have been the remainder of the gang, those that Eggman didn't kill. It's the only people I could think of that would have that big of a beef with me. Sure, there were a lot of people who were angry at me, but not enough to take a baseball bat to me."
{That does make sense.} Tails replied. {What are you going to do, clean it up?}
Sonic smiled softly as he watched the broadcast change to an update on community housing being built in the eastern sector of the residential district. "I don't really have a choice. It's not like I can stay here at Am-..." He caught himself, holding his fist to his forehead in frustration for letting that slip.
{Ooooooh!} The juvenile genius whooped {Did you just say you were staying over at Amy's place?}
Groaning, Sonic said "Yeah, yeah… Don't rub it in."
{Sonic and Amy, sitting in a tree… K, I, S, S, I, N, G!} He teased.
Feeling his cheeks heat up, the hedgehog rolled his eyes in annoyment. "Come on… That's rubbing in it. I swear, we didn't do anything. There wasn't any kissing. I just needed a place to crash and she's the only one that happened to be here at the time." He glanced over in the direction of the bathroom, making sure Amy hadn't come out of the shower yet in advance of saying "Don't make me feel creeped out anymore about being here than I already am. Did you know she has like twenty shampoo bottles in her shower?"
{You went in her shower? Oooooh. You know she probably had a camera on you in there.} Tails laughed. {Did you see any camera lenses?}
Sonic grunted as he snapped back a bit. "Do you think I would have been in there if I did!? Dude, come on!"
Tails laughed yet again before getting serious. {Okay, okay… I'm just kidding. I doubt there was a camera in there. I'm glad she took you in too... The last thing I wanted was for you to be sleeping in some ditch.}
Making a face of surprise, Sonic leaned up on the couch, watching as the news drifted into another segment on a special complimentary pass for couples going to Twinkle Park. "Ha! About that, it's another story entirely… I'll tell you about it some other time."
"Who are you talking to?" Amy's voices abruptly asked him, taking him out of his focus.
"Amy!" He shouted in shock as he bore witness to her standing there in nothing more than a towel wrapped around her waist and a towel wrapped around her quills like a turban. "N-Nobody! I… I mean, I am talking to somebody! It's just Tails!"
Amy smiled as water dripped from her. "Oh, tell him I said hi!" Turning around, she went back into the bathroom to continue getting ready.
Sonic, on the other hand, had to calm himself. It took a moment. For whatever reason, he didn't expect her to catch him on the phone, nor did he plan on seeing her post-shower in nothing but a towel. "Jeez…"
{Was that Amy? Boy, you sound nervous!} Tails quipped.
"Shut it!" Sonic demanded as his blush increased.
Tails laughed on the other end of the phone before saying {Just saying… Now you have to pick between staying here with me or over there with miss hot stuff.}
"Tails!" Sonic hissed. "What the hell, man!?"
{What?} The cheeky kitsune played innocent. {I'll give you some time to think about it. Since I woke up so late and you're already over there with Amy, do you mind if I take a while to clean and fix up the Tornado? You can come over later on and we'll work on its engine together before we have our pizza party.}
Tapping his hand to his index finger to his forehead, he shrugged, even though he knew Tails couldn't see it. "Sure… I guess that would be okay." Hearing his phone chirp in his hand, he looked at the screen to see that he was receiving another call. The display indicated that it was Knuckles. Part of him felt better knowing all of his friends were trying to get in touch with him to figure out where he had been. It proved him wrong by wondering if they had abandoned him. "I gotta go. knuckle butt is calling me."
{See you later, dude!} Tails responded before hanging up.
Pressing the answer icon, his phone transferred him over to Knuckle's line. "Hey, Knuckles. What's up?"
{Sonic… What's up, yourself? You've had Tails and Amy worried sick about you.} Knuckles stoically reprimanded him.
Clearing his throat, he tried to explain. "I know, I know. I just got off the phone with Tails and I told him the same thing I'm about to tell you. I was beat up by a gang of humans and then rescued by Eggman. He had me onboard the Egg Carrier in the infirmary for a week until my wounds had healed up."
{You couldn't have called?} Knuckles sounded aggravated.
"Not really…" The blue hedgehog explained. "I was in a medically induced coma."
{Oh…} Was all the red echidna said.
