CHAPTER 9: Bugs bite
[PROMPT: Together]
The few fight scenes filmed during the past weeks had been torture for the feline hero.
The fight scenes themselves were easy; no need for stunt doubles or hard training. However, mediating the constant catfights between his Lady and Aimée was something else… a whole new sport to say the least. In comparison to their current feud, the fight they had spearheaded against the Monarch, his father, was child's play. All things considered, he would rather face Gabriel Agreste a hundred times over than suffer all the estrogen stemming from two hostile females fighting.
Luckily, the filming was almost over by now, and only the few final scenes taking place in Istanbul were left to record.
They were taking off in a private plane tomorrow at noon with the few actors needed for the final filming—which meant Aimée too, unfortunately.
Ever since she found out, his Lady had wanted to use her power-up to fly straight to Istanbul…
"M'Lady, c'mon. It's a bit unladylike to fly your way to Istanbul all alone."
"Then Astrochat just has to come with me," she shot back.
Chat Noir crossed his arms over his strong chest, tilting his head, giving her a disapproval stance. "You know that's not the point, right? We're a whole cast, a team, and—"
"No! WE ARE a team. You…" She pointed a finger on his chest before pointing it on hers. "…and me." She ran her finger in a circle to make her point. "Together that's it. Not Aimée! She'll never be a part of the team, and don't dare to ask me to be friendly with her," she snapped at him.
"Har har! I knew it." He was the one pointing a finger at her now. "It's only about Aimée! Listen, I know she's a pain in the ass but you can't just avoid the whole crew because of her."
"Har har!" From an external standpoint, this looked like a fingers-war from kindergarten children. "Who's the one swearing now, huh?!"
"Well, we're a team. Teammates swear together. They also go through difficulties together, and you're breaking that code by trying to flee," he stated matter-of-factly.
Ladybug looked at him wide-eyed, speechless for a few seconds until she tried to object again. "I'm not trying to flee. I… I just… I'm just—argh! Fine. You're right. I'm running away!" She eventually admitted, raising her hands in the air as she surrendered because, of course, he was right.
A smug smile tugged at the corner of the feline's lips, his eyes sparkling with sheer mischief.
"Happy?" Ladybug groaned.
"Not yet." His sly smirk only widened as he pounced on her, sweeping her off her feet, ditching her over his shoulder and carrying her like a sack of potatoes.
"Chat Noir! Put me down!" she objected, her fists relentlessly drumming against his lower back.
The feline chuckled, tightening his grip on her. "Not a chance, little grumpy bug. I won't let you flee and fly away."
"You really act like a predatory cat!" she groaned, swinging her fists again.
"And you really wriggle like a little mouse more than a bug. Are you sure you're wearing the right Miraculous, M'Lad— ouch!" Well, what he just felt didn't really hurt but he could distinguish the sting somewhere above his gorgeous and precious backside. Was that her teeth? Well, fuck!
"Ah you see, bugs bite!" she sniggered. "Now, let me down."
"I will let you down only if you promise me something," Chat suggested as his walk toward the exit came to a stop.
"What is it?" Her ragging punches also came to a break.
"We'll meet tonight to run on the rooftops and release some of that tension you're holding back; it's been a while since there's no more villains to fight, and the filming has not allowed us a lot of free time for patrols. I think you don't spend enough of that energy of yours," he explained, his tone growing serious as he put her down. She now faced him, and he couldn't help his true self to take the lead, wriggling his eyebrows with a sly grin as a thought occurred to him. "I know some better ways to spend that energy, but I don't think you'll agree. So just a run, that's it."
"Chat!" Ladybug yelped, her complexion giving some decent competition to her mask.
"I'm not sorry," he chuckled as he made his way out of the building. "See you there, grumpy bug."
"You, Chat fucking Noir!"
He could hear stomp her foot against the ground as she cursed behind his back, making him laugh even more; she was so cute when she was flustered.