Sensing his irritation, Sonic dug into it, trying to figure out why he was being snubbed. "What's up, man? You sound pissed…" Following a moment to think about it, Sonic chuckled. "You missed me, didn't you?"
Knuckles grunted {No. I didn't miss you…... I was just… worried about you.} Laying it all out, Knuckles filled him in {Amy called me a hundred times, none of us knew where you went. I told her that you were okay, but I wasn't positive. I wasn't sure if I needed to be on guard here so I've been watching the Master Emerald twenty four seven.}
"I'm just having a difficult time, okay?" Sonic said. "I don't think anybody is coming for the Master Emerald."
{You're sure?} Knuckles wanted to know.
Standing up from the cough, Sonic strolled over to the living room windows. Taking a look outside of the middle window, he saw that the apartment building appeared to have its own pool downstairs. From the number of people out there, they were enjoying it as a community. Although the hedgehog wasn't a fan of trying to swim, he was brought happiness seeing the kids having fun with their squirt guns, a reminder of the innocence that he himself once had before it was taken away by evil humans like Eggman. "I'm sure. Eggman isn't after the Master Emerald this time. I don't know why, but he's got it in his head that if he and I worked together, we could take over the world."
{Take over the world together? Has he been on drugs?} Knuckles sincerely pondered.
Sonic chuckled as he responded. "He must have been. The guy is out of his mind. There's no way I'd work for or even with him."
{Hmm… I don't like the sounds of this. He's got a plan.} Knuckles speculated. {Make sure to watch your back.}
Tapping his foot, Sonic held his gloved palm to the window pane prior to saying "Don't worry, I intend to after being ambushed by a bunch of scumbags." Shaking his head at having to explain it numerous times, he tried to summarize it for the time being. "I'm pretty much homeless right now. My place got trashed…" Turning away from the window, he returned to the couch, plopping down right in the center of it. "I'm beginning to hate this city, Knuckles. The people in it are jerks."
{Why do you think I stay out in the Mystic Ruins?} The red echidna informed Sonic. {Besides the Master Emerald being here on Angel Island, there's so many fewer people to deal with than in Station Square.}
"Is it just the way of humanity?" Sonic asked.
{What? To be assholes? Yeah, definitely.} Knuckles chuckled.
Sonic laughed at that, feeling like it was the truth. "No, man. I mean bad at heart?"
Knuckles took a moment to respond prior to saying {Nah. There's more bad out there than you think, but they aren't all that way. Most aren't even evil, just selfish. People like Eggman are the exception to the rule.}
On the television, all of the sudden, the news broadcast shifted over to a report on none other than him. Seeing his name and picture on the screen, he held the phone away for a moment in amazement. He didn't expect this at all. The reporter was at the scene where he was attacked by the street gang, standing in the exact same spot. Quickly holding the phone up to his ear, he spoke into the mouthpiece "Hey, Knuckles? I'll call you back later, alright?"
{Fine. Just don't go into another coma while I'm waiting.} His sarcasm bled through.
Sonic rolled his eyes. "Not funny. Talk to you later." After hanging up the phone, he sat it back down on the end table to finish charging. With his eyes glued to the television, he grabbed the remote in order to turn up the volume. "What in the hell?"
{It was right here on this spot a week ago, around approximately seven thirty four P.M., that Station Square's hero was brutally attacked by the notorious street gang known as the Concrete Junkies. Sonic the Hedgehog, our favourite blue speedster, was captured on film being hammered with wooden baseball bats. Witnesses told SSNN that Sonic was visually intoxicated when he was ambushed by six humans; five of which were males and one a female. Although they incapacitated Sonic on film, they were found dead by the time officers made it on scene.} The reporter issued his report as a crappy phone video played a recording of the events that transpired that horrible evening. {These six individuals still haven't had their names released by the Station Square Police Department, but they have confirmed using gang tattoos that they were members of the Concrete Junkies.}
Sonic sat on the edge of the cushion as he stared at the news broadcast. "What witnesses!?" He shouted madly, vividly recalling looking around when he was being beaten, only to see empty streets. Using the trajectory based upon the location the video appeared to be recorded from, he tried to recall if there could have been anybody around him then that he didn't notice. Unfortunately, it wasn't easy to think past the haze littering his memory. One thing he still felt was for sure, If there was somebody else there filming him get his ass kicked, he didn't see them at all. "That's crap! What, were all these people just sitting around watching me get killed!? What the fuck?!" He bared his fangs in anger as he threw his hands up in the air.
"What's going on?" Amy called out to him as she walked around the corner from where the bedroom and bathroom were. Having heard Sonic's shouting, she wanted to know why he was doing so.
{Officers were unable to locate Sonic the Hedgehog amongst the bodies of the Concrete Junkies. Witnesses all report being occupied calling 911 when the deaths of the street gang occurred as well as when Sonic disappeared} The recording of him being attacked ended, only to be replayed in a tiny rectangle next to the reporter's head.
Craning his neck, he had a sour look on his face because of the news broadcast, yet lit up when he saw how Amy looked. Instead of the typical backless red dress she had picked out earlier, she donned a purple sundress with black wedge-heeled shoes. "Whoa…." Staring for a few seconds, he eventually realized what he was doing and quickly shook his head, reverting his gaze back toward the television. "I… I mean, it's this news! They're saying that there was a witness to my attack."
Seeing the recording play out on the news of her idol being repeatedly smacked with baseball bats, Amy had trouble looking at the screen. She didn't want to see it anymore than she already had over the course of the week. "Well, I told you that one person captured it on camera." Walking over to the couch, she sat next to him, once again getting so close that their legs touched. Without having her pajama bottoms on, their fur was free to intermingle in their leg-free choice of clothing.
Sonic gently pulled his leg away from hers as her perfume wafted into his nostrils, making his insides wiggle due to the odd attraction to the scent. Trying to focus on the news broadcast, he said "There's no way though. I just don't recall their being anybody there. I literally remember having the thought that it was strangely empty around me for the time of night it was."
Placing her hand on his knee, she squeezed it softly to show her solidarity. "You were drunk and being beaten by six people. I don't blame you for not noticing."
"That…" Sonic grumbled. "That's not my point."
{Although he was presumed dead by many, Sonic was recently seen returning to the city by a boat on the Station Square Docks.} The reporter continued {Several witnesses noted him to look injured, but recovering. Opinion is split on whether or not folks actually want him actively protecting Station Square, especially if he is the one responsible for the murders of six humans. Some have stated that it was clearly self-defense since the hedgehog was being attacked by people planning to kill him, however, others say he went too far in how he killed them.} On-screen, the cameras switched over to a desk where several humans sat in their spiffy suits. {Here with us to weigh in on the issue is the mayor's assistant, Mr. Owen Kincaid as well as Station Square's own Police Commissioner, Richard Bradshaw. Mr. Kincaid, you first, what do you think of the sonic boom we've been facing with our speedy hero?}
Grabbing the remote from him, Amy turned the television off, not wanting him to hear what those people might have to say. "How about we not worry about what these people are saying?" Tossing the remote over toward the papasan chair, she tugged his arm to get him to lean against her. "I was thinking we could go out for dinner, then maybe visit Twinkle Park." Smiling, she used wide puppy-dog eyes to try and convince him, hoping beyond everything that he would relent. "I'll pay for it if you're worried about that."
Still getting a whiff of that perfume, Sonic tried tugging his arm away from his pink stalker, only for her to hug it harder. "W-What, like a date?" His ears flattened back as he looked everywhere other than at Amy.
Amy giggled, leaned up and gently kissed his cheek. "You don't have to consider it a date if you don't want to. You do owe me though."
"For what?" Sonic's left eyebrow lifted as his face flushed.
Amy tapped his nose with her index finger as she said. "Uhh, how about for watching over you all last night and letting you sleep in my bed? Or using my shower, eating my food… I think I could go on for a bit." Sticking her tongue out playfully, she nudged him until he replied.
"Fine, I'll go out with you." Sonic spoke as he hid his blushing cheeks. "I'm not going to consider it a date though."
Amy smiled wide as she stood up from the couch and pulled him up too. "You'll have fun, I promise. Come on, let's go."
"What, right now?" Sonic pondered, rather wishing that he could laze about her couch for the rest of the afternoon. "Can't I relax for a little while longer?"
"Nope…" She replied sternly despite the smile plastered on her face as she pulled him toward the door.
